    I'd be pretty shocked - and massively disappointed - if it were a prank.

    For one thing, as you say, they've done that once already.

    More importantly, Castle is still finding his way back from a major trauma, still missing two months of his memory, and still trying to get his relationship with Beckett back to where it was before. A "prank" that messes with his grasp of reality, at this point in his life, would be beyond cruel.

    Third, the promo seems to show Castle getting thrown through the air, and he arrives at the station dirty and worried that Kate is still in danger: this absolutely looks like Castle has been knocked unconscious and is dreaming the entire AU, (but this is Castle, so you just know they'll live a tiny possibility that it was all real!)

    Cool scene...I would have liked Kate to pause just a second longer on the hand touch...But yeah can't wait...I'm sure all those people that re-watch awesome episodes will be abusing this one...
