  1. My heart completely sank when we heard Rose at the end. I don't know what I was expecting but that really got to me for some reason!

Absolutely loved the scene when Stella was putting the pieces together, so satisfying to watch.

  2. Seriously creepy. Two scenes stood out for me in that respect:
Paul visiting his victim in hospital counselling her and Paul in the hotel with Katie. Both equally disturbing to watch for different reasons.
I did expect a murder this episode as there wasn't one last time. Quite glad it did not happen - hearing Rose in the boot of the car ta the end was a relief and horrifying at the same time.

  3. I'm starting to wonder if Paul is going to keep to his promise not to kill again at this rate. He seems to be too busy clearing up the mess from before and handling Katie being a pain in the butt. Surely he'll crack soon? Though, god only knows what's on that card from the video camera, I think Rose is possibly wishing she was dead...

I hope the police will now look into Paul's childhood, I'd like to know why he was fostered. Is he like Dexter Morgan perhas, and saw his own brunette mother brutally strangled in front of him as a kid? Would explain a lot.

  4. Terrific ending this week, that phone call between them and then Rose's desperate cries from the boot of the car. I can't imagine what she's going through, I think Cubit has actually made it more terrifying by not showing us what happened in the barn!

  5. The series is giving very good information on the profile of abusers, rapists & serial killers of women - as Spector is a misogynistic sociopath / psychopath - & any woman who has been caught up with a less extreme version of this personality will recognise it. Not all of them kill & many, unlike him, actually abuse their spouse or partner. Katie is extremely interesting as she seems very intelligent, but young & innocent. Her sharp intellect is indicating to her that Spector is the killer, but she knows he is her intellectual equal & wants to spar with him - sexually too of course, believing he won't harm her. But she will soon transform fully into an adult & she will be in huge danger when Spector no longer views her to be a child. DSI Gibson is portrayed brilliantly. The under-mining of her analysis & investigation by Jim Burns will strike a chord with many professional women, as he worries more about public perception (& hence his own career) than he focuses on solving the case - whilst it's Gibson who is really getting somewhere with it. I think he may find killing Rose difficult because he knows her & cannot so easily be completely detached - but what else can he do now that he abducted her?

  6. Completely agree! That scene close to the start when we saw him leaving without knowing what he'd done to her made me feel sick!
