CSI is losing another veteran team member.
George Eads, who has played the role of CSI Nick Stokes since the series' pilot, will exit the show at the conclusion of the current season, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively. Sources say Eads' departure was amicable and that his character's exit will be connected to the resolution of the Gig Harbor Killer case. However, it remains unclear exactly how his character will be written out of the series.
Eads had no official statement about his departure.

ReplyDeleteWhat again?
ReplyDeleteI won't say that I'm surprised, since I haven't really been that into the show for the past few seasons. The only reason why I've stuck around is Ted Danson. The writers have been really downplaying the remaining originals and they have gotten to a point of blandness. Stokes leaving the show is just signaling the end of the show, not to mention the episode cut down. If I were CBS, I would pull the plug after this season. To make things more appropriate, they should just announce that this season will be the final one during the holidays. 15 years is phenomenal for any show, I mean the show is as old as me! Not to mention the fact that CSI became the motherhood of so many procedural dramas that came during the 15 years that it has been on the air.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I hope Nick isn't on the Gig Harbor Killer hit-list. If the show ended with its last original member biting the bullet, no one is going to be happy about that.
The show will probably get another short season to pad out its international syndication numbers and this is how CBS keeps the cost low enough.
ReplyDeleteCSI original cast are losing a lot of people......there are a few left......
ReplyDeleteThe show should just end already. The longer it goes on, the more of its original cast leaves the show.
ReplyDeleteJorja Fox would be the only other original cast member now? And she had a gap in there.
ReplyDeletewell Eric Szmanda (Greg) and Dr. Robbins is still there
ReplyDeleteSad news !
