  1. I loved it a lot. I think Harrison Wells has a dark side to himself.

Barry came close to revealing his true identity to Iris but he keeps hiding it to protect her.

This episode went by too fast and it gave a positive message especially about friendship. It's so good that Cisco and Caitlin were there to comfort him when his friend died.

  2. GOD THE EFFECTS ARE AWESOME!!! That was the best part for me. I geeked out through that whole scene.

Really enjoyed this whole episode. I always love Barry and Joe's scene. I gotta kick out of Joe enjoying Barry's voice modulation. Omg! If they did that, I'm wondering if they'll put in Barry's "speed talk" I would LOVE that!!! I want that to happen so badly. And their talk about Iris was very sweet.

Really enjoyed the interview scene between "Biris" that was great. And I'm glad Barry vibrated his molecules when Iris was in front of him. Niceeee moveee. And their last scene hurt me. But I'm glad she cried. (Meant that in a positive way).

Team Flash, always enjoy them. Cisco is hilarious. I want to keep him forever. So many great lines, "Omg do I sound like Felicity?" "I can't get drunk." "I'll get more shots." "I'm sorry that was inappropriate...please don't leave." "Are you buzzed?" Cough* Cough* Yeah i'm buzzed. This is GOOD STUFF!.....Anddd it's gone." "It's a work in progress." Hahahahahah so many others.

Harrison...wtf?? Hahahaha idk what to think of this dude. Plastique was ok. Eileen was great! Can't wait for his return. And lastly....GORILLA GRODD!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

So glad the show is back. It was a great return episode.

  3. I keep saying this: the episodes are getting better and better and so are the special effects.
Barry learning he can do more (finally): run on water and walk on walls. In no time he will be able to vibrate through walls and timetravel.
The friendships on this show is amazing. I'm kinda upset Barry and Iris are taking a break.
Harrison is manipulating everything! Well this what happen when a guy from the future shows up in the present day.
I do hope Bette is still alive. I know she is suppose to be a super villain and have a connection to Ronny aka Firestorm. I liked her. I hope she comes back.
Gorilla Grood again :). I can't wait until he make his grand appearance

  4. 'Awesome' but the actress for Plastique was totally flat with every line. If she does come back I hope they recast her.

  5. is it me or has theCW made quite a lot of questionable casting decisions as of late?
On the one hand they cast almost too big names (Victor Garber, Peter Stormare, Jodi Lyn O'Keefe, Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Robert Knepper......wow...someone at theCW saw too many Prison Break episodes....and Craig Parker) but in contrast to that cast completely incapable actors in other integral parts (that guy playing Klaus bio-dad, the previous villains of the week on the Flash)

There are actually no actors that force me to say "ay, he's okay. Not good but okay". Either they're really good or just bad

  6. It's more that they're just not using them as well as they could. If you have an actor who isn't very good then don't give them big monologues, lengthy dialogues, and/or "poignant" scenes that will take the viewer out of the episode.

Those previous Flash villains didn't need to talk nearly as much as they did. I know they did it to break up the action scenes but there are other ways to accomplish that.

  7. Lloyd Owen is a fairly well known Brit actor. He is amazing. The CW is actually quite lucky to have him. Give him a chance. Most shows can't get talent like this.

  8. Amazing episode. Loved the friendship theme tonight. Was very heartfelt. My only problem with it was plastique. She just seemed very... bland so when it was time to kill her off I couldn't really bring myself to care too much unfortunately

  9. pretty good ep. enjoyed the Plastique storyline even though some of the acting was a bit on the flat side, but we got another taste of the darkness behind Prof Wells (assuming he's the reverse Flash) as he apparently can control people by suggestion and am looking forward to seeing how they will develop Gorilla Grodd now... kinda wish they could find another storyline for Iris to follow as even though I only watched a few eps of Smallville, she feels a lot like the Chloe character, wanting to write about odd things etc but I get that this is way to have her involved so I'll just wait and see what the writers have planned.

  10. Amazing!

The special effects are amazing most notably when Barry ran up the side of that building and the wate scene.

The scene with Joe and Barry and the vocal chords was realy great, so much heart is in that scene.
Great to see Sheriff Corbin, I mean Eiling, he played a good villian. I agree with everyone, te friendhips are really genuine :)

The animation for Grood was so realistic, I really cant wait to see that storyline expand. Harrison is so interesting.

  11. I always enjoy your reactions to the episodes so are you into Barry and Iris now? Wasn't sure if you were before but I've seen a lot of people get on board especially after tonight.

  12. The special effects in this show gets better and better every episode!! So good. The effects on water was top notch. Loved the episode. Plastique was kind of okay. I could not connect with her or feel her pain of not touching anyone. So how does she change her clothes? Take a bath. Use the bathroom? Eiling was a great villain though. I think we will see him again.

I loved Joe's glee when he heard Barry's modified voice. His laugh!!!!! And I also liked he knew all this time Barry was in love with Iris. A parent always knows. Love his relationship with Barry. Also Star labs becomes more lively whenever he walks in there and cracks a joke.

The roof top scene between Barry and Iris was really good. We could feel the romantic anticipation from Barry and Iris's need as a journalist to put this story out there and give this guy his due glory. I could have done without the scene where Barry is behind her and she does not turn around. Why wouldn't she turn around immediately. My heart broke for both Barry and Iris when Barry said they need to stay away from each other. I like it that Star lab guys are hanging out with Iris and Eddie. So when Iris is on Barry's secret we don't have to go through meet and greet again.

Harrison Wells is as mysterious and creepy as ever. His obsession in shaping everyone's future is disturbing. Why did Plastique listened to Wells and went to murder Eiling? Can Wells control minds now?? I don't know if it was the actress, I could not understand or see any change in her expression when she decided to kill Eiling.

A great episode. Could have been better with another actress for Plastique.

  13. Think just once when they do the calculations they could remember that Barry is going to be carrying someone else too? That's at least twice the mass. They did it twice in one episode. The physics doesn't have to be real, but it should be better if I have to listen to the dialogue.

Then they just dropped Plastique into the water like throwing her body away and I felt really sad for her.

I thought the Arrow/Flash guys all thought secret identities were the worst, why do we have an entire plotline with Iris about it. Just tell her. Then give her something to do. (And stop telling us that Barry likes her and she "says" he's amazing. Show me them being cute together and I'll get behind it.)

What is this grood crap? We have enough problem with human villains being complex and interesting on the show, I'm worried if we are moving onto animals.

  14. I agree about Barry/Iris. Every episode there is one exposition about how Barry is in love with Iris and one dialogue by Iris how much she appreciates the awesome person Barry is. It's annoying. For that reason alone I am glad they are drifting them apart as friends.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Nice episode, but I see the Hero will again choose to keep his identity a secret from the one he loves.

Plastique was a nice character it was sad to see her die, but after Wells told her what to do, It was that or she goes on the run after she did kill him.

Discovering all the things The Flash can do is going to be fun, seems like each week we see him do more, sort of like with Smallvilie/Clark. I liked his vibration voice just like Joe. At first I was like a voice changer, but then when he showed it, I cracked up too. But yea this week we go to see vertical run and water run.

Also I really liked it when Caitlin did a Felicity move at the start.

  16. I'm really enjoying this show and I like it more than Arrow.

I think Iris finding out is going to take a while. I don't think they'll follow the comics (where she learns his identity once they're married) because I don't see them leaving her in the dark for that long on the show. I think she'll probably find out at the end of the season.

I don't need them to tell us every episode that Barry is in love with Iris though. It's kind of excessive.

    ReplyDelete
  17. It's just Cisco explicitly says "take your body weight..." twice and I'm sitting here going, um buddy, he's carrying Plastique or he's carrying the window washer. It's little thing, but if they thought that far why not all the way?

They've got to stop telling us Barry likes Iris--it is seriously once an episode. Just write an interacting scene where Iris talks about someone who isn't her.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Haha, thanks. And i've loved Barry/Iris for years. This show wasn't going to change that. The first time we heard Iris's name (in Arrow) i was excited. I'm always going to be for them. = ).

    ReplyDelete
  19. That's great to hear I love them as well especially during tonights episode I'm glad Iris was used a lot more in this episode I'm just wondering what's going to happen now that we're close to the midseason finale perhaps Eddie will show his true colors and we'll find out he's not what he seems.

  20. Awesome episode as usual, I am enjoying the show so much it's getting so close to my love for Arrow, and speaking of Arrow I loved all the references to my OTP :D "Do I sound like Felicity?" not so funny when you're the one embarrassing yourself, is it Caitlin? lol

The relationship between Joe and Barry remains to be my favourite on the show, I love their scenes so much and that hug was a very awww moment and Barry's voice making Joe laugh so hard lol I thought he used a voice muffler at first and was thinking I don't like it, Oliver's is way better then he told Joe and I said AAAH so that's why lol. Yes I KNEW he knew Barry was in love with Iris, it's so obvious which makes it so annoying that Iris doesn't see it, anyway I think I'm starting to ship Barry and Iris a little, their scenes were beautiful and heart breaking when she told the Streak that she's been writing about him for Barry that scene was very well acted (you know the parts when Barry wasn't running like Speedy Gonzales all over the place lol) and the last scene when he saw that she has a little crush on the Streak you can see the disappointment on his face, she finally has feelings for him but not really him and he wanted to tell her so much, the struggle on his face was so obvious I really expected her to realize that he is the Streak, but of course she didn't, because they make her so oblivious when it's convenient to the story, moooving on lol

I liked Plastique, too bad that she died it was very sad and it affected Barry (btw stop taking off your mask in broad day light, Barry especially when the enemy is a few meters away from you) but I liked the effects in that scene and when Barry saved the window cleaner, very well done. Cisco's crush on Plastique was adorable lol and Caitlin telling him that she can perform a lobotomy and when he named Plastique "you didn't really think that one through did you? haha and a friendly advice Cisco stop being so attached to the suits because you will be very heart broken a lot lol

Wells can be very scary when he wants to, he intimidated Eiling, that was very impressive. I knew Plastique was going to die before she tells Barry that Wells was the one who told her to kill Eiling But I wanted Barry to at least get suspicious or curious to know what she was going to say! and Who is GRODD? Is that a comics thing?

  21. "I'm wondering if they'll put in Barry's "speed talk" I would LOVE that!!! I want that to happen so badly." hahahahahahaha be back in a flash ;)

  22. Wait! the gorilla was CG? I thought it was real!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'm prety sure since but I'm not 100% sure. Where would they get a real Gorilla lol :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. Why can't they have a real gorilla? WHAT HAPPENED TO GORILLAS? are they extinct? hahaha

    ReplyDelete
  25. Gorilla Grodd is one of the The Flash's classic comic book villains. A hyperintelligent ape with various mental powers. Which would be explained if he was a test subject for General Eiling's "mind control" experiments.

    ReplyDelete
  26. There's a villain ape in the comics? I really need to start reading them lol

  27. Great episode! Really a lot fun.

The whole bit with Barry trying to get drunk was downright hilarious. "I can't get drunk. I mean, I'm only 25 and my drinking days are already over" XD. But at least he had a little bit of a buzz for about 5 seconds at the end! Thanks, Caitlin! Also loved your "Do I sound like Felicity" quote at the beginning. Pretty cute.

Plastique was very good and I hope that this isn't the last time we have seen her! Nice to see a different kind of metahuman that didn't turn out to be so evil afterall. And I loved the effects where Barry picked up Bette and raced over the water so she can detonate far away from land. Really cool.

Joe and Barry's relationship continues to shine in every episode and I love it so much. I loved that Joe always knew that Barry has been in love with Iris since he was old enough to know what love is. Once again, Papa West is always watching! And his laugh is so adorable when he heard Barry's altered voice :)

Guess it wasn't such a good idea afterall for Barry to try and stop Iris from investigating him because that just made her even more curious. But it's sad that their relationship is kinda broken right now for a little bit :(

Finally, the end scene!! I can't wait to see their take on Gorilla Grodd since he's such a well known villain in the comics and Barry and Grodd's fight scenes. It's going to be awesome. "Kneel before Grodd!"

    ReplyDelete
  28. I liked it. Really liked the actress playing Plastique. Loved that Iris' father nailed him on the being in love with Iris...and the implied "I approve." conversation. Seemed like Ellison (?) killed her a little too easily...and why kill her if your goal was to use her? Things like "Grodd" make me wish I'd read the comic title more recently that the early 90s

  29. The writers sure love to go back exactly five years in the flashbacks, don't they? Lol

    ReplyDelete
  30. They did a great job on Iris/Barry this week. Candice is very charismatic, After this episode I'm fairly certain that we've avoided another Laurel Lance fiasco! Yey everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Nah, I'm not worried about Eddie, am looking forward to his jealousy tho. Tbh I can tolerant him now ( the actor) with this role, I hated him on TVD.

As animal advocate, gorillas belong to their habitat, I hope is cgi. More ethic and flexive when Gorilla Grodd starts to act like a proper character.

    ReplyDelete
  33. They have really good chemistry don't they? And Iris's devotion to Barry is really commendable. I felt sad when Barry said they need to stay away from each other. :(

    ReplyDelete
  34. Did you read the press release during the crossover? I know sometimes you don't like spoilers so I won't say but I do still believe he's Professor Zoom and we'll see him be that in the midseason finale oh yeah I hated him on there but on this show I think they're going to reveal some things about him that maybe the characters don't know like what they do with Harrison even though we have no idea who he really is.

    ReplyDelete
  35. That was sad! I don't think is going to last, though. Iris warmed my heart when she told The Flash that she wanted him to help her friend. Cute overload.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Nope. I don't read press releases. (tmi for me). I really don't see him being Zoom, not at all. That would be one helluva twist though. We shall see. It'll be exciting.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I don't see why they wouldn't because he has the same name I always figured he came from the future and changed his first name to Eddie to make it sound more modern and I'm wondering when we'll learn about his dark past and why nobody can find any info on him.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Wait a minute Gorilla Grodd becomes a smart intelligent animal in the comics and i seen him on many DC animinated shows lol

    ReplyDelete
  39. Do you have a question? = /

    ReplyDelete
  40. Just wanted to make sure its the same Gorilla Grood from the comics and animated world lol
