  1. Thought was one of the better episodes of the whole series -- heck , we even got some information finally( had about given up on that ever happening). Only quibble was with the flatness of the scenes between Tom and Lizzie. Their chemistry went poof. But he is out and about in the previews for next week so should improve.

  2. The last scene, for the first time in a while I was surprised, good job The Blacklist. AND the bomb that was promised last week was delivered after ONE episode! Again, good job, more of this in the future please.

  5. For me, it was the bits where Liz was getting out of the hospital bed and prancing about in her underwear :D Megan Boone is gorgeous!

  6. Wow this epi was great!!

I totally guessed that food truck girl was Berlin's kid!

This epi would have been amazing if Red had turned and asked Lizzie if she like anchovies!

Then we would know for sure if Liz was his kid or not. Mind you she must be, given how concerned and vengeful he is on her behalf. I can't wait till she fesses up that she has Tom on the boat. This is going to be spectacular. I think the show should get on with the reveal, so that they can focus on how Red and Liz get along......bringing the two together. It is going to be epic.

Well done epi! Also can't wait to hear what Berlin has to say for himself, as he was the one through his inattention to have lost his kid.

  7. Right, who is that bodyguard ( maybe a former close acquaintance of her foster father?). Maybe she inherited money from her foster father after Red snuffed him.

  8. One would think that she would put the money to better use....Lizzie's turning out to be an interesting enigma....here she is a Fed, and then she starts behaving like Red....she is more like her father then she realizes.

  9. Best scene of the episode is definitely that surprising, and explosive (storyline-wise), reveal about Zoe being Berlin's daughter. I am still shocked that a promo for The Blacklist finally actually delivered on what was promised (i.e., Reddington will reveal a "bomb").

  10. She is certainly not walking the straight and narrow anymore.

  11. Yep, I just want to know what Red's reaction will be when he finds out she is a chip off the old block! Seriously....she must know, considering that Tom must have told her about the connection....she has tortured him after all.....

  12. But Tom still did not know the connection when he was showing his unwelcome female cohort ( that he then murdered) the ties between Red and Lizzie that he had pinned up on his work board. Remember just about all he said was that Red had been supporting Lizzie as far back as he could follow the trail. Nothing about why.

  13. Hmmm....I thought he had indicated that he knew the connection between the two....and that is what drove her to ask Red again if he was her father....it was because that was one of Tom's parting shots at her.

  14. You could very well be right. It's just that this show loves misdirects. I do not bite now till they lay it out.

  15. Don't I know it. Sadly, I love it as well.

It could be a classic case that both Red and Liz know and neither of them know that the other knows...and the show wants to keep the viewer in the dark until the actual reveal. Esp. given all the naysayers on the issue.

There is no doubt in my mind that Liz is Red's kid, esp. now...given all the scenes that we have seen between the two of them this season.

Personally, I think it will make the show better....as Liz may be faced with a choice to join Red ....which would or could make for an equally interesting twist.....

  16. Now that would make for an amazing twist-- Lizzie leaving the FBI and joining Red and Dembe and working with the FBI team as a liason and not as an insider. Interesting idea.

  17. It would be an amazing turn for the show....after Liz and Red had worked through their issues....I need to know whyyyyy did he come back for her...after all of this time....and how come Berlin knew about her....the reveal on their relationship is threaded throughout the show...as Berlin was going to exact revenge on Red through Red's daughter, as he believed that Red had killed his daughter to exact revenge on him.

In my mind the twist should be like Silence of the Lambs, upped on steroids.

  18. Red hitting golf balls into that guys house was hilarious! Plus a quote from George Orwell always comes in handy, especially when criticizing his entire body of work with "What a visionary, but good Lord, his books are a downer."

  19. Please let me know if I am being a pest with this question, but you have interesting ideas and I have been living in perplexity and you did bring up Silence of the Lambs. I never understood how Berlin managed this complex network and plan to begin with if he had become a prisoner again. I understand he once escaped from prison using the bone he thought was from "his daughter". So why was he a prisoner again - as evidenced on the plane that crashed- ( thus my wondering how he managed all those operatives in his network while in captivity) and why did he have to cut his whole hand off to claim he was the guard of the prisoner who escaped ( and not the prisoner) when all he had to do( and this is where your Silence of the Lambs mention brings up in my mind the followup movie of 2001, Hannibal, starring Hopkins again but this go -round with Juliane Moore- I am referencing the ending of this film) was cut of his thumb to escape the cuff restraints - not the whole hand. ( I am sure you remember that is how Hannibal escaped when Moore's Clarice handcuffed them at the refrigerator the end) . Plus, remember Tom told Lizzie in their big townhouse destroying brawl that he was part of the good guys -- which I have yet to see a shred of evidence for. So, what was that about ? Don't worry about replying if this is all a tedious botherance from me as I will understand.

  20. Dunno....not sure if I have picked up the question right....

To be honest I don't care about Tom at all....he is really boring....as well, he seems like he would say anything .... he is after all a proven liar.....

    ReplyDelete
  21. Tom's role has become more boring, you are right. Actually, the main question was really why was Berlin a prisoner on the plane when he was supposed to have escaped prison using the human bone . Thanks anyway. I am the nutty one for trying to make sense out of the convoluted and misdirecting plots.
