Agents of SHIELD - Episode 2.11 - Kathryn Leigh Scott to guest star

Nov 25, 2014

Kathryn Leigh Scott is set to appear on Marvel's AGENTS OF SHIELD in 2015. The DARK SHADOWS actress filmed her scenes earlier in November, but said she's not in a position to reveal many details about the episode.

"The show is so secretive that I was never given a script, only my dialogue!" Scott said. "I am going to respect their desire to keep the story a surprise ... besides, I can't provide a synopsis because I have no idea what the story is. My episode will air mid-season and I will supply more information as I get it."

Scott will appear on the mid-season premiere, set to air March 3, 2015.

  1. Damn, they have that shit locked down. Excited to see why it's so secretive and can't wait to find out who she's playing.

  2. why do i get this feeling like she's Ward's mother

  3. They are really keeping story lines and characters plots under wraps for this season so I suspect some very big stuff is yet to come. And we already had a lot of big stuff thrown at us in the first few episodes so far! Now that team has been reunited, Coulson has been returned to normal without alien goo taking over his dreams, we've officially met Skye's crazy dad and Fitz appears to be well on his way I suspect some huge drama is coming. So excited. I'm loving the pace and the secretive nature of this season.

  4. Ooh, interesting theory but I think they might be focusing more on Skye after the midseason finale reveal. I would love if you're right, though.

  5. We didn't see it happen so I'm not entirely convinced it did, tbh. Am 90% sure he faked their deaths as a way to infiltrate Hydra and take down Whitewall/see what Skye's biological father wants.

  6. She could be Ward's mom or could be a alien from the city that the team will find.

  7. Tbh I hope the senator is dead. The parents' death seemed random and I hope they are alive and now they can favor Grant as their best (only) son:D

  8. I hope she isn't Ward's mother, that entire story is so frigging boring and I hope its over with now.

  9. If she can do a scottish accent she might be Fitz's mom... I don't know why they would bring his mom on, but it's a theory... He's mentioned his mom more than once.

  10. Haha, I'm the exact opposite as you, 90% sure they actually died, but the fact that it was a little too random leaves me in doubt. These things where they don't show the body are always suspicious (maybe Michael Jackson is alive...)
The thing is, the reason Ward would want to fake there deaths makes perfect sense, but Christian has no reason to want to destroy his political career like that and I don't know what would motivate their parents to go along with such a ludicrous plan (to them at least).
But in a general sense I think it's crazier to believe that Ward actually managed to convince them to fake their deaths on the off chance that Whitehall would see the news report (or I guess it's inevitable that he'd look things up on the guy he's hiring and he'd end up seeing it), rather than killing them all.
The one thing I don't understand is : WHERE THE HELL IS THOMAS?!
If he's dead, they certainly made it seem like he didn't die at the well and if he's alive then why the fudge isn't anybody looking for him!

  11. I hope both Christian and the parents are still alive, because that's such an abrupt ending to a storyline that's been hinted since season 1, a stark contrast to how well paced Skye's parentage mystery has been developed so far.

  12. l have been imagining how Christian can spin helping his brother take down Hydra. That seems like it would be pretty beneficial for his political career once he resurfaces and he'd seemingly take the risk if that was the case.

Christian may have been a gaslighting abuser to his siblings and I don't like him but he was also really screwed up the Ward parents so I feel a little bad for him. I can see the hug between them as some sort of forgiveness, especially since they walked off holding onto each other.

Ugh, don't even talk to me about Hand always playing by the rules but breaks protocol for Ward to shoot Garrett. And no one once suspected him after the Clairvoyant reveal? Still seems weird to me.

And Eric letting Grant go after failing most of the lie detector test was absolute stupidity on his part and is what led to his murder so nice job there, Koenig.

Cannot wait for more emotional trauma! I hope the show doesn't disappoint me either. Like please address the fact that Garrett was physically and emotionally abusive to Grant soon (and kidnapped) and the fact that Lorelei raped him (still pissed they haven't brought that one up since it happened).

  13. LOL, they didn't even give her the script for the whole episode, just her scenes?! There better be some mind-blowing twists ahead to justify this insane level of secrecy.

  14. That's the second time I hear about this 'sister', can you tell me what episode she was mentioned?

    ReplyDelete
  15. In "Only Light in the Darkness", Ward is asked about his family during the lie detector test. He mentions his parents, two brothers, and a sister.

I think the abuse was way worse than has been shown so far and something may have happened to her, which is terrifying because that house sounds like it was hell to begin with.

  16. Ok, thanks :) I've been wondering.

  17. It's Marvel, that's a justification in and of itself.

  18. The thing is though, his sister might not be important, like Fitz's mom or Simmons' parents - and they've all been mentioned -, but Thomas IS important and he's directly involved in the story, I mean why deliberatley avoid confirming if he's dead or alive? The fact that they would never mention him in present tense is telling, maybe he is dead? But then why not say it?

  19. I really hope that she plays Gramsie! I want to see Grant's grandma!!

  20. It sounds like Thomas is alive because Christian says "nearly killed him down there". But they definitely need to show him so the gross victim blaming I'm still seeing can stop (if Christian had been lying to stop Grant, fandom, he wouldn't have gone into so much detail so stop). He may have been the favorite (why? I'm thinking he was the product of an affair Mama Ward had with someone she loved) but maybe he saw the abuse they all suffered.

God, we definitely need more info.

  21. If the sister doesn't have any relevance, why add her in the first place? The Ward family was big enough already with just Christian, Grant and Thomas, they didn't need to add a sister to the mix, but they did, so there has to be a reason.

In all honesty, I wasn't expecting them to truly delve into the Wards' family business in season 2A; too much was happening with Whitehall/Obelisk/Skye's father to properly deal with it. But then they had to present us a carrot in the form of a confrontation between Grant and Christian, giving us great expectation, only to take it away by unceremoniously killing not only Christian but also their parents for shock value (or so it seems). I don't disagree that Grant isn't capable of cold blood murder, but it feels like an underwhelming ending to a storyline I, and certainly many other Ward fans, have been waiting since season 1 and it's frustrating me to no end. I hope season 2B fixes this.

  22. Eh, Grant's grandmother would have to be at least a generation older than her. His elder brother is being played by a 51-year-old actor, after all. :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yeah, the sister has to be important in some way and I think they'll bring her in during 2B. And some therapy for Grant (once he rejoins the team after taking down Whitehall) would be extremely helpful too (actually the whole team needs some but he desperately needs it). They're taking an unusual, long road to redemption and I'm excited (but terrified) to see how this plays out.

And somebody please figure out Garrett was abusive soon because Grant hasn't and that's not good (and it's annoying me that the anti-Warders purposely ignore said kidnapping and abuse. It's extremely relevant to why he did what he did even though he is definitely still responsible for his actions).

  24. [SPOILERS]
So should we presume that she was the woman that the 'no-eyes' inhuman was on the phone with?

  25. Thinking tje same thing too.
