This is sooo sweet!!!!! I love the Disney movie of Cinderella since I was a baby, this is equal!!!!!! Richard is so handsome as the prince, what a blue eyes! Robb it's going to have a better wedding, uh? xD I didn't know that Galadriel was Lady Tremaine in this version, I love Cate Blanchett!!! I can't wait, I can't with this romantic movies :D
The fairy godmother is Helena Bonham Carter, I have to see that now!!!

  3. Not much of a Cinderella fan, but for Cate Blanchett as the evil step mother, I will watch (maybe on DVD, but watch I will).

Richard Madden looks really odd clean shaven. Scruff is his friend.

Everyone knows the story so I guess its not THAT bad that they pretty much showed the WHOLE movie in just over 2 minutes; well, except for the prince putting the slipper on her foot at the very end. So we'll have to imagine what that will look like until the movie comes out.

  5. So they revealed everything relevant about the movie. Just not the scene where he finds her after the ball. Okay I don't have to watch the movie.

  6. I love fairy tale retellings and this one looks like it's going to be great.

  7. The poster is a rip off of a photshoot Scarlett Johansson did as Cinderella back in 2007.

  10. It looks epic and the music is amazing, I can't wait to see it! It seems to also be really close to the Disney version. Bonus points from me. I'm looking at you, OUAT! I don't like your twists to my childhood fairytales.

  11. Well it could be like Ever After, it may have the same plot points as the original but there could be things they may have changed.

  12. I love it already! Cate Blanchett as 'madam' and Helena Bonham Carter as the Fairy Godmother, this will be fantastic!
Also It's nice to see two Downton Abbey girls outside of the show :)

  13. The aesthetic and effects look top notch, also evil Cate Blanchet and blonde Helena Bonham-Carter? yaas!. I grew up with "Ever After" though, and there's a lot of the original Disney tale that I just don't like. I hope the pros counter my cons.

  15. Well, I like the music at least.

  16. Exactly what I thought.

I would add that so many movies were made about Cinderella. Trailer showed the same old scenario, there won't be anything new to the story like it was in Maleficent. Why bother making another movie about this princess, if there are many other characters to choose from.

Some of you here mentioned EverAfter. It is a beautiful picture thanks to many factors, foremost Drew Barrymore. Then next came all the other ones, worse in my opinion. Cinderella is just a worn out material.

Disney be creative! Why not a SCAR movie with his past or Ursula or even Mulan??

  17. That photoshoot was part of Year of Million Dreams at Disneyland, so ;)

  18. Typical and doesn't seem to bring anything new or innovative to the story, but it looks sweet enough.
Great casting with Cate Blanchett and Helena Bonham Carter in their respective roles.
On a shallow note Richard needs his scruff back...
