I loved the fight scene between Abraham and Ichabod, too. It was intense. Some excellent Crane/Abbie moments, too-both sweet (all Ichabod's comments to her at the end, and Abbie getting him to focus as she did) and funny (the whole thing with the torches versus flares, and her selfie comment :D). And Irving just going off on his own path-makes sense, and yet, I'm worried about him and wanting to tell Jenny to go back and find him. Quite a crazy ending. Next week's going to be just nuts-I'm excited and nervous all at the same time.
EPIC!!! OMG I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!! That was a helluva ride!!! Medusa!!! Did NOT expect that!! When Ichabod said he feared the statue was a real person, I literally shouted MEDUSA!! And it was Sooo cool!!! I loved the plan they had to get Abraham to fight the "Gorgon" genius! And the Ichabod vs Abraham scene was incredibly good!! I was yelling, Kick his ass Ichabod!! Take him down!! And then Ichabbie retrieving the sword!! Beautiful scene!! "Yes, Leftentant it is through your eyes i see myself clearly." (Abbie closes her eyes gesturing you're welcome) "Now let's find that damn sword." Hahaha Swoon!
And the ending!!! OMG!!! AHHHH! I want to see what happens next soooSooo badly!! Gah! Medusa!! That was so cool!!! Didn't care for that damn fox report though! I was pissed!! Missed that whole conversation between Ichabod and Abbie. But I quickly got back into the "Sleepy Head" zone!
As well you should be!! I personally hate spoiling fans that haven't seen the episode yet. (So for future reference, don't tell me that you haven't seen it. It hurts me haha) So I try not to comment too much. But this was too good to restrain myself. You'll enjoy it. How long of a wait do you have to go?
I watched it, but I'm only rating it a "Great", because I missed the middle 30 minutes because of the stupid FOX News Report and the resulting 25 minute analysis of the 2-minute announcement...so maybe after I REWATCH THE WHOLE THING, I'll come back and rerate it :P
Aw, that sucks*. We were lucky-we got a brief announcement about the ruling, and then they went right back to the show. I just missed a couple minutes or so of Abbie and Crane's conversation as they sat in the yard waiting for the Horseman to arrive. *(I have no issue with the Ferguson ruling being news, but yeah, the resulting analysis is often pointless and better served in a proper news broadcast, where there can be more time to explore that topic in depth. But that is a whole other topic unto itself, and since this is not a political site, I'll end it there :p.)
Yeah, unless Henry has some massive change of heart next episode, I think it's pretty well clear which side he's choosing for now, so it'll be interesting to see how Katrina and Ichabod handle that. I had no problem with them addressing that issue in past episodes, 'cause, well, he IS their son, so it's only natural a conversation and debate like that would have to take place at some point. But Henry made his intentions very clear to Katrina here, and since there's that photo of her walking alongside Ichabod, Abbie, Jenny, and Irving that's been shared online, I take it that means she's made her choice, too, on how to deal with this. I hope that's the case-it'd be great to have the five of them working together from here on out and handling whatever craziness comes their way next.
Wasn't too fond of Abraham becoming a speaking character outside of the flashbacks this season, but I think it finally worked this time. He may be the Headless Horseman and one of the Four Horseman Of The Apocalypse, but he still can't get over his human rivalry with Ichabod. He could become a liability to Moloch.
Ichabod: George Washington was the liar in chief! :)
That pissed me off too!! I was screaming WTFFFF?! IDC PUT MY SHOW BACK ON!! Missed like two minutes! And when it came back on Ichabod and Abbie were laughing. I'm like wth??? Ugh. I was so into that. I mean I was in the zone! Smh. I'll have to re-watch that scene. Next thing I heard Ichabod say was, "Your mom would be very proud of you."
Ahaha, the Heads Up Game was cute, too, yes :D. I like when Ichabod guessed Pinocchio. Glad to be in agreement on everything! I can't even begin to imagine what all will go down next week.
I really liked seeing the balance tonight between their days as friends and the anger Abraham vented at Ichabod during their fight. It was such a sharp contrast, and his rants were tinged with the slightest bit of sympathy for the man he used to be, the life he felt he lost, yet he still managed to come off very intimidating and crazed-I like how Ichabod wasn't willing to play his "blame everyone but myself" game. I don't see him dying next week, 'cause, well, he's the Horseman, and the guy's kind of important to the Sleepy Hollow story. But even still, I can't wait to see Ichabod take him down in some way, shape, or form. (Though, if he DOES die, I'd be interested to see how they deal with that.)
stupid news crap got in the middle of the episode and Scorpion too and i missed most of the episode but this was amazing that fight was FREAKING BADASS!!!!
This series is the best, this episode was AWESOME, and Abbie and Ichabod are the best couple/duo (friends/witnesses) on TV (No Spoilers...........much)! 4 THE SLEEPY HEAD NATION, I will be Nobody!!! Quote of the Episode - Abbie Quote - "I know you ain't trying to take a selfie with a Gorgan?"
This happened to me as well - I had DVRed it and I FFed thought the news but chunks of it were missing. I found the episode online and did watch it and now it makes more sense to me.
The insane thing to me is that Fox has the news on at 10:00. They could have waited half an hour and covered it in the regular news.
NBC in comparison scrolled something across the screen, then took a quick break and aired all of The Voice (it ran maybe a couple minutes past 10 but I think they just cut out some commercials) - they didn't skip any of the performances.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. That, and given how so many people find news online nowadays, I wonder sometimes how much more common these show interruptions for news will be? There are still people who don't have internet/cable, though, so... NBC sounds like they handled it well, so good on them. Like I said, my Fox affiliate's announcement was very brief, I think it lasted a minute or so at best. But it sounds like some others had a bit longer wait. Maybe it depended on where one lived (I could see Fox affiliates in Missouri spending a significant amount of time on the interruption, for instance)?
NOW i get it now that i saw the parts i missed because of the IDIOTIC NEWS CRAP!!!and yeah an AWESOME EPISODE!!!!!!!, THAT IS THE MOST AWESOME SWORD EVER, this going to lead to the most badass mid-season finale damn it Frank
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Whoa at the end. I'm glad Abbie and Ichabod are working together again and hopefully they can end Moloch.
ReplyDeleteGreat episode that sword looks awesome I hope now Katrina and Ichabod can see their son Henry seem he can't be save and to me Abraham is a doormat

The show has managed to make Abraham a tragic figure, while maintaining his villainy. Not bad.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Don't worry I love spoilers, so you're safe. I've just watched it though. It was epic!
