These past episodes have really been indirectly heavy on Ziva and Kate. Last episode talked about Tony's sense of loneliness and tonight's episode continued on that with the fish and the cat. Also, I really never thought the writers would express Gibbs as "guilty" for Ziva's departure and Kate's death. It would seem that he doesn't want anything to happen to Bishop.
Character development! Yes! I was so happy when Gibbs said " this floor. It's for walking and standing." I've always like Bishop but this was a problem I had with her. Go Gibbs!
It was also nice to see that the writers acknowledged what we as viewers often have believed: That Gibbs was being "soft" on Bishop. Guess that will change after tonight :)
I don't know that I'd use the term "guilty" in this case. I took it more as his being afraid. Afraid that, after growing emotionally close to somebody, he would lose them again. He lost Kate, and he lost Ziva. He's not ready to lose anybody else.
Can i just say emily wickersham was fantastic in this episode, especially the scene where she challenged gibbs. I know she has had her critics since joining and this episode should go a long way to silencing them
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
