What??? No option for Elias and Anthony phone call? And the subsequent explosion?
ReplyDeleteThe phone call between Elias and Anthony, IMO, was the best.
ReplyDeleteIt was on the long list!
ReplyDeleteThat's what "other" is for! Thanks for adding it here - it was on my long list...
ReplyDeleteFirefight in cosmetics! Ya gotta love how multiple gunshot,s including spray from a machine gun, and not a SINGLE civilian took a bullet. Shaw and Martine sure know how to thread the needle!
ReplyDeleteI loved the final scene filmed by the ocean. The sunset and lighting were magnificent. That's what happens when you go the extra mile to film on location instead of in front of a green screen. One of the best scenes of its kind I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteThe Root/Shaw push-pull reaches a new level as Root takes out Shaw to protect her--Yowza! Let's see how that one backfires...or doesn't.
ReplyDeleteI dont see it ending well for Root. Shaw is not someone you want to confine.
ReplyDeleteIt should have made the list over all the others!!!
ReplyDeleteALL !!!! I nominate all the scenes .... ALL
ReplyDeleteYeah, the greenscreened purple clouds in another show recently - brrrr....
ReplyDeleteThe scene where Dominic is already wondering what "force" is behind Reece and Shaw, and really subsequently Harold...it all leads to the Machine. Which makes me think Dominic will at some point turn into Team Samaritan in tracking them down.
ReplyDeleteThat Scarface and Link scene:
ReplyDeleteS: "It's not easy being number two."
L: "You better take Dominic's offer before it's too late.
You could be your own man. Have your own crew."
S: "I already got a crew. And a boss I'd lay down my life for."
L: "You really ready to do that?"
S: "A question you better ask yourself...
'Cause someday, you might find yourself sitting in a chair
that looks a hell of a lot like this one."
That right there could be the fulcrum of what becomes of Dominic's organization. One of the best scenes for me, alongside the conversation between Reese and Elias, Anthony's backstory, and Elias asking John this: "You ever wonder how much you're willing to take? How much further you can go?" - (beat) - Reese answers: "Sometimes... Right now I just to get as far as the exit." -- which was a nice callback to 1x07 "Witness".
Can I choose all of them? It was an amazing episode from start to finish. I did enjoy the firefight in cosmetics for entertainment value, but there were those dark scenes that were touching or very dramatic. Man, I thought Elias would surely bite the bullet in this one--sorry to see Anthony get it for his loyalty. That Dominic is a total turkey....I know Elias is a mafioso-type, but dang it--I like the guy!
ReplyDeleteMy feeling too!
ReplyDeletewhat does is a total turkey mean?
ReplyDeleteIt refers to someone who is a complete jerk or who is really a completely bad person. It is a colloquial expression for that.
ReplyDeleteNever an easy call with this show!
ReplyDeletenow we gotta wait 2 weeks for the promo of next episode.
ReplyDeleteThe best episode so far . they managed to perfectly combine all the different storylines. Amazing !!!
