I apologize for the late reviews, so I decided to put the first two episodes of the fouth season of Grimm together. Maybe you had the chance to read the preview for the episode I wrote some weeks ago. The season premiere, "Thanks for the Memories" opened right after the events of the last season finale.

After sleeping with Adalind - who appeared in Juliette's aspect - Nick is human again as the Hexenbeist stole his powers. Also, he can't investigate on Sean Renard's shooting because at his house 'cause there are new cops in town who want to know all the truth.
At this point of the story, Trubel is the only Grimm in town. She remains a sassy and tough girl who helps both Nick and Hank during their investigation on the new threat in town - a man with an Octopus Head who steals the memories of his victims. Trubel feels guilty for not having showed up in time and give Nick the potion against Adalind; also she feels guilty for having interrupted Rosalie and Monroe's wedding - and by the way, how cute were those two all dressed up?
"I'm just really sorry that all those things happened in your wedding day." Oh, Trubel, we see your frustration. I really like her. She's part of Nick's team and I hope she'll stick around for the whole season 4.

I was really surprised that Juliette wasn't so angry about Nick sleeping with Adalind. I expected her to be more like "How is that possible you didn't notice she wasn't me?" Come on, they've been living and sleeping together for years, and Nick didn't have a single doubt during that scene?

Speaking of Wu, I really hope he'll find out soon about Nick's identity and all the Grimm stuff. He deserves the truth, after all he've been through - don't forget he had been recovered in a mental institute for a while because he saw that demon. Last, Sean Renard's fate. He's in the hospital, stucking between life and death, but as we see the last minutes, it seems he didn't survive... or did he?

Last night's episode, "Octopus Head", a mysterios woman enters in Renard's room and with some kind of magic trick - a snake with two heads, ew - saves his life. Captain Renard wakes up and recognizes the woman as his mother - surprise!

Meanwhile, Adalind is in Vienna at Viktor's castle. She wants to see her baby, Diana, but she gets trapped in a cage - never trust a royal. I admit, I have compassion for her. She did what she needed to do - steal Nick's power - in order to see her daughter. This makes you wonder what kind of mother she is. I have a thing for her character and I hope the writers will show some other sides of her, beside being always the bad girl in town. Just as she trinks she's in trouble and tries to show mercy in front of Viktor, Adalind receives a surprise guest: someone is helping her, but we can't see his face, just his voice. Is he good or evil?

In Portland, the hunt for the Octopus Head continues, as Trubel leads the investigation on her own - and she almost risks to have her memory stolen if Nick and Hank hadn't come to rescue in time. Without his powers, Nick feels uncomfortable; he's not accostumed to be human anymore, and he feels useless because he can't help Trubel as he wishes.

Juliette visits Monroe and Rosalie and tells them she doesn't want Nick to get his powers back, since she prefers him as a normal guy - are we sure Nick would feel the same? I expect to have some arguments between Nick and Juliette over this.

If you thought sleeping with Adalind didn't have any conseguences, you were wrong. With Adalind stucks in Vienna, and Nick in Portland, the two start to have a bad headache at the same time and it's like they both can see what each other is doing. For a moment, Adalind sees Nick's house all around, and Nick sees Adalind's cell. I think this is just the beginning of their connection which I wish to be explored more in the next episodes.
