He meant episode 10 of season 1 and season 2 was the weakest. This season they are trying some thing different to make that middle weak block stronger.
As usual John Campea annoys me. But I give him props for not sugarcoating his negative opinions about the show. Some good stuff in there. So Oliver is not going to be there in Starling city for at least two episodes. I hope it works out well for the show. It is a huge risk they are taking. I always love to hear how much protective Stephen is for Grant Gustin.
I know Stephen was joking but if Oliver has 4 million dollars with him why can't he buy a necklace for Digg's baby? Also I don't agree they need a crucible to give Diggle a mask. All they need to do is give him a military or swat team like tactical suit and a helmet/mask.. something like Slade Wilson had on island with lots of guns.
I don't think WB's press release about The Flash movie affected the popularity of Grant Gustin or The Flash tv show at all. Every where I saw people raving about the show and Grant.
I understand him... i watched the pilot and meeeehhh... But i didn't came back to it for one reason: the movies.
That show is very constrained by the movies, so what they can do is limited... they may want to do some stuff but they hit walls. That's why i want Arrow and Flash to be separate from the movie universe... I only want them to join if they do a Crisis of Infinite Earths kind of movie.
I agree they are constrained by movies. But by now they have created a mythology for themselves outside the movies which is interesting. I like Arrow better as I am passionate about the characters in Arrow. But AoS has become super entertaining this season.
That was very harsh especially since the show is really good but he didn't give it a chance. So he shouldn't judge and wish for it to be cancelled if he doesn't watch.
He is in general a prick and sexist. I dislike him a lot. He preens once he gets any prediction right. But this is a good After Show and the ladies are very insightful.
I appreciate honesty but that was borderline bullying.
I was wondering the same thing, he must have some money at least at his personal bank accounts but the way they were acting on the show made it look like he can't buy a necklace or a bed or pay for dinner with his sister BUT he has money to pay all his crusade's expenses, soooo which one is it?
I think WB used the huge reaction the Flash had to promote the movies.
I think the ladies were fangirling bit in today's after show. I dislike John campea a lot. Any time a woman except Moira cries on Arrow he calls them whiny. I like After buzz after show better. But they talk about shipping a lot and its more ladies pov.
hahahahah Yeah sure you know me I am always cursing left and right it's a disease with me lol I think the worst words I've ever used was jerk and damn lol no seriously I even read it like three times to make sure I didn't misspell something that sounded like a cursing word but there is nothing in the comment. It's weird.
A bit? They were fangirling hard I actually felt that Stephen was a little uncomfortable, I wanted to tweet them "easy girls he is just a human being like the rest of us" lol I didn't like him either some of the stuff he said made me cringe and I don't even like Laurel. I don't normally watch after shows but that sounds fun maybe I'll give it a try.
I have to say they are an exuberant bunch usually too. They have met Stephen a few times atleast John and Ann Campea has. It's not like it's their first meeting.
After shows and youtube reviews are fun. Most of these people are not up to date with spoilers like us so most of their predictions won't come true. But it is still fun to hear a different perspective. Also stream tv's Flash panel and Afterbuzztv's Flash and Arrow panel has comic book experts. So its fun to hear their opinions..
Sinca apparently you won't get a chance to read the comment, might as well ave some fun with it lol It was the most insightful and beautifully written comment to ever be in written in the history of commenting, words fail to describe the sophistication of the symbolism used in it, it was like a miniature Shakespeare play and now the world will never get to read it which is too bad because it would've changed the course of human understanding of literature, oh well next time. hahahahahahahah
I can't really agree with him, IMO the weakest episodes can't be found in the middle of season 2. Burned at least featured Firefly (somewhat) and had some pretty cool scenes. Meanwhile Time of Death and Birds of Prey are probably two of the weakest episodes to date. I would also really bite my tongue since this season is really not on par with the previous two. Wich is surprising because all odds should be pointing towards season 3 being a blast, for me at least, my favourite character is a main now, my least favourite actress got killed off, they're making Laurel more likable and gave Felicity a backstory....but somehow all this turned sour. I really don't care too much about Malcolm these days, I actually miss Sara (HOW?!), am semi-digging Laurels arc and Felicitys backstory was a cliche'd arc that was below Felicity (she should've gotten a better backstory IMO that wasn't fullfilling the classic ex-goth-hacker cliché.)
I somewhat agree with you. Apart from HttD and SS, episode 10 to 17 was pretty weak in season 2. Some liked Promise a lot, I did not. Blast Radius, BoP and ToD are all in contention for the worst episode.
The main difference I think between Season 2 and Season 3 as of now is First 10 episodes of season 2 was highly entertaining. I know they kind of dropped Laurel and Thea in the dust but even the generic villain episodes were very fun to watch with the introduction of Sara, LoA and Barry Allen. Whether you like or dislike Sara she is the best special recurring character of Arrow. She came off the bat fighting and with a rich mythology filled backstory.
Where as this season they are actually utilizing and giving chance to every one of their ensemble cast but somehow things have gotten boring. And I blame it on their mystery quest for Sara's killer. Every time when a suspect comes up we know they are not going to be the one. So the enthusiasm wanes to follow our heroes proving our theory. With Undertaking there was a sense of danger whenever Moira and Malcolm used to meet and we used to get new info and layers on the mystery every other episodes. Here in Sara's case nothing new is revealed about the killer till now except that he/she is an archer. It is boring. We have no idea what Malcolm's or Ray Palmer's plan is.
Characters are at a stand still from the point of the beginning of season except for Laurel.
John Campea is uncultured like that nothing new. Stephen is a good PR person. He does not get rattled by insults or gets defensive. He somewhat turns the conversation around to where he wants it to be.
The money and lawyer issues in this show is a joke. Last episode Laurel some how buried Ted Grant's crime 6 years before under statute of limitations. Let's not talk about it.
I don't follow movie news much so I can't speculate on their intentions but Grant never lost any lime light from him due to this press release.
He didn't annoy me... For me he had the balls to ask what most people feel to the lead actor. Especially about Laurel. I mean, i loved last night's episode but after how Laurel treated Felicity and, mostly, when she said "I'm not part of your team. I don't WORK for you." i was angry at the character... She was fast to call them when she was in danger. Believe me, i like what they're doing with her, how they're trying to fix her, but that commentary about Sara's friends and partners... the ones that were there to grief with her... I will just say i had feels on my tummy... bad feelings... Feelings i don't want to have because i want to accept her.
Well, the writers are making it hard... They need to stop doing her so arrogant and bitchy with the Team, it makes no sense... I try to damn hard to make a case for her, but they make it very dificult.
Well, they said there was gonna be a "hint" at the real killer. I think it was the height... Roy isn't tall and Thea isn't according to Marc. Sin is the only chaarcter that makes sense if it's a character we already know(My other choice would be Tommy).
After all, in the comics she was wanted by the league... coff, coff...
See comics!! I would be disappointed if such a fun character like Sin suddenly becomes Sara's killer. I still have a feeling Malcolm has a hand in everything happening in Starling City. He is pulling the strings somehow.
John Campea is not annoying me for asking that question. He annoys me because he can be a bit disrespectful and sexist in his talks. I don't like him but I like his show. I think the problem lies in both the writing and in the acting where Laurel is concerned.. Mostly writing.
If you read Arrow 2.5 comics during the summer hiatus Laurel is already coming and going through the foundry and she even has a meaningful scene with Diggle. That is 5 months of interactions between Laurel and members of Team Arrow however sporadic it may be. Yet when Laurel visits the foundry in the show it feels like she is a stranger to these people. A nod, a shared look anything would change the dynamics between these characters. Also dialogues like you said above and mentioning Arrow was her boyfriend. That's completely on writers.
I am going to be called a hater for this but the actress could soften these instances using a softer body language. Her stance in every scene from season 1 onwards is confrontational. There simply is no warmth conveyed by this character. For ex: The conversation with Ted Grant in the precinct should feel like something between friends but it felt like an interrogation with the folded hands and sharp tone. There was not much difference between this scene and the way she questioned the guy in the hospital room in episode "Sara" before breaking his arm. She already knew Ted is innocent she should act like his well wisher. This kind of stuff I blame on the actress. KC did some great work this season especially episode 2 and 3 but she needs to adjust her body language imo
Yes really and bc he believes it would get better lol. I love AOS and am bit annoyed that they are bound by MCU. but with the current hunt for the city i believe they are kinda steering away from the MCU but pretty sure come close to Avengers 2 they will tie two episodes into the film.
I don't follow movies' news either, I'm just guessing because the Flash was an immediate success so I'm guessing they wanted to take advantage of that knowing it wouldn't affect the Flash.
About Stephen being there, their general demeanour was over the top, not sure if it's because they are energetic and enthusiastic in general or if it is because of Stephen.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
interesting Amell say episode 10 is the weakest plus it looks like 10+ onward is special!
ReplyDeleteHe meant episode 10 of season 1 and season 2 was the weakest. This season they are trying some thing different to make that middle weak block stronger.
ReplyDeleteI know I just surprise that episode 10 of season 1 and 2 is weak so they obvious want to make the third time great
ReplyDeletewhat a jerk for saying that of SHIELD
ReplyDeleteHe only saw 3 episodes ivan. He was super disappointed and never gave the show another chance. This is not nothing new from him.
ReplyDeleteAs usual John Campea annoys me. But I give him props for not sugarcoating his negative opinions about the show. Some good stuff in there. ReplyDeleteI want to hear Amell talk, but this is super hard to sit through. These people are annoying.
ReplyDeleteHe is in general a prick and sexist. I dislike him a lot. He preens once he gets any prediction right. But this is a good After Show and the ladies are very insightful.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen him before and I didn't like him, yeah the ladies had some nice insights but they were a little too much sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate honesty but that was borderline bullying.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering the same thing, he must have some money at least at his personal bank accounts but the way they were acting on the show made it look like he can't buy a necklace or a bed or pay for dinner with his sister BUT he has money to pay all his crusade's expenses, soooo which one is it?

I wrote a reply but for some reason it needs spoilertv's approval!

I'm laughing at you. Lol
ReplyDeleteI knew you would get a kick out of it lol me accused of swearing! AH the irony hahahaha
ReplyDeleteI might check it then... I trust your judgement since you give good arguments about the shows. If you say it gets better i will check it out.
ReplyDeleteSinca apparently you won't get a chance to read the comment, might as well ave some fun with it lol

Dudes, I'm so f**king right about 3x10, 3x11 and 3x12 Jajaja My theory is SOOO gonna happen!
ReplyDeletePS: I'm gonna give another shot at this(I've been right with 3x01 and 3x02 and 3x04 so far): The one who killed Sara is Sin.
Hubbyyy... What else do you know. Tell.. Tell.. It would be a shame if Sin killed Sara. I wanted her to be a member when Laurel puts together BoP.
ReplyDeleteDude!!! Where is your comment? :( I was looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteFinally it appeared lol seriously what was wrong with it? Is there something I'm missing?

Love your After Shows especially Arrow and The Flash. Flash guys are really funny. Have you thought about doing an after show for The 100?
ReplyDeleteActually he confirmed he still watches on one of the episodes of Movie Talk.
ReplyDeleteOne of the ladies is married to that prick and sexiest lol
ReplyDeleteReally. Why the hell would he keep on watching something he detests so much..
ReplyDeleteYes really and bc he believes it would get better lol. I love AOS and am bit annoyed that they are bound by MCU. but with the current hunt for the city i believe they are kinda steering away from the MCU but pretty sure come close to Avengers 2 they will tie two episodes into the film.
ReplyDeleteI agree about Stephen, he is very clever.
ReplyDeleteSure let's not because it bothers me as well.
I don't follow movies' news either, I'm just guessing because the Flash was an immediate success so I'm guessing they wanted to take advantage of that knowing it wouldn't affect the Flash.
"fangirling" about what? i didnt watch it thats why im asking
