No mystery here: CBS’ crime drama Unforgettable won’t be returning for a fourth season.
The network officially confirmed the news Friday, following the end of the drama’s third season on Sept. 14.
I felt that this was a deserved one..... Something in its reboot was kinda off. Storylines needed to be more relevant and better execution. The writers totally sunk this ship.
The first season was my favorite. Lots of characters and different situations. After the move to summer and gutting most of the cast, it just didn't seem the same.
Ya, I was hoping to get some answers on that. I suppose we could try asking the writers and show runners (or whoever else might know). Or we could just wildly speculate! But I'm glad there was no live-or-death type of cliffhanger. I hate it when that happens. But hey! It survived cancellation once! What's to say it won't happen again? Maybe it can find a home on a different channel...
Let's us thank that Nielsen Rating for their screw up in giving bad ratings lol. I wanna see the look on Nina Tessler face when they get the right numbers for the show and turns out it was great.
Flaws for me were the obvious theme of trying to keep Al and Carrie away from each other S2 on wards. not that I wanted them to be together, but that theme just couldn't work for them. When it doesn't fit their character. The end scene each episode were so hard to watch... so awkward.
S3 pretty much ended in a alright ending where you can guess the outcome.
Last episode plot was sort bleh for me I hate plot devices that target the leads Skill on purpose just for the drama in any show, and having this for the last episode made it worse. The Husband is nothing, another plot device for 1 episode. If they planned to do it longer the Writers are truly idiots. For the last 3 plus years Carrie didn't give squat about him to even be mentioned, and they were gonna tell me once she saw him it will be all sparks again and cause more problem. BS.
any who, time to move on to the next show. Watchers gotta keep on watching.
Yeah, not surprised, the reboot really did muck things up. Bland supporting characters with no kick nor a catching storyline, and having the team in one of them TV-standard-high-tech-crime-units made it fade even further in the sea of procedurals, not to mention being rather redundant, the show had a lot of gimmick room with Carrie's abilities already.
Also, one of the main hooks for me in the first season was exactly the plot line they dropped cold in the reboot, the murder of Carrie' sister. There was no overarching plot to tie the episodes after that, or no real point of tension for Carrie (not even her relationship with Al had any give anymore). I kept watching sporadically just 'cause of Poppy's charisma with Carrie's character, but that alone couldn't carry this show.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
No. :(
ReplyDeleteWell, it was nice not knowing you, Carrie's husband.
ReplyDeleteso they left the season on a cliffhanger..........the rating were fine for a sunday summer show......
ReplyDeleteWhat! I love this show
ReplyDeleteBummer!
ReplyDeleteWow CBS picking up its two sci-fi shows and canceling two crime/legal dramas? Wow what world did I wake up in? lol. Maybe don't wake me up.
ReplyDelete:(
ReplyDeleteCBS have forgotten it already (too soon?)
Aww no. I really liked this show :(
ReplyDeleteWhatever CBS..
ReplyDeleteThe show grew on me, I'm rather sad to see it go...
ReplyDeleteWhich is the other show cancelled?
ReplyDeleteI'm just referring to Reckless being canceled yesterday. :)

I thought it made a good summer show. Too bad.

ReplyDeleteI didn't watch the show, but I would've thought that this did better as a summer show than Under the Dome/Extant.... bummer for the fans
ReplyDeleteNot Unexpected.

I like the show, but I don't watch a quite some time, but still sad news.
ReplyDeleteSo, when is it getting uncancelled?
ReplyDeleteI'm totally heartbroken about this, loved Unforgettable. It was one of my favorite shows. CBS are absolutely stupid for cancelling it.
ReplyDeleteOh no! I really liked that show!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sad :( I loved this show!!!
ReplyDeleteSad for the fans, maybe they keep Stalker, even though it is not that great.
ReplyDeleteI'm still mad at CBS for axing Moonlight.
ReplyDeleteDo not get it : Extant renewed and Unforgettable cancelled
