I really enjoyed Beth's story line it was kind of refreshing. Maybe this should be the spin off? instead of some random new characters. Can't wait to see the follow up
awesome episode with an awesome performance by Emily Kinney. Beth squishing the Walker-head was so badass. I hope Beth will save Carol. We'll have to wait two weeks :(
I don't care for one character focused episodes that much, so I was mad that we went a whole episode with Beth and she didn't even escape! Then Carol rolled in. Thank God! She'll get them out of there. You don't screw with this Carol! I really hope zombies get Dawn.
It had some good parts but I'm really disappointed. This season has been amazing so far but this episode was mostly a dud compared to the first 3 episodes. Can't wait for next week though!
Who the hell did Daryl bring back to the group then if its not Carol!? And seriously next weeks promo is Abe and his crew. Gawd no I want to go back to the regular group. Why did they have to break up.
Nice to see bad ass Beth coming out though even if she didn't escape. Go Beth go stab those bastards and don't give up.
Sooo glad that rapist wannabe guard died. He was just gross. He deserved what he got.
For now I will only refer to that nut bag of a woman running this hospital prison camp as her lady dictatorship. This bitch needs to be stabbed or eaten by zombies. She is the worst. She is puppet master and they are all her little puppets she forces into her bidding.
Um, eventually she'll open her eyes, duh! Beth already tried to escape and failed. The rest of the people there are going to be keeping a close eye on her.
So basically without knowing her full extent of injuries you're assuming she'll die or be paralyzed? You know people can be in an coma and wake up okay? Or do you know by spoilers or something that the writers plan on killing Carol? What would be the purpose of doing that right now? I see that as a season end thing - or she dies helping Beth escape. Like I said, I really don't believe Beth can get out alone.
It was better than I EVER could have anticipated!!! Seriously brilliant and cinematic and wonderful! Emily did amazing, and the writing oh god. I can't wait to see more of this storyline, and Noah!
Color me surprised b/c I really, really enjoyed that episode!! I hated the episode where Beth and Daryl were looking for beer so I thought I was going to hate this one too, but I didn't.
I hope we see a stronger, more capable and confident Beth after this incident. At the end, I thought she was going to kill that doctor, and I was hoping she would. I hope we see Beth and Carol escaping from that hell hole in two weeks. Those cops, esp. Dawn, need to die! They are perverts and sociopaths!
What made this episode more tolerable for me than the last Beth-focused episode where she was looking for beer was the crazy situation. She ran into a bunch of freaks and sociopaths, and there was no one there to rescue her. She has to rescue herself, and I want to see that. I want to see her be a stronger, more confident character so I hope that happens as a result of this experience.
decent but odd ep in that it often felt like there were gaps in the story that felt left out but were easy enough to make assumptions to connect the dots.. liked seeing little Chris Rock and wondering what's going to happen as we'll see him again I assume and am not sure that Beth will be too happy that he left her there... overall I liked seeing Beth "find herself" somewhat and she will need all that as she will most likely have to help Carol out, but after seeing Carol go terminator at Terminus, she might not need any help....
Quite the change of pace for TWD, but still a solid episode. Last year, Carol and Beth got the best/most development, between Carol becoming a bonafide bad ass and a survivor, and Beth finally getting some character development. And Beth is coming into her, becoming kind of a bad ass herself. I wouldn't mind at all (minus the stuff with Rick) if she became the comic's version of Andrea.
Ok, Beth.............the "Newt" of this series goes through "the $#!T" and comes out the "@$$ End" Sigourney Weaver is how I'd sum this episode up. I'm not a Beth fan.......never have been........and I doubt I ever will be. On the plus side Dawn is a good villain, the doctor is one sorry SOB, and Noah is a pretty interesting character so far. Based on the last scene we now know Carol didn't return with Daryl. 4 THE DEAD TO STAY WALKING, I am still Nobody!!! P.S. - to all the "ALIENS" fandom I do apologies..............Newt would kick Beth's @$$ (lol)!!!
The episode was pretty good at best. Definitely the weakest episode so far. An episode that deals with Beth's disappearance is interesting, but it shouldn't take the whole episode. That's stretching it a little bit.
As much as I like Beth, this is too much of 1 character in 1 episode. That all said... cant wait to see Beth & Carol team up to take down this hospitals bad guys. The thing that guy that Beth helped escape said about they keep the weak will come back to bite them in the ass, because Carol is not what she looks like on the outside. They saw her as a "weak" target.
I really thought it was going to be the most boring episode of the season but to me it was truly THE best. After the last scene with Carol, I said "oh, there're 20 minutes left so we'll get to see her wake up" but no... the episode was over! It flew so fast! Awesome awesome awesome. I realized when I saw Beth that I'd missed her really much.
I enjoyed this episode. It wasn't my favorite, but I like Beth, so it didn't bother me that she was the sole focus. I liked her friendship with Noah and was glad when she seemingly appeared happy that he got out, despite getting caught herself. At first it seemed like she was upset that he kept going, but that might have been more that she was worried that the Walkers were going to get Noah before he made it to the fence or get shot by the guards before making it through the fence. While there were a few scenes that were disturbing, what bothered me the most was Dawn telling Beth that the women getting raped was OK because it was for the greater good. Now that may not have been what Dawn meant, but that's how I interpreted what she said.
I was watching the Talking Dead and saw the sneak peek of next weeks episode and it showed Abraham beating a man with a can and then the camera pans over to the guy's face and to me it looks like the same doctor they brought into the hospital before beth killed him after being tricked into giving him pain killers.
Very solid episode that brought in the much needed reappearance of Beth! Nice to see Beth keep her wits about her and see the reality of the situation despite all the facades and lies around. I thought that painting was foreshadowing...
Any place the locks you in and keeps running tabs on what you owe is not a good place.
I haven't watched any of the previews so maybe it's been shown, but I assume Daryl is telling Noah to come out of the bushes in the last episode now... I wonder if Noah is Morgan's nephew?
Bringing in Carol at the end was a nice surprise! She should add something to the hospital/prison! XD
I expected the gang to follow Daryl back to the hospital to save Beth and Carol, but maybe Abraham's group goes there, or Abraham himself is taken there. *shrug*
Personally I loved the hour long look inside another location in the post ZA world! I always like the one off episodes since they let the featured character really develop.
I've seen the suggestion that Noah is Morgan's nephew elsewhere, and I'm wondering where that's coming from? Is there something that I'm missing there?
I think it was the way he was talking about his family and mentioned he was looking for his uncle. I forget exactly what he said though... At the time it felt to me like that quote would come into play at some point down the road..
Plus, If he is Morgan's nephew It could lead to exploring their dynamic or more Morgan in general I guess...
TJ didn't "spoil" anything really, it could be flashbacks... I hope it's not. Carol is badass lately and I can't wait to see Beth grow with her guidance.
I'd like to believe that TJ isn't spoiling anything, but I can't. They have been posting things about upcoming episodes that they clearly only know based on spoilers.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
WoW !!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so confused. What was that episode. And half of it was boring and most of it made no sense.
ReplyDelete"He fell from a building, Dawn" was said so scornfully that it was hilarious, tbh. And A+ at Beth killing creepy cop via zombie.
I really enjoyed Beth's story line it was kind of refreshing. Maybe this should be the spin off? instead of some random new characters. Can't wait to see the follow up

Carol isn't even able to open her eyes. Her only hope is Beth.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's Noah? IDK
ReplyDeleteThat was my guess to but we shall see. Most likely not next week though but the week after. I am secretly hoping Morgan but I don't think it is.
ReplyDeleteUm, eventually she'll open her eyes, duh! Beth already tried to escape and failed. The rest of the people there are going to be keeping a close eye on her.
ReplyDeleteBeth already helped Noah to escape. If Carol doesn't leave this hospital dead she'll leave it in a wheelchair.
ReplyDeleteWe'll find out who it is in two weeks after an episode with Daryl and Carol which will end at the same point like 5x03 and 5x04.
ReplyDeleteSo basically without knowing her full extent of injuries you're assuming she'll die or be paralyzed? You know people can be in an coma and wake up okay? Or do you know by spoilers or something that the writers plan on killing Carol? What would be the purpose of doing that right now? I see that as a season end thing - or she dies helping Beth escape. ReplyDeleteIt was better than I EVER could have anticipated!!! Seriously brilliant and cinematic and wonderful! Emily did amazing, and the writing oh god. I can't wait to see more of this storyline, and Noah!
ReplyDeleteBut she can keep herself and Carol alive and be prepared when the rest of the gang is arriving.
ReplyDeleteYeah...but my post wasn't about that. It was about escaping not managing to survive until help comes.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely Noah. No doubt about it.
ReplyDeleteIt was like a small horror movie so I voted great. Hope we see more of Noah and hope Dawn becomes zombie food.
ReplyDeleteOK this episode was boring and confusing only thing I can think of the new character Noah who escape might be the Priest son
ReplyDeleteColor me surprised b/c I really, really enjoyed that episode!! I hated the episode where Beth and Daryl were looking for beer so I thought I was going to hate this one too, but I didn't.

Great analysis of that nut job female cop! I think you hit it on the head w/Dawn! I want to see Beth kill her or slap her a few times!
ReplyDeleteWhat made this episode more tolerable for me than the last Beth-focused episode where she was looking for beer was the crazy situation. She ran into a bunch of freaks and sociopaths, and there was no one there to rescue her. She has to rescue herself, and I want to see that. I want to see her be a stronger, more confident character so I hope that happens as a result of this experience.
ReplyDeleteI thought the episode was fine, but not great. Most of this episode was boring, Beth alone cannot carry a whole episode, but that's just my opinion.
ReplyDeleteAmazing episode. I loved it. Some parts were creepy and hard to watch. I can't wait to see Beth killing Dawn.
ReplyDeleteAlso I felt this episode was a big middle finger to all the Beth haters who think she is weak and she should be killed off because of a silly ship.
decent but odd ep in that it often felt like there were gaps in the story that felt left out but were easy enough to make assumptions to connect the dots.. liked seeing little Chris Rock and wondering what's going to happen as we'll see him again I assume and am not sure that Beth will be too happy that he left her there... overall I liked seeing Beth "find herself" somewhat and she will need all that as she will most likely have to help Carol out, but after seeing Carol go terminator at Terminus, she might not need any help....

ReplyDeletehttp://www.spoilertv.com/2014/09/the-walking-dead-spin-off-casting-call.html
ReplyDeleteI totally think Beth is a trojan horse in the hospital/prison. Maybe Noah ran into Carol and Daryl, so they're staging a breakout for Beth.
ReplyDeleteOk, Beth.............the "Newt" of this series goes through "the $#!T" and comes out the "@$$ End" Sigourney Weaver is how I'd sum this episode up. The episode was pretty good at best. Definitely the weakest episode so far. An episode that deals with Beth's disappearance is interesting, but it shouldn't take the whole episode. That's stretching it a little bit.
ReplyDeleteDo you really think the many wounded people who join this hospital had really "accidents"?
ReplyDeleteAs much as I like Beth, this is too much of 1 character in 1 episode.
ReplyDeleteThat all said... cant wait to see Beth & Carol team up to take down this hospitals bad guys.
The thing that guy that Beth helped escape said about they keep the weak will come back to bite them in the ass, because Carol is not what she looks like on the outside. They saw her as a "weak" target.
This Newt character from this cr** movie would make the same experience like Joe in 4x16.
ReplyDeleteI loved the reveal at the end of the episode. I can't wait to see Carol dominate the characters at that hospital.
ReplyDeleteCarol is going to dominate that hospital! I can't wait for next week!
ReplyDeleteEveryone will be back together in time for the midseason finale which coming up in a few weeks.
ReplyDeleteThis episode reminded me of something from season 3 or 4. Not bad but definitely a different pave from the beginning of this season.
ReplyDeleteShe's heavily injured. So this is not going to happen.
ReplyDeleteWe don't know how injured she is. By the time the next episode comes around she could be fine just like Beth was.
ReplyDeleteI don't think she'll be able to do that in a wheelchair.
ReplyDeleteCarol wasn't just kidnapped...
ReplyDeleteAgain we don't know that. She could have been kidnapped just like Beth. We'll see next week though!
ReplyDeleteI really thought it was going to be the most boring episode of the season but to me it was truly THE best. After the last scene with Carol, I said "oh, there're 20 minutes left so we'll get to see her wake up" but no... the episode was over! It flew so fast! Awesome awesome awesome.
ReplyDeleteI realized when I saw Beth that I'd missed her really much.
I don't agree that Carol will be in a wheelchair, but it would be HILARIOUS if she was and she still dominated Dawn and company.
ReplyDeleteWe'll see in two weeks what happened - and in three weeks what will happen.
ReplyDeleteI can spoil she won't leave dead. The actress has been spotted filming with the entire group long after the hospital storyline is over. :)
ReplyDeleteOnly one comment:They think that Carol is weak . hahahahaha
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this episode. It wasn't my favorite, but I like Beth, so it didn't bother me that she was the sole focus. ReplyDeleteI always like the one off episodes since they let the featured character really develop.
Kindly talk about that somewhere else.
ReplyDeleteYou could just keep information about upcoming episodes to yourself and the people who want to know, you know?
ReplyDeleteWhat was confusing about the episode?
ReplyDeleteWhat didn't make sense about it?
ReplyDeleteI don't think she'll have any hard feelings toward him, what was he supposed to do?
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure this person is so certain because they know spoiler information, which is annoying.
ReplyDeleteI've seen the suggestion that Noah is Morgan's nephew elsewhere, and I'm wondering where that's coming from? Is there something that I'm missing there?

What if Bob was his uncle? That would be a downer.
