The Bamon thing going on is the only reason why I want to watch the show again. I can't stop seeing stuff about them and I love this dynamic, it's refreshing.
I surely hope so. There was always some intensity in their scenes. Strangely they fit well together. Will be nice to see them interact back in MF. But I assume it will be like Dair in GG, give us great chemistry than hook up and hope and than Chair I mean Delena again.
It was but I'm pretty sure they weren't together when the series ended. I would be beyond amazed if they hooked Bonnie and Damon up for real in the show. Kat and Ian want it; Give them what they want, LOL!!
I don't think so. I enjoy watching their scenes but I don't think it will turn romantic and I don't really want it to - Damon is always going to pick Elena so as soon as Elena is back in the picture we'll be right back to that.
OK....but they don't actually HATE each other. Would you spend 4 months with someone you hate, living in the same house, having meals together?? I mean they clearly established Bonnie could go back and forth from her house; she could live there if she really wanted to. And there's this whole long spiel I could go into where they do respect and trust each when it comes to certain things but I won't go into it ; )
Might so I guess the last 3 years of Damon causing emotional pain and distress to Bonnie and her hateful, cold attitude towards him was all a lie. No she doesn't like him much. Not should she Damon's selfish, murderous and cruel and has done awful horrible things.
Then it's exactly the same as Dair on GG. Some fans don't care about little things like a storyline making sense for a character - they just want two hot people to kiss on-screen regardless of what damage it does to the character. There's no way Bonnie and Damon (or Dan and Blair) would ever see each other in a romantic way, but that doesn't stop some fans from wanting it. DB happened and ruined those two - let's hope TVD writers don't do the same to Damon and Bonnie. Lord knows they've already ruined Elena through hook-ups and OOC nonsense.
To be honest, I've been subconsciously shipping them ever since that hug in the island when Bonnie was missing and Damon was looking for her so they could leave. Also, their banter is amazing.
Nope. They pretty much fired her because she likes Bonnie. Here's an extract from letter she wrote to a fan explaining:
" In Midnight, I had to fight to keep many Bonnie scenes in the book. I’m not at all sure they liked the things I was doing with Bonnie and Damon—they kept trying to cut such scenes. And of course they didn’t like Elena’s behavior at all. They want strictly Stelena books.
I have said this to another Bamon fan, and I’ll say it now. I had so many plans for Bonnie in The Hunters trilogy. First of all, in Phantom, I had her showing a lot more emotion, grieving right along side Elena because—well, because Damon does something almost unbelievable for Bonnie in Midnight and he doesn’t get out unscathed. I won’t spoil it if you don’t know. But they wanted Bonnie to have just put it all behind her—and with Bonnie’s character, I don’t think so! She is always completely openhearted with her emotions; even though she has matured so much in Midnight, she’s still Bonnie, who says exactly what she thinks, even if she hasn’t had a dose of Black Magic wine.
I wanted to write Moonsong, and give Bonnie an admirer who is just as sweet and even more naïve than she is—a pure white wolf with radiant blue eyes, who happens to be a werewolf with moonlight colored hair and the same blue eyes when he’s human. I wanted to show Damon’s surprising reaction to Xander the good werewolf (not at all happy about it—so much that he “accidentally” almost kills the poor innocent wolf) .
I also wanted to show how Damon rescues Bonnie from a vicious wolf-pack attack, and then let her fly away with him. And I wanted to show how Bonnie, who knows a little medicine from her sister Mary, helps Damon deliver Caroline’s twin babies when she goes into labor deep in the woods. But that’s one scene that I would have had to fight tooth and nail for, because even the glow that Damon and Bonnie share at seeing new life come into the world wouldn’t be enough for them to call it decent. They would undoubtedly have tried to make me cut it. But I still want to write it, so badly.
I even had the last book in that trilogy plotted out, where Stefan’s worst nightmare comes true and he takes so much blood from Elena that has to be taken to the hospital for a massive transfusion. He then decides to Influence Elena so hat she will forget his existence, and he does so, to Damon and Bonnie and Meredith’s consternation. I wanted to show how this affected each one of the characters, and how Bonnie once again begins to write in her diary, since Elena’s diary is also forgotten, along with Stefan. I like to write things from Bonnie’s point of view, as I did in Dark Reunion. But none of these things will happen, beause I won’t be around to write it. And I just can’t keep up the pretense any long with wonderful fans like you. I can’t pretend that Bonnie and Damon’s relationship will continue to grow as Damon learns to respect her as well as to love her. She has become “his girl” but I can’t follow up on that. I had to tell the ghostwriter that he would address Bonnie as “little redbird” when he speaks to her."
Sorry, that's so long. But, see, they even gave the Stelena memory-thing to Delena in the show. Bonnie is a huge character in the books, entire books are written from her perspective.
This was funny. And yeah the nicknaming is Damon's thing. Can't really blame her for trying it though, she's been stuck with him for 4 months, she was bound to pick up his traits. And wtf they can go food shopping??? That little detail just made their storyline more interesting. Wtf!! Lol this is bugging me. Okkk Next clip! Please be something interesting. Cough* Steroline cough*
Dare I say that Bonnie is tolerable this season? Enjoying this Bamon stuff so far, not into them as a romantic pairing but it's good to see them in a different situation and hopefully Bonnie continues being less annoying!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Bamon is very strangely good.
ReplyDeleteOh God I like their banter. Crap they're gonna have sex, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteI love Damon scenes, period
ReplyDeleteOh man I haven't watched TVD since mid season 2, but if Bamon is happening, count me IN. I always used to love their interactions.
ReplyDeleteBamon is the only thing this show has going for it this season.
ReplyDeleteI love Bamon. Their scenes are the best ones of the show and they are so funny...

ReplyDeletelol
ReplyDeleteWasn't Bamon a thing in the books? Maybe they're bringing it into the show as well? I wouldn't mind, even though I'm a Delena fan ;)
ReplyDeleteIt was but I'm pretty sure they weren't together when the series ended. I would be beyond amazed if they hooked Bonnie and Damon up for real in the show. Kat and Ian want it; Give them what they want, LOL!!
ReplyDeleteYou know, the more I think about it the more I like the idea. I could see it work.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Kat and Ian wanted it to happen though! That's pretty awesome haha ;P
It was, but so was Steroline. In the books Stefan dated Caroline before he got with Elena and they skipped that.
ReplyDeleteI don't think so. I enjoy watching their scenes but I don't think it will turn romantic and I don't really want it to - Damon is always going to pick Elena so as soon as Elena is back in the picture we'll be right back to that.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're right, hell you probably are, but Julie Plec's obsession with love triangles and romantic pairings has made me paranoid.
ReplyDeleteBut that makes no sense. They hate eachother. And it would be really OOC
ReplyDeleteOK....but they don't actually HATE each other. Would you spend 4 months with someone you hate, living in the same house, having meals together?? I mean they clearly established Bonnie could go back and forth from her house; she could live there if she really wanted to.

LJ Smith (original author of the series) intended for Stelena and Bamon to be endgame.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but not in a nice way. He was basically just using her to keep him distracted from Elena. Huge fan of show-Steroline, though.
ReplyDeleteMight so I guess the last 3 years of Damon causing emotional pain and distress to Bonnie and her hateful, cold attitude towards him was all a lie. No she doesn't like him much. Not should she Damon's selfish, murderous and cruel and has done awful horrible things.
ReplyDeleteIt's more of a together out of lack of other options.
ReplyDeletedamon wearing flannel is going to get some getting used too lol, i can't believe that it took 6 years but i finally like bonnie

ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure she got fired from continuing her own series because she wanted to make DE endgame.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I've been subconsciously shipping them ever since that hug in the island when Bonnie was missing and Damon was looking for her so they could leave. Also, their banter is amazing.

ReplyDeleteDef not.
ReplyDeleteI know. I'm just paranoid.
ReplyDeletebe paranoid it was canon in the books
ReplyDeleteLedbetter must want them alive otherwise why would he give them technology, food and everything they need to survive, probably blood too right
ReplyDelete(Virtual slap in the face, like Cher) "Snap put of it!" = p
ReplyDelete(Shakes head) "Thanks I needed that"
