Tell Wu already! The man is going to open up some serious problems for all the detectives and captain if they don't just tell him and bring him into the group.
Aw Truble is cute with that kid. I like seeing her just get to have fun for a moment even while working and not be so focused on the danger she is constantly in.
Felt really bad for Nick that he had to yell at the poor kid like that even when he clearly didn't want to and hated it.
Looks like the grimness could be restored soon hopefully which is good. Although seeing as they are both still connected I couldn't help but wonder as Adalind was drowning in that water if she dies does he die too? If she is seriously injured does it affect him to or does the connection just cut and the other one goes on with life. I'll be curious to see how they resolve this story line and how deep the connection is.
Also less Juliette was awesome! I'm not even going to lie and pretend I missed her. I didn't really. Sorry Bitsie but its peaceful when your not around as much and we get to see more of Nick, Hank, Truble, Rosalee and Monroe. Oh and Renard awesome, sneaky mom too.
I'm glad they found the way to get Nick's powers back but I don't like that Juliette has a part in it. She may not want to help since she's happy Nick isn't a grimm anymore and then this storyline may be stretched out for many episodes. I just hope Nick is a grimm again before the mid-season finale.
Dare I please hope that Nick is back to being a Grimm again within the next week or two ? I can only hope... after all the show is called Grimm and I think he is going to be needed to protect Munroe and Rosalee. That is probably what gets Juliette to reverse and get back on the Grimm bandwagon. Bud and his loose lips -- I love Bud but as soon as they told him that Nick had lost his Grimmness I knew uh-oh was ahead. Can Mama Renard become a regular ? And I hope Trubel is around for good.
Gosh, I hope they do not draw it out that long. I am so ready for it to be over-- even as much as I was during the Renard/Juliette obsession storyline. I love this show so much- one of my favorites- but sometimes things go on too long.
Great episode hope Nick get his powers back next week they need to let Wu in on the secret I think he can handle it please keep Trubel I like that Nick and Juliette treat her like family oh let also keep Renard mom too
i want truble to stay on the show forever i love her little family with nick and juliette, and i also loved her scenes with the little boy she seemed so unburdened when she was with him and can they please just keep juliette out of danger this poor woman
great ep.... liked the cotw that was Wesen affiliated but not quite Wesen... liked to see Trubel involved and how she interacted with the kid and inspired him to stand up for himself and for those that he cares for... interesting development with Wu going to see the capt as it will force things faster and either they will have to finally explain everything to Wu or they will have to find some way to make him forget, but it's probably better if he's finally brought in even though I kinda like still having at least one normal unknowing prominent character, but not sure that can be done at this point. really liking Elizabeth on the show and how uncomfortable she makes everyone - not too jazzed that it's left to Juliette to provide the key ingredient to give Nick's Grimmness back, when she's been pretty obvious that she doesn't want that, but like others have mentioned that it will probably come down to Nick having to reclaim his heritage to protect everyone for some reason either from the group that kidnapped Trubel, or perhaps the Royals.... we all know that Nick will get it back, it's just a matter of when... I'd just rather have the decision be one of Nick's and not Juliette's, but this is a means to add a little conflict, and to determine the commitment of Nick to the cause and Juliette as well
Even though I missed having the usual Wesen be in this episode, it was nice having a Golem be the big bad. I hope we see different kinds of monsters in the future including the Wesen. It's a nice change.
The best scenes were definitely with Trubel and the little kid. Having Trubel just relax to take a break from the mission and play around with the little kid was really nice. She was like a big sister to him and I loved that. So cute.
Elizabeth continues to be such a great addition to the Grimm gang. Can she just stay on the show and become a series regular? I would absolutely love that. Monroe being all surprised at what she can do is pretty fun/hilarious to watch.
I was absolutely convinced that the real Adalind was going to escape Victor's castle and come to Portland to cause more havoc in this episode. Boy, was I wrong. Wonder how Juliette will help with Nick getting his powers back. It should be very interesting to watch.
I'm getting so tired of the gang not telling Wu about the Wesen world. I was fine with it for a couple of episodes but now I'm sick of it. Either tell him or watch him get even more crazier. The poor guy deserves to know, people!
Renard coming out of the hospital and showing up at the precinct was nice. I would love to see him helping with Nick getting his powers back.
I hate how they put in plot points and then drop them. The connection with Adalind pops up and now nothing? If he'd had the headache without Adalind connected I'd say 'okay, the doctor-ophthalmologist bit answered it okay enough' but they swapped perspectives and two episodes go by and not a word about why or what is happening. That's something the writers need to work on. :( And it kind of sucks right now cause it feels like Trubel has replaced Nick and ugh...
Good point that I hadn't thought of--keeping Wu in the dark could come back to bite them if he decides to take matters into his own hands, thus causing all kinds of trouble.
Voted awesome and this episode is a favorite of the season for me. Loved the rabbi confessing and Hank explaining that you can't convict someone for praying that someone would die. Jacqueline was amazing. I loved how the kid came to Theresa's rescue. Loved how she beat up the mud monster. Adalind was so excited to see "food" that she ate something that obviously had a hallucinogenic in it. Why isn't Nick having a headache and seeing this scene??
Still no explanation for Elizabeth looking like Renard's sister instead of mother. His mother should be about 70. Are they afraid to cast a 70-year old actress in the role?
Loved Monroe's reaction to seeing "Adalind."
Nick was pretty awesome a cop even without his powers, but I look forward to him getting them back.
I have been wondering about the gypsy/Adalind deal concerning the baby. Adalind( before the child was born and she bonded with it) could have cared less about the baby and only wanted her powers back so she struck the bargain with the gypsy to give the baby to her in exchange for the gypsy restoring her powers as a hexenbeist. So shouldn't the gypsy be coming for the baby payment ? Maybe this will be a story arc the second half of the season ?
Probably the line of thinking is that being a hexenbeist Elizabeth can pretty much look however she wants but I think it was a great unexpected idea to have her be this unexpected intriguing , enticing, gorgeous mysterious mother. I love 70 year olds and that would have been fine too. But I am wondering if they will have Elizabeth have scenes with the king of the royals( Renard's father) later on and having her look like this suits what happens then. At least I hope she is around much longer for this to happen.
I think they'll be taking a break over Christmas, but not long. I think last year they were off for three weeks. (And then took a five-week break after the mid-season cliffhanger.)
I agree. I still enjoy the show but that is my one big peeve. They did with with zombie Nick back from the dead too. I would have loved to have seen that explored more but nope they never mentioned it after two episodes. Really writers? Can't keep track of such major plots like that when you write them. Not even drop a reference back to it once in a blue moon. Do these people have the memories of goldfish or what?
They even seemed to have cut a scene out of the previous episode that made reference to their connection. It looked to be Nick, Hank and Monroe going to a crime scene together in pursuit of someone when Nick gets another connection hit. So unless they showed the scene in the wrong promo (I think it was about two weeks ago now) by mistake I think they just cut it out entirely.
When Renard introduced his mother to Nick and Hank and noticed their stunned expressions he mentioned she had "some work done". I think it's some sort of spell. I'm pretty sure there are a ton of spells to make oneself look a lot younger. At least in Grimm world. :)
By the way I always thought Adalind looked pretty ugly as a Hexenbiest, but Elizabeth beats her by a mile here.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteNot with this shows track record, but I'm waiting to binge watch the show once he gets his powers back though.
ReplyDeleteI know- it is so much more fun when Nick has his powers.
ReplyDeleteAgree on all points.

ReplyDeleteYes, they do put in plot points and then drop them. I love the show, but that is one major flaw.
ReplyDeleteGood point that I hadn't thought of--keeping Wu in the dark could come back to bite them if he decides to take matters into his own hands, thus causing all kinds of trouble.

ReplyDeleteI am really tempted to start a poll asking thought Bud was going to be able to keep his mouth shut about Nick? LOL
ReplyDeleteWith Wu focusing on Trubel being a murderer I'm now wondering where his story is headed.
Nice MOW story. Happily it looks like the non-Grimm Grimm story is almost wrapped up.
They're not doing a holiday hiatus are they? We had to wait so long for them to start their season it wouldn't be fair.
I think they'll be taking a break over Christmas, but not long. I think last year they were off for three weeks. (And then took a five-week break after the mid-season cliffhanger.)

12/12/14 is the mid season finale and 1/9/15 is the return.
