Michelle Gomez, who plays the latest incarnation of that galactic jackanapes the Master, speaks to Doctor Who Magazine about her evil role…
“Everything about making the Master the Mistress kind of ups the ante,” says Michelle. “It makes everything that little bit more dangerous. It blows open this Pandora’s box.”
Michelle probably can’t reveal whether or not she’ll be back as Missy next year, but DWM asks her anyway, apropos of nothing.
“Yes,” replies Michelle.
Now, that was surprising!
“‘Yes’ is my answer. I’ll be back. Can I say that? Am I allowed? If not… well, I guess we’ll have to see how she’s received…”

Not really that surprising the Master always comes back! I'm glad I liked Missy and it makes sense if the main arc of S9 is about the Doctor trying to find Gallifrey. Hope we get more Time Lords and Ladies, its interesting that Clara mentioned Jenny in the last episode could we finally see her again?

ugh so I bet she'll make a reference to Clara & I'll remember how much I miss her... Why does every companion have to leave every time???

I don't think Clara has really left. The tag to the finale certainly implied the story isn't over, and I've read reports that Jenna is in the Christmas episode at the very least.

ReplyDeleteIn fact I meant in season 9 Missy is back but no Clara. That's why I will miss her after Christmas. I hope no Doctor love story for season 9. That's what I meant.

ReplyDeleteEvery Doctor/Companion relationship is a love story. Clara was not romantic, at least not with 12, if that's what you mean.

ReplyDeleteExactly, the Master always has a trick or two up their sleeve in case things go wrong. The way Twelve said "You win" and Missy replied with "I know" was just proof of that imo :)

ReplyDeleteYou forget there are episodes with multiple Doctors. Why can't there be a story with multiple Masters? See The Day of the Doctor. It worked.
