This episode was one of the worst for me so the choices are slim pickings. Of them all, Trubel and her machete stick out the most so it gets my vote.
ReplyDeleteI tried to pick one but I did not enjoy this episode in the slightest.
ReplyDeleteThat terrible Juliette story arc is getting its own special episode award from me this week - most likely to have been pulled directly from fan fiction. It's like the writers aren't even trying right now.
ReplyDeleteIt was good to have a just Nick and Monroe scene again. It reminded me of season 1. Too bad the rest of the episode did not.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I promise you I've been thinking the same thing, the stories have been so repetitive lately, I was like did the writers all quit, the same oh same oh, over and over, if it's not Juliette getting on my nerves, then there is Adalind repeating where is my baby, again
ReplyDeleteAnd again, and then dragging on of not telling Wu, sheesh I didn't mean to vent, it's getting boring and this is one of my favorite shows, I hope it gets better soon! Sorry for the rant:)
I sure agree!!!!
ReplyDeleteAgreed that this was a weak episode however every episode that passes without them telling Wu is going to get docked points in my book. Only two scenes made this episode were worth watching for me: Truble giving angry Wesen guy a machete kiss and the end scene with the Nick/Monroe conversation and Juliette finally gives her blessing to Nick becoming a Grimm. Hopefully, this will be the last time Juliette ever brings up "a normal life" and the writers can finally make a her a full fledged member of the Grimm Gang with a role other than "relationship drama".
ReplyDeleteI laughed at how ridiculous the whole Juliette-turning-into-Adalind thing is but I am going to hold onto the one and only positive thing that will come of it: Claire Coffee's first scene of the season where she doesn't say "Where's my baby?".
Trubel going all angry Grimm on the Wesen was my favorite scene.
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed so many people didn't like this episode. I kinda liked how there was so much going on, with Trubel, Bud, and the cat dude, Josh getting chased by Verrat, Adalind being tortured (JOY!), and the discovery of a Wesen litter. I remember the season one episode with the bird lady, Monroe mentioned a "litter." I thought he was being sarcastic until now.
ReplyDeleteFor favorite scene, I picked Monroe breaking in the house and finding out there was more than one Gabriel. That was just fun.
Actually, Trubel's scene with the klaustreich kind of bothered me. What I got from it was even though the guy was a hothead, he hadn't really done anything to merit that treatment. I know we were supposed to cheer Trubel on (and I usually cheer her on) but all I did was watch that scene with a gaping jaw mixed with murmuring, "GEEZ, Trubel..."
Any scene without Trubel. Please let Nick get his powers back so she can go away. She is running this show for me.
ReplyDeleteWasn't in hate of this episode...it was better than a couple of others so far this season. This powerless Grimm story should have paid attention to the rule of 3....5 episodes is too many.
ReplyDeleteI picked the scene with Renard telling Nick he had to poop or get off the pot. :-D
This episode sure felt as though the writers were trying to tie together as many loose threads as possible. Not exactly one of my favorite episodes, but when you go back and mute some of the Adalind scenes and whatnot it isn't too bad.
ReplyDeleteFavorite Scenes:
1. Nick telling Monroe he actually kinda liked being a grimm and missed it. Finally! I was waiting three seasons for Nick to actually admit that he likes being a grimm! It's about time!
2. Wu snarks about believing things to Nick & Hank. It hilarious seeing how much Nick was unnerved by Wu's snark here! Go Wu!
3. Josh finding people in his house. Simply because I'm harboring a secret hope that Josh will turn out to be another grimm sometime soon.
Least Favorite Scenes:
1. Monroe, Hank & Nick confront an entire litter of luison. What were the writers thinking? Honestly? Having a whole litter of them? Having two of them was believable but having 3? or 4? that was just ridiculous!
2. All of Adalind's trippy adventures in wonderland. It seriously felt like I was watching a cheaply made soap-opera during those scenes. Normally I don't mind Trubel that much, but that scene really hit a nerve.
3. Trubel taking down the wessen threatening Nick. Even though the guy was a jerk, it seriously bothered me that Trubel was ready to chop the guy's head off without a 2nd thought as to how it would affect Nick. Even though the guy was threatening Nick, I can't exactly see him being thrilled if he found out Trubel chopped another person's head off.
3. Trubel taking down the wessen threatening Nick.
ReplyDeleteI thought that she was just doing it to threatened and was not at all intending to kill this guy. I thought it was just a way to put the word out that Nick isn't completely helpless and has powerful allies.
I am actually fine with Nick being powerless. I just need them to have better cases of the week and to not dip into fan fiction to make Juliette a part of the story.
ReplyDeleteUh. Oh. What did I miss?
ReplyDeleteThe whole Juliette has to become Adalind and have sex with Nick is fan fiction at its worst. What's next? Nick turns into a baby? Nick and Trubel switch bodies?
ReplyDeleteAh. In which case the fan fic started when Adalind turned into Juliette so she could have sex with nick. :-)
ReplyDeleteVery true. It was stupid, boring, and led to this mess. I am tired of them trying to find magical reasons to fit Juliette in to the story. It always backfires.
ReplyDeleteI actually dreaded the rewatch this week because I was so frustrated. I understand the need to vent about it because they are making some truly sucky decisions right now.
ReplyDeleteIn so far as giving Juliette something to do...they have to come up with something. I'd rather they do this than saddle us with a bunch of contrived ways to continually keep her in the dark.
