NOOOOOOOOO!!! They can't end an episode on such a cliffhanger. Waiting a whole week is going to be torture.
Anyways, another amazing episode. Great story, seaming in perfectly with the show's secondary mythology of Dominic, Brotherhood and Elias.
A lot of great moments in tonight's episode:
First off Martine - loved all her scenes. And the best thing about each of her appearance on screen is the background score/theme for her. It's foreboding and awesome. The scene where she is trying to elicit info from Katya was great. First, she tried it the easy way and when Katya didn't play ball, out came the leverage. Cara Buono did some good work here. Loved the change of her voice from gung-ho lawyer to something more menacing and all this accompanied by Martine's theme made it even more awesome.Loved her bar scene with Romeo and the final scene when she zeroes in on Shaw gave me goosebumps.
Loved all the interactions between Reese and his therapist. Methinks, she is developing a crush on him. Liked the scene where Reese took her along while he followed the cop.
Number of the week turning out to be an undercover cop was a nice twist. She had some nice scenes with Reese. This show introduces many characters that I want/hope to see again. I will add lady cop to that list of characters that I hope turn up again in the future.
Finally, Dominic: he is making his move to grab power from Elias. Shaw finally catching on that Mini was Dominic was an awesome scene. Dominic made some smart and ruthless moves tonight. He is turning out to be quite an intriguing character.
Cant even imagine how next week is going to play out.
Bear is scuba trained ! Some great moments. Favorite was Shaw/Harold figuring out that Mini is Dominic. And what an ending -- Elias is the number again and John might as well be now that Dominic wants him dead too. Expecting a dynamite scene in the department store between Shaw and Martine next week. The next episode is going to be huge. What a fantastic ride this show gives us.
I thought the case was good and the main arc scenes great. Martine is one scary and effective operative, isn't she? Plus, now they'll know Samaritan doesn't see the full picture and a showdown is coming. I was happy with the episode! A lot of great scenes
(Though I was a little confused when Finch had to figure out the MINI <-> DOMINIC relation. I kinda thought they already knew that but maybe it was just "us", the viewers)
Excellent episode two major cliffhangers in a row, POI is on fire right now. I love how the multiple arcs works so well, I think the Samaritan arc was the most strong, but the Brothehood storoyline is build something interesting too.
Kind of neat writing/minor characters in this one!
Silva looks like a little Shaw, but has Carter's goodness and then there's the young woman with Dominic who looks like Carter, but she behaves like Shaw prior to the series. Silva's story is also reminiscent to young Nadia Santos' story on Alias. Martine is such a bad a**!!!! -What a way to end the episode on that cliffhanger with Shaw being made and the motivations behind Dominic! Also loved that Bear had a more active role and Reese blowing a hole in the swimming pool was also pretty fun XD
Can't wait to see what happens in the next episode---things look like they're coming to a head with both Shaw and Elias...
* Bear: grenade necklace & scuba trained * Fusco : You wear makeup ? * Finch & Shah : Do'mini'c * Reese: 'Let's walk n talk' * Shah giving advice and samples at the makeup counter! * Shah recognizing Martine
Another great episode & a cliffhanger to boot! PoI rarely does cliffhangers outside the seasonal finales and it's a refreshing change. Are Martine & Shaw going to shoot up the shop or take it outside for a private moment? (Btw felt goosebumps when Shaw took just one look at Martine and immediately recognized her for the killer assassin she is..or is it like looking in a mirror?). - Immensely enjoyed the vibe between Reese & the therapist/Silvia (undercover cop/PoI of the week). Hopefully we see more of these two and the new captain. All in all a whole bunch of new wonderful strong female characters which is truly refreshing after the succession of damsels in distress situations across the TV landscape. - Bear is Scuba certified. Enough said!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteAnother fantastic episode. This series is building beautifully toward the winter finale.
ReplyDeleteNo Root this week - she's in the promo for next week's episode so I'm betting she turns up at the makeup shop (is it called a salon?) just in time.
It'll be great to see Elias, Marconi and Reese do battle next week - really looking forward to that!
Silva was hot, and I wish to see more of her.
ReplyDelete(IMDB has her listed for episode 13, but I doubt that is accurate.)
Pretty sure Shaw would have been fired from that job by now...just sayin.' :)
Looks like I'll get my wish after all(SPOILER)

Pretty good. Can't wait for next week.
ReplyDeleteMartine Rousseau can kill me anytime she wants.
ReplyDeleteCara Buono kicked ass tonight!
So i guess Shaw will be dead by the end of this season.

This is nice, she will be another ally to the team.
ReplyDeleteYep, I agree about that revelation was to obvious.

Is one of them what you are looking for? It was a fast scene, so it was difficult to find a "not-blurry and fitting moment.
ReplyDeleteIf not, here's the whole scene officially uploaded on YouTube :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcMy8jR9AOE
Oh YES! That is Fantastic! Exactly what I wanted. Thank you SO much!!!!! XD
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome :)
ReplyDeleteI wondered about that. She seemed like a good fit.
ReplyDeleteAmazing - POI never disappoints !
ReplyDelete* Bear: grenade necklace & scuba trained

** next week : Elias-centric Episode !!!
"Martine *ROUSSEAU w that shot gun"
ReplyDeleteThis scene was so awesome that I found myself cheering for Martine, even though she is the enemy. :)
She's my favorite villain on this show, but I just can't get over the Bad Robot juxtaposition:

Was Finch Dominic's Math teacher (back in 2.11)?
ReplyDeleteThey didn't know. The scene where Mini is first shown acting like a leader happened only after Shaw let him go.
ReplyDeleteDominic seems too old for that theory to be true, but who knows...
ReplyDeleteThanks for clearing that up! It makes more sense that way :)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome :-)
