Hello Grimmers! Sorry for the delay, I had some very busy weeks, so I couldn't make it with the reviews. I hope this one will be satisfied in one way.
In the third episode of the season, "Last Fight" (you can check my preview here), Nick and Hank investigate a Wesen boxing gym. With Nick not being a Grimm, it's up to Trubel to investigate, She goes undercover as a potential boxer and befriends with a young wesen boxer named Clary and called Herfigaurouch (a bull like wesen), who's pushing to do more by his wesen boxing trainer named Stan and called Schinderdiv (a warthog like Wesen).
I found funny the fact that Nick and Juliette visit a doctor to see what's going on with him. He's struggling with his new identity, and I really hope he can have his powers back very soon. We all need more Grimms in this world. To be a Grimm or not to be a Grimm? We all know Nick's answer. I'm sorry for Juliette's fans but I've never really liked her so much, and in this season she's getting more annoying. Nothing against Bitsie, who's a sweet and funny actress and person, but writers need to give Juliette a better storyline and maybe apart from Nick.
I've really loved Elizabeth's character. She finally gets in action to help Monroe and Rosalee search a way to restore Nick's powers. She's a Hexenbiest like Adalind so she's the one who can do the spell. Speaking of Adalind, she's still trapped in Vienna, but someone helps her escape. I wonder who's this person and what are his plans. No one helps Adalind like that if he doesn't want something in return.
In the fourth episode of the season, "Dyin' on a Prayer", Nick and Hank investigate on a possible homicide where the victim (an abusive ex husband and a Wesen) seems to have died in mysterious circumstances. It turns out he was killed by a Golem who was called up by the Rabbi brother, Ben, of the victim's ex wife. Ben confesses he killed Keith Harrow, then he shows the origin of the Golem, then a jar who contains the remains of the jewish creature.
Trubel feels empathy with Ben's son David, explaining the fact that both see monsters. It had be hard for her starts feeling weird at her young age because she can see things other people can't. I think she doesn't want to have all this power by herself, but as long as Nick isn't a Grimm, it depends on her finding Wesens. "How many Grimms there are in the world? "Maybe therey're not enough." Her question here is legitimate. If the Grimm's world is like Buffy's then expect to see more potential Grimms out there.
Meanwhile, Cap. Sean Renard comes back at the precinct. I found really sweet the fact that he thanked all the agents for the great job and for being supportive with him. He feels the precinct is his home. Then there's Wu. How can you blame him? He keeps investigating Renard's shooting and he's close to suspect Trubel is behind it. Plus, he knows Nick is protecting her for some reasons - that we all know.
In Vienna, Adalind is following her mysterious saviour only to find herself almost at the top of the castle with crying faces on the wall telling her they know where's her baby. Suddenly, she finds surrounding by water and almost drowning.
As things become clearer, Nick and Hank find out David is the responsable for Keith's dead, but at that moment, the Golem is unstoppable. To protect Theresa, who's been attacked by the creature, David stabs him and kills him. The Golem was the answer for a prayer David did.
In the end, Elizabeth, Monroe and Rosalee show at Nick's house. They say they know how to restore his powers, but they only need one last element: Juliette. I don't think the writers want to kill her off like that, so I hope it'd be something more interesting to see.
What did you think about those last episodes? Do you want Nick to have his powers back?

Yes I want Nick powers back I do think they are going to really put Juliette in harm way to the point where she almost died to get Nick powers back I like how Nick and Juliette treat Trubel as their family hope they keep her on the show along with Renard mom they really should let Wu in on the secret before he does something also I believe he can handle it
ReplyDeleteyep.... they are really underestimating him...he's seen the bad and he got through it...
ReplyDeletePlease, can Nick get his powers back soon. And when is the gypsy who gave Adalind's powers back to her in exchange for the baby going to show up wanting her payment. Can we also keep Trubel and Elizabeth all season.
ReplyDeleteThe gypsy wanted the baby - that was her payment. Later on she told Viktor about the baby and the deal she made. I think she played safe, snitched about Adalind to the Royals to be on their good side. I doubt that she will come looking for the baby now.
ReplyDelete"Can we also keep Trubel and Elizabeth all season."
They're both awesome. Let's hope they stay longer than intended. Elizabeth is so powerful and well informed, that she immediately knew that the baby was valuable. She could be a powerful antagonist in the future if she makes her own play to obtain her grand child.
Other thoughts:
Most intriguing thing about Nick getting his powers back is the use of Juliette. I wonder what Elizabeth will make Juliette do or make both Nick and Juliette do. It's definitely not going to be pleasant at all.
The Gypsy lady could be dead. She told Victor about the baby and he looks like a person who dislikes loose ends. It's possible he had her "removed" as she's one of few people who know the baby exists. If any person asks "why didn't you get the brat?" Victor can pretend there was no baby, only rumors and "you know how Wessen hate us and gossip about us and so on...". When she's curious what happened Victor can't pretend. So one of the easiest ways of dealing with such problems is to remove every person who knows/knew/may discover the truth.
ReplyDeleteI love this show, but not Juliett. I would like to see her go. Everyone else is in sync but her. Please do not write Trubel and Renard out of the script. I really like Trubels character. It's a strong young woman who doesn't have to show her body all the time. This show is really written well. It is a lot better than the show after it, Constantine.
ReplyDeleteOf course, get Nick's power back! Otherwise, he's toast! Love the Elizabeth, Rosalee and Monroe scenes! The weakest part of the whole thing was Adalind's scenes. Please, just drown the idiot already? Can't stand what she's become and weeping wall-faces, seriously? Silly, silly, silly...but if it had killed her, that would be good!
ReplyDeleteThanks :) and same here!
ReplyDeleteI think too, Wu could handle the Grimm's world.
ReplyDeleteAdalind had just one scene... too bad for her character. I'm expecting more this season.
