This one really picked up the pace I thought, such a lot happened. I really enjoyed the scene where Paul charmed his way round Katie at dinner, so uncomfortable yet completely believable that she'd fall for it.
All the action at Stella's hotel revealed a lot about everyone, I liked how she dealt with the annoying guy in the bar and how she subtly used some power play over Reed before that too. I didn't think Jim could get any more bumbling, but then he turns up drunk at her room, lol! The reveal about the Father at the foster home is interesting, it wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but does explain a lot. I'm guessing the incident with Rose was a psychotic break in Paul's life then due to the abuse?
Also loved seeing more of Emmett, his role is far too small on the show imo :p
I really enjoyed that episode. Paul will no doubt plan something now that he knows Stella's most intimate secrets! Katie is totally misguided and so easily wrapped around Paul's little finger. I did wonder why she was allowed out at night time to have a glass of wine in a restaurant? She is in love, that is for sure ,but I have no idea where this is going to go, apart from the fact that Paul is using her. She thinks she is in control, but she has no idea what she is really dealing with. Stella and Reed were quite interesting to watch. A little spark there between the two of them, but then Reed pulled out. But what does this tell us about Stella? Is she a lost girl looking for her father's love?
I don't know what the law is in Ireland, but 16 year olds are allowed a glass of wine/beer/cider with food in England if they are with an adult who is paying. But I think she was passing herself off as older, her mum seems to be absent quite a lot and might not even notice that she is out tbh. I agree totally with you that she only thinks that she is in control, Paul is being very clever at giving her exactly what she needs and no more. He's the one in control really and she's completely wound round his little finger isn't she. She's in for a rough ride I think!
I wish we'd seen more of Stella's journal, she's a bit of an enigma isn't she. Why does she connect with the few people she does, and what made her the way she is? I agree that it's probably something to do with her father.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
