Torn between the voting scene, Henry vs. Ichabod, and Abbie telling Katrina they will save her. In the end I went with the one least likely to get votes - female bonding. I really want Abbie, Katrina, and Jenny to work together and see each other's strengths instead of the typical female squabbling you see on most TV.

I live in hope that Sleepy Hollow will avoid the cliche. My favorite thing about Abbie breaking the code was ichabod's reaction. He seemed so affronted.
ReplyDeleteI hope they'll avoid it, too. They're usually really good at subverting those sorts of clichés, so I'm all for them going against the grain here, too. Seconding your request that Abbie, Jenny, and Katrina form a kickass trio.
ReplyDeleteI did vote for the voting scene, but the Henry vs. Ichabod and Katrina/Abbie scenes rank right up there, too. The Henry/Ichabod one was a great moment of excellent acting skills on display, and the Katrina/Abbie one was a wonderful moment of female bonding, as you note. I love that Abbie and Katrina can both bring different ways of thinking to the show-Abbie's the no-nonsense, get down to business sort, and Katrina's the optimistic, idealistic sort. Abbie's strength is more visible, and Katrina's strength is quieter. They balance each other out well, and that kind of balance can be very useful.
I also like a scene that IC is complaining about "no campaign" sulkily until Abbie place the "I voted" sticker to IC's jacket and then He will stop complaining
