Friday is the most logical option but it didn't work with HoD last season, so maybe they'll try and change things.

ReplyDeleteOnly speaking for myself, it is both. I tried the show and hated it. The acting is so stiff and the writing was not there. There was nothing for me to enjoy. Then the fandom started running rampant. It was beyond annoying. Not everyone is going to like your show and some took offense to that. To each their own but if I don't like a show, the worst thing you can do is harass me to try and make me like it. Just on twitter alone, I was done with the bad show, the irritating fans and all things BaTB. I would search hashtags for my favorite shows (TWD, The100, Justified, Supernatural, SOA etc...) and there would be tweets like this :"Hey #The100 fans! If you love drama and action with a good romance, watch #BATB Live! Monday's at 9" or "#TWD,#The100, #Supernatural, watch #BATB Live at 9 this Monday!"
ReplyDeleteAll in an effort to raise your ratings, claiming the CW sabotaged you by not promoting. Like that was the only show not getting promotion. As if we didn't already know when it aired and avoided it like the plague.
Then there are the never ending polls, the sense of entitlement, and the general "we won the PCA's, we should be renewed!"
I love shows that not everyone does. I don't care that they don't. This fandom seems to take it personally.
Sorry, but you asked. The fandom made me hate a show I already disliked.
It's so perplexing to me I see a lot of shows with #of people asking someone to try shows they like, known receive the hate BATB does, my philosophy, to each his or hers own, if you don't like something you have the option to change the channel, and keep it moving, I'm just saying!!

ReplyDeleteCW will NOT waste post Arrow or Flash slot with a very low rated show likey entering its final season.Itll be on Fri after after HoD finishes paired with Reign or Jane or air in summer?Whst do you mean "Hozd on Fri didn't work"?It got the same ratings as it did on Mon and awaited syndication and got renewed and opened up the Mon slot for a new show that needed a chance to survive.
ReplyDeleteOnce is 100% safe and will be renewed.Its ratings are even or up yty and it's still abcs fourth or fifth highest rated show,it's abc owned,making money though DVDs& the comic book ect and abc has much lower rated shows to cancel first-Forever,Res,maybe Revrnge.Once will get another season to get to 100 episodes for syndication.Dont use online polls to determine if a show will be cancelled or Renewdd-instead use thier Nielson ratings,Neilson ratings realitive to other shows on the network,DVr number(Once still does deccent in DVr).

I tried to watch Supernatural and just couldn't get into it at all. Yet they have one of the largest, and in my opinion most annoying fandoms of all. And its a huge fandom, so while I don't care for the show, millions of others do! They absolutely love their show and even if I don't get it, I totally respect that. I don't let their comments bother me, I just pass right over them. It's easy. Why can't everyone else do the same.
There's something out there for everyone and to each his own. So simple.
I think its very difficult for people who have never had to fight to keep their fave show on the air to understand where the BATB fandom is coming from, and I think its that constant threat of cancellation that has made us a little (OK, a lot) overzealous.
I feel bad for the people who feel they have to get on these posts and slag other people's favourite shows. Why not just concentrate on the shows you love, and let others do the same...

ReplyDeletethanks & glad. I know it's up this season but last time it did 2.3 adjusted up to 2.4. That's low to previous weeks and I fear it can go even lower next eps. People stopped watching because they complain about the producers's choices. Have you not noticed the hate? I fear that will get less people to watch & so it will risk.
ReplyDeleteThey are NOTgoing to use thier second highest rated show,one of thier best leadin on BatB, they'll use it in a new show.Im expecting Messengers to go post Arrow.Batzb got one chance with a good leadin in season one,it underperformed, it won't be a high rated leadin ever again, that's why it was moved for season two.Im sorry if I sound rude,I'm a fan if BatB too but I'm being realistic and you need to too.Batzb is very low rated and is probably entering its final season ,they Absolutley 109%. Won't give it the post Arrow spot.
ReplyDeleteIt can go high 1.s( 1.7-1.8) and still be renewed.Once is is no risk or danger or risk of cancellation unless it looses a whole pont ( goes to 1.2) in ratings and that won't happen.Yes I've heard some people are upset about CS and some didn't like the Frozen arc,but Onces ratings are still good for ABC .And they still will be even if it drops to high1.s in spring.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a BatB fan, tried to watch it but bored me tondeath. I'm just curious about where they'll put it with their packed schedule. Cause they didn't even move BAtB to Fridays last year so would be surprised if they'll do it now. And no you are not rude, you just have a strong opinion. And I agree mostly with you, The Messengers will most likely air after Arrow and BatB if not suprisingly hits 0,5s at least gets cancelled this year.

ReplyDeleteWell, I agree I was suprised they didn't move it to Fri last season too but WL return pined,ANTM ran into the fall schedule and at Midseason,HoD went to Fri to wait syndication -so Fri were too full and before the season started CW couldnt ve known how the ratings would fall significtlly between seasons.But this season,WL might hon back on hiatus,Jane or Reign will move to Fri to open a slot for IZombie or one if them to Fri after HoD is done and Batzb airs in summer.BatB is too low rated to air anywhere but Fri and the rest of the schedule will be packed with Messengers,IZombie,Fladh,SPN,Arrow,VD,Tzo and whichever of Jane or Reign stays put.There will be room Mon-Thurs for it and CW won't waste a valuable timeslot weekday on it,

ReplyDeleteCW always makes questionable choices regarding their scheduling. And the first one last year was combining HoD and BatB on Monday. But currently there isn't a really compatible show for BatB on the CW so no matter where they'll put it it won't end well.
ReplyDeleteBut either way the CW has a dark spot in their schedule with relatively under-performing shows Jane, Reign and BatB, so one week spot will stand there.
But I'm still surprised TheCW will air The Librarians on Friday starting Dec 12th and no clue if it'll be a permanent gig.
No it's just the back door pilot movie for thecTNzt tv series The Libararians.HoD returns to Fri Jan 9.I think they put HoD/BatB together last season cause 1.they are female skewing.2.They were fourth & fifth rated shows but not good rated enough to be leadins to new shows/anchor a night and they wanted thier top shows-Arrow,SPN,VD to be paired with new shows to give the new shows a chance at surviving and before the season started,Hozd,BatB were doing well enough to avoid Fri and then three was no where else for them to go but Mon, together.Butcthen the started,HoD,BatB ratings declined and HoD moved to Fri to wait syndication.
ReplyDelete100% the fans. I've only seen a few episodes of the show and while I didn't like it enough to keep watching, I didn't hate it or anything. But the obnoxiousness of the fans (not everybody, of course) and the toxicity in which they operate online is a complete turn-off. While they're certainly not the only fan base who acts out, their behavior is entitled to an extreme and I despise how they actively, hatefully campaigned against other CW shows.

ReplyDeleteYou're right. I actually hesitated about leaving in that in there. I was trying to make a point, the point being that even though most people think that the BATB fandom is the most annoying of all, there are others out there just as bad, in my opinion, and yet still, we don't have to make ignorant comments. I didn't mean to offend that fandom, I just don't really know of any other fandom besides Supernatural that is as rabid as us Beasties, so I used them to make the point.

ReplyDeleteI'm one of the sad people that grew up watching the Perlman/Hamilton original, a show that was by far not good but had a sense of charme and magic around it.
This show is bland, terribly acted and lacks all that made the original good.
The fans are merely the icing on the cake
I wonder he got the ideas it got 22episodes?A costume designer tweeted in May it was 13 episodes and the fact it wasn't on the fall schedule means it didn't have a fall season,if it got a full 22episode season,it would've started in fall.I know of no shows with 22 episodes that didn't start in fall.

ReplyDeleteI hadnt heard anything other than the order being 13 episodes which was confirmed by someone who worked on the show. Given how late its likely to air (summer) a 22 episode order wouldnt make any sense.

ReplyDelete1) Just because it is in 15th place, doesn't mean it's not popular. It got almost 11k views and is still the 14th most viewed post from the 500+ posts we make each week.
2) OUAT was the 2nd most popular show this week on the site (http://www.spoilertv.com/2014/11/most-popular-shows-on-spoilertv-we-21st.html ), above TWD which has the most post on the "top posts" list.
3) Popularity on this site has nothing to do with the ratings of the show.
4) OUAT is doing great this year, ratings-wise, for ABC. Ratings are up from last year, and it's among ABC's highest rated dramas. So it's pretty safe and not getting cancelled.
5) "People don't watch... because they are mad" What is that all about? Mad about what? And like I said, ratings are up from last year.
So don't be afraid it will get cancelled, renewal is a surety for OUAT.
what a waste that would be! Its likely to air in the summer somewhere, I would say Friday but I actually think it would be a waste of a summer show.
ReplyDeleteOk slightly delusional. The 100 is ending early and being replaced by one the new shows. Something else is likely to move to accommodate the other new show in all likelihood. I would put my money on Reign at this stage. Beauty will air in the summer on what day we dont know but it will not be behind any new episodes of any of their current line up. They are not going to waste the post Arrow slot on Beauty.

ReplyDeleteIt wont be aired behind Arrow and even if it did do you really think it would help anyway. Beauty could air behind Flash and still only pull in a 0.3 and less than 1 million viewers. Its the show that is the problem not the scheduling.

Spoiler smart move but don't you get tired of the same comments all the time hating on one show or other. And Cancel Bear got banned here??? lol lol. What a joke he turned out to be with his ratings. By the way, BATB fans have move on to better places as not made feel welcome here and it was all for the better. Enjoy the hate while we at BATB fandom enjoy the love-:)
ReplyDeleteKoky, With any fandom you will have irritating fans but in fairness the majority of BATB fans who truly love the show do NOT behave badly. If you think about it, why comment here on a show you dislike and do not watch. The BATB fandom is huge but more international and not so much in US. I am British and love the show, as do many of my friends here in UK. I like a lot of the US/ Canada based shows and understand that not everyone will like the same show but don't understand why so much hate and hostility toward any fandom. Each to its own and watch what you want to watch and find one you enjoy. Here on Spoiler they ask for relevant and respectful comments, right? So many of the comments are not relevant, not respectful and not necessary and mostly toward BATB and it's very loyal fandom. It is probably a jealousy thing because nothing else make sense. So I suggest keeping an open mind and ask yourself again, why all the hostility toward the fans and show. The fans are constantly asking the same question. Hope hearing from the other side will help you keep an open mind. Cheers-:)
