Benjamin Linus of course!
ReplyDeleteSherlock forever! Both shows have extraordinary Sherlocks! They just out of the competition and yet in it :)
ReplyDeleteRichard Castle he knows a bit about everything and what he does not know he researches.
ReplyDeletefrom the list: Olivia Dunham & Michael Scofield
ReplyDeleteFrom the list, I can't go past Greg House. Him and I are freakishly similar in the way we think.
ReplyDeleteFrom the current pool of shows, Sherlock Holmes from Elementary wins out for me.
Mal Reynolds :))
ReplyDeleteI chose Dana, but I have to say that I really don't like overbrilliant characters like Mr Mentalist.
ReplyDeleteSherlock! Also chose Walter Bishop and Michael Scofield!
ReplyDeleteAnd I have to add that I somehow don't like Brennan from Bones. She's far too overbearing with her opinions and it really made me dislike her and I stopped watching the show! :-/
Sherlock(Elementary)
ReplyDeleteHouse
Spencer(Criminal Minds)
and, of course
Mr. Finch(Person of Interest)
No one beats Michael on Prison Break
ReplyDeleteBoth Sherlock's, Ben Linus and Walter Bishop.
ReplyDeleteMichael Scofield, Benjamin Linus, and Walter Bishop for me.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your assessment of Brennan. I still watch the show because I like the other characters but she really rubs me the wrong way. Because of my strong disliking of her, I only DVR Bones if it doesn't conflict with other shows I watch. It's nice to know I"m not the only one who has a problem with her.
ReplyDeleteFrom this list: Sherlock Holmes - Elementary and Spencer Reid - Criminal Minds
ReplyDeleteOff this list: Harold Finch - Person of Interest, Ichabod Crane - Sleepy Hollow, Leonardo Da Vinci - Da Vinci's Demons, and Henry Morgan - Forever
I absolutely adore Spencer Reid.
ReplyDeleteBenjamin Linus, Walter Bishop and Sherlock.. Honourable mention to Gregory House.
ReplyDeleteSpencer Reid and Michael Scofield. I love brains, in a not zombie way.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Reid.
ReplyDeleteOff the list? Charlie Eppes from Numb3rs and Lloyd Lowery from Breakout Kings.
Other:
ReplyDeleteNolan (Revenge)
Felicity (Arrow)
Sheldon and Amy (The Big Bang Theory)
Astrid (Fringe)
Jane (The Mentalist)
Elsbeth Tascioni (The Good Wife)
From the List:
Michael Scofield (Prison Break)
Sherlock (Elementary)
Dana Scully and Gregory House
ReplyDeleteBen linus from LOST......period!!
ReplyDeleteNot alone, I stopped watching several years ago, got tired of her being "brilliant" yet so clueless about every thing else. Cute the first few years then got old.
ReplyDeleteFrom the list, Michael & Ben, off list Harold Finch from POI.
ReplyDeleteHow could they leave out Harold Finch! He's definitely one of my favorites, along with Brennan from Bones and Walter Bishop from Fringe!
ReplyDeleteBen from LOST off of this list, but.....
ReplyDeleteI would also add Dr. Tony Hill from Wire in the Blood. Robson Green at his best!
Absolutely agree with you guys @rehabber and @Mel!
ReplyDeleteIt can only be a novelty for a while but even after 8 seasons, her attitude towards others who don't hold the same opinion as her ... almost dismissing them as they don't matter or are stupid ... it really got to me and I was only watching the show for David Boreanz and the criminal procedures in the first place!
Glad to know I'm not alone! =P
Gregory House, first and for most, Temperance Brennan, Dana Scully, then Walter & Olivia From Fringe, I'd like to add this is a very good poll, I know my votes are up but Of course Reed from Criminal Minds!!!!
ReplyDeleteHouse, Reid, and Sherlock. Wonder why Gideon is there, heh.
ReplyDeleteBrennan is the reason I could not watch Bones. She has never been a sympathetic even likeable character for me. As an avid Angel fan, I wanted to support all things David Boreanaz but I just couldn't.
ReplyDeleteBen Linus, Walter Bishop and Sherlock (Jonny Lee).
ReplyDeleteList: Walter (Fringe) and House (House)
ReplyDeleteOthers: Finch, Root and Elias (POI), Sherlock (Sherlock BBC), Hannibal and Will (Hannibal), Sheldon (TBBT).
House / Scully / Olivia
ReplyDeletePlus: David Rossi (CM), Red Reddington (The Blacklist), Ryan Hardy (The Following), Jane & Lisbon (The Mentalist), Lisa Cuddy (House), Emily Thorne (Revenge), Reese & Finch (POI) ...
Gideon, IMO, had one of the best analytical minds on TV at the time.
ReplyDeleteGaius Baltar, Walter Bishop, Benjamin Linus, and Olivia Dunham
ReplyDeleteYou're absolutely right but, for me anyway, he was too confident and not a real team-man . Since Emily and Rossi (except when he came back), they're all part of a "family" and a real team, with Gideon I hadn't that impression except his relation with Reid : )
ReplyDelete1) MacGyver - MacGyver (I can't believe no one had this one...........am I really that old?)
ReplyDelete2) Jordie LaForge - Star Trek:TNG (Jordie could do anything, especially when teamed up with his "BFF", Data. But he couldn't get the "girl" if he was put in............fill in the blank..............!)
3) Dr. Lauren Lewis - Lost Girl (according to Bo she is the smartest person in the universe and she always saves the day!)
4) Will Graham - Hannibal (Will has a extraordinary talent with a unfortunate down/dark side)
5) Dr. Hannibal Lecter - Hannibal (Hi Q maniac and master manipulator)
Nobody 4 NOW!!!
Was this regulated to just dramas? Where's Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory?
ReplyDeleteSherlock and Walter Bishop for me, because they're both so smart that almost no one can understand them. I also love their sense of humor though Sherlock's is definitely more cutting than Walter's. And of course to top it off, they're both played by incredible actors (Cumberbatch and Noble).
ReplyDeleteOh yes MacGyver !! Great !! (Remembering my childhood :-) )
ReplyDeleteYou and me both :). Heck, I'd add Garcia and Emily in there, too-they may not have 187 IQs, but they're both pretty nerdy in their own right.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with the mention of Ichabod Crane in the post above yours.
From the list: Sherlock (Elementary) and Walter and Olivia (Fringe).
ReplyDeleteOther: Finch (Person of Interest), Henry (Forever), and Jane (The Mentalist).
I miss Charlie Eppes, I've been rewatching Numb3rs, it was quite good.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, but some of his decisions were definitely not that bright.
ReplyDeleteSheldon of Course!
ReplyDeleteSherlock (Sherlock) and Nolan (Revenge)
ReplyDeleteNot intentionally. I don't watch sitcoms so I have no idea if Sheldon is brilliant or not. That's what the Other option is for. Characters you believe are brilliant.
ReplyDeleteGregory House, Walter Bishop, and Other - Harold Finch!
ReplyDeleteWalter O'Brien needed in list.
ReplyDeleteI love Olivia but she is not brilliant.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Nolan Ross should've been an option.
I would also be at fault if I didn't say Alex Blake (Criminal Minds), considering she's my favourite character.
ReplyDeleteOMG I forgot Emily Prentiss who was my favourite : (
ReplyDeleteYeah, it became ridiculous, isn't it ?
ReplyDeleteAnd the worst part is, when you watch the first seasons of the show, Brennan is way worse now than she was before. She was still, well Brennan (for a lack of a better word) but she wasn't all that clueless and she was capable of accepting her "faults". I can bearly bear the Brennan from the last seasons.
The Brennan from before was more balanced. But the Brennan from now is just unbearable.
And Blake!!! :D
ReplyDeleteOoh. Yes. Her, too. Absolutely :).
