  2. I wonder what was that explosion at the end!
Too bad this one is probably gonna end with a cliffhanger and we will have to wait till the half of December for the next one. (And then probably till January.)

  3. Erik Mountain's done it again.

  5. it looks highly likely what we discussed is going to happen

  6. Who do you think will die? Elias is a bit obvious for me. Who could forget endgame last year!

  7. why should we wait? will there be a break?

  8. Yes, as 410 airs on December 16.

  9. Oh look it's Root! The prodigal daughter is back for this episode. It is truly a miracle all hail the machine.
I wonder if she's going to participate in saving Shaw on her Rootcycle.

  10. Yeah. December 2 has a rerun of last season's 4C. December 9, there's the Victoria Secret Fashion Show.

  11. Many will, but there is also a higher chance that (because a number of shows finish their first half around this time) they think that this big cliff is the fall season end, or they simply forget to watch it when it fell out of pace. A rerun and then a completely different kind of program in its standard slot doesn't bring the feeling that there are one more leftover episode on the shelf. The large part of the audience isn't a fan just an unobliged viewer.

But the main problem is that I don't get the logic in its core at all. December ratings before the holidays are usually goes down. Singled out episodes also fare worse than those ones which are in a chain.

If the arc isn't be closed in 7x09, then there is no way that after a three week break the endgame episode could bring better numbers than right next week from the penultimate one. If they close the arc, then dropping one single episode into the fray and then hoping that people will remember it after 3-4-5 (I don't know) weeks is also daydreaming.

ABC had done the same with Castle for seasons, airing the last winter episode in solo. In each season it had the season's lowest numbers, and Castle wasn't even serialized.

  12. The one show that frequently scares its own viewers.

  13. I get how important advertisements are to certain websites, but waiting 45 seconds or a whole minute for a 30-second video is kind of ridiculous.

  14. Hmm. I get you. TBH, even I am miffed with this scheduling. Last year, they aired 10 episodes on the trot and 3x08 through 3x10 was one story line. There were no gaps between. Only after 3x10, did they take a break for two weeks, aired 3x11 in mid Dec (started a new story line with Arthur and Samaritan), ended 3x11 on a cliffhanger and again took the winter break.

They should have done the same thing this year. But then again, maybe 4x09 gives us some sort of conclusion to Elias' predicament and 4x10 could be all about the Machine/Samaritan mythology thereby setting up a new primary arc for the remainder of the reason. The Brotherhood and Dominic will definitely continue as the secondary arc too.

  15. S1 had 23, S2 had 22 and S3 had 23 episodes respectively. I wonder if S4 will have 22 or 23. Any idea what determines the no. of episodes finalized for a season? Is it up to CBS to decide the final tally of episodes in a season? Or do the EPs of the show themselves, finalize the no. of episodes?

I'm rooting for Elias and Scarface (duh...), but it doesn't look good.

  17. I'm utterly terrified. Don't kill Shaw, I beg of you

  18. Greer is one of those characters I could enjoy watching die slowly.

  19. Its up to the EP's. If they feel they need an extra episode of story as shown by S1 and S3..CBS is willing to accommodate. Just looks like this year if they figure they need an extra one it will be later and added to the second half.

  20. CBS likes to troll its viewers with their promos.

  21. I think that's a bit obvious too, considering that she's explicitly stated she's willing to die. In my opinion it'd be a bit too obvious if they wanted to be dramatic about it. I don't know who will but I'm really not okay with anyone dying.

  22. I don't think they will; it feels more likely than Root dying (since Root said explicitly she's willing to die) but at the same time, I think it's just CBS trolling, they do that a lot with promos and shit like that.

  23. I love Elias and Scarface, but I am rooting for Dominic. I am very intrigued by his character and I feel that if the writers develop him more, he would be an amazing antagonist.
