HBO has mostly locked down their leads for Season 2 of “True Detective,” and now they're moving onto casting supporting and recurring roles around Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn and Taylor Kitsch.
Michael Irby, Kelly Reilly, Abigail Spencer and Leven Rambin are all signing on for heavily recurring roles on the second season of HBO's hit drama, an individual with knowledge of the casting told TheWrap.

I'm so glad for Kelly Reilly!
ReplyDeleteI'm still not over the cancellation of Black Box even though we all saw it coming.
Abigail is so good in Rectify (which everyone should so watch) I look forward to her in this.
ReplyDeleteyay blahblah!
ReplyDeleteWow some huge names. The cast sounds good, lets see how the show will look!
ReplyDeleteAnother chance to see Abigail naked?
ReplyDeleteNot gonna lie I hated that show.
ReplyDeleteHell yes! Abigail Spencer is brilliant in Rectify so i'm sure she's gonna be great in this as well.
ReplyDeleteisn't there suppose to be a female detective?
ReplyDeleteThat role has yet to be cast.
ReplyDeleteI love Abigail! Don't steal her completely away from Rectify tho, that show is great!
ReplyDeleteYeah..
ReplyDeleteI could not even get through the pilot!
I just barely did.
ReplyDeleteThe promos were enough for me.
ReplyDeleteThat`s mean :P
ReplyDeleteNothing to worry about pal. Series is filming early 2015. Looks like Spencer will do like 5-6 episodes like Irby.
ReplyDeleteYep, that's why it was cancelled.. But I don't know, it had that thing other medical shows didn't have.
ReplyDeleteI was not a fan of teh promos either, but I quite enjoyed Reilly on Above Suspicion so I wanted to check it out... Ooops. XD
ReplyDeleteThat`s some good supporting actors. Especially Reilly and Spencer, also Irby is a good pick.
ReplyDeleteSpencer is playing a victim of rape, that`s also Ray`s (Farrell) ex-wife. I think she could do that role well because of what i have seen in Rectify. Looks also like Reilly is playing Frank`s (Vaughn) wife.
Great. Thanks for the info :)
ReplyDeleteVery strong cast. I'm glad they're going for lesser known names. The show will give each of them a much needed career bump.
