Taking Tyreese instead of Michonne??? Oh right, we have to have him there to talk Rick into "negotiating". I'm so sick of this "give peace a chance" bulls@*!!!!
To be honest, I think Gabriel is going to met his own demise out there.
As for Carol, that's what I thought so as well, the whole time Rick was acting like the lover/spouse. He was feral in a way one would think Daryl should've been. And it reminds me a lot the way Rick was searching for Lori back when the prison was overran.
I liked how they managed to show all of the storylines that are happening and converged Rick's group with the guards at Grady Memorial. Rick and the group infiltrating the outskirts of the hospital and trying to capture some of the guards was hands down my favorite part of the episode! And when Daryl used a walker skull as a weapon and struck at the guard's head! Everything about that sequence was so badass. Can't freaking wait to see Dawn's reaction to Rick's arrival at Grady. He will do everything in his power to take back two of his people.
Gabriel going out into the open world, by himself, is going to be pretty hard on the guy (he didn't even kill a walker!). I wonder if he'll even survive being alone. Should be interesting to watch. Also, I really hope that the medicine that Beth put in Carol's IV will wake her up in the midseason finale! I need her and Beth to get the hell out of Grady and be back in Rick's group.
Overall, a pretty enjoyable episode that sets up the midseason finale. Can't wait to see the epic showdown of Rick's group vs. Dawn/Grady Memorial!
I agree with you! Sasha is becoming annoying and Tyreese has become a big care taker. I mean what happen to the big beast that he was when they first started on the show. Michoone, RIck and Daryl would have kicked butt at the hospital!
Will Sonequa ( Sasha) Martin-Green's real life pregnancy ( Bob's baby ? ) be apart of the show ? ( on Talking Dead this evening she said you'll just have to wait and see )
Actually, it was Michonne's knowing smile what really sold the idea: she seemed amused at Rick explanation as to why he had to go for Carol and why he wouldn't allow Carl to go with him.
It also reminds me a lot the way Rick wouldn't let Carl go after Lori with him for back when the farm was overran.
Definitely a set up episode. I've enjoyed the season for the most part, but they slowed way the hell down after the first 3 episodes, all so they could make the hospital the big showdown for the midseason finale. I enjoyed the Beth episode, but I don't think the hospital people are more interesting than the Terminus people were. Kind of a bad trade. Alas, it is what it is. Here's hoping the midseason finale is all kinds of awesome, and the rumors were wrong.
Why the frak does the group keep hindering Rick with their talks about 'talks' and negotiating? Do they think themselves capable of being leaders? Simply put they are not. I can't believe, I am saying this, but I will be very happy if they killed off Tyreese. Dude is getting on my nerves with his sermonizing.
Bit of a slow burner this week, but some good scenes.
I think Gabriel has somewhere he is trying to get to, which is why he's so desperate to get out of the church. Remember when they found him cowering in a rock? He was trying to go somewhere then too.
The whole section with Glenn and co was a bit pointless. They found a yo-yo... Unless that yo-yo is used to strangle a baddie in the next episode, I can't see why the writers bothered with them this week.
And Sacha is a complete idiot. Who honestly didn't see that coming a mile off?
Bring on next week, I say. Let's get Beth and Carol back.
I'm not a Bethyl-shipper, but why should Bethyl shippers care about romantic relationships of Daryl's sister? It's amusing how some so called shippers still don't get about what the relationship between Daryl and Carol is. Do they need to lie naked in the same bed without even sharing a kiss?
Norman Reedus said Daryl/Carol is more like a bromance and that Carol is Daryl's best friend. Yesterday he said in a new interview Beth made Daryl feel butterflies. How obvious can you be? Even if Beth dies Caryl isn't happening.
I think Alexandra Brekenridge is playing Jessie (Rick's love interest in the comics) and Michonne or Sasha will play Andrea's part. Keeping my finger crossed for Michonne.
The portion with Glenn's group was odd. I felt like it kind of slowed the episode down when we went back to them or Maggie. I don't know if this is right, but it seemed to me like Tara was the only one that wasn't bothered by Eugene's admission. I mean, she may have been angry that he lied, but at the same time, she didn't appear too upset either. I understand Glenn and Maggie being angry/upset because they split from Rick's group because of Eugene.
I didn't know that Sonequa was pregnant in real life. As for Sasha, that was pretty stupid letting that guy get behind her. I kept seeing him slowly back away and I wanted to scream at her to not turn her back on him.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Eric !!!

ReplyDeleteSo glad to have Rick back. Since he was reborn by tasting Joe every episode with Rick is better than just awesome.
ReplyDeleteCarol became very important for Rick. There seems to be a possibility that this relationship turns romantic.
Could Gabriel meet Morgan?
To be honest, I think Gabriel is going to met his own demise out there.

I was bored, and Sasha was stupid for trusting cop Bob.
ReplyDeleteDaryl's zombie kill did have me really grossed out...yuck.
I'd leave Tyreese and Sasha behind for Michonne. Michonne, Rick, and Daryl could have gotten the job done.
ReplyDeleteGreat episode!

I don't see Rick/Carol ever becoming romantic. That new character is going to be his new love interest. Her or Michonne.
ReplyDeleteI think it's mostly Bethyl shippers who think Rick/Carol are going to happen.
Have to admit this episode bored me a bit. I just want them reunited and to be done with the hospital storyline already.
ReplyDeleteOkay HOW MANY TIMES is the group going to second guess Rick and NOT have everything go straight to hell?
ReplyDeleteRicktatorship does not take suggestions

What grossed me out were the napalmed corpses on the street, not the kill itself.
ReplyDeleteThose people were clearly alive when the soldiers threw the bombs.

ReplyDeleteAnother good episode. Can't wait for the mid season finale next week.
ReplyDeleteSame here. I hope Michonne gets a lot to do in 5B, to make up for her absence in 5A. They're wasting a great character and actress.
ReplyDeleteRick be our leader again but we are going to 2nd guess your plans and not take your advice and just eliminate the threat that doesn't see us coming.

ReplyDeleteI am beyond pissed that Michonne has been completely sidelined this season. WTF, writers?

Hope not. They don't know what to do with Judith and Carl has hardly had any role because he gets stuck watching her.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't my favorite episode of the season but it was damn good.

ReplyDeleteBethyl shippers don't care about Carol's romantic life. It's Caryl shippers who ship Beth with anyone they can.

ReplyDelete"We don't kill the living" - Rick to Daryl season 1.
ReplyDeleteIt's really crazy how much Rick and Daryl have changed.
I thought the walker in the woods was gonna BE morgan when Gabriel was out there!!

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but except the premiere this season is one big AND BORING disappointment.
ReplyDeleteWell, this was a little better than the others, but still poor. Honestly, only the first 3 episodes of this season paid off.
