no, they released Rebekah/Elijah/Meredith stills for TVDs fourth season as well and neither of them was a regular at that time. Sebastian is expected to heavily recur this season, maybe he'll get promoted for season 3
I love Mikael but the show has to end with his death, I'm talking the show, not the season. He's the ultimate enemy for Klaus/Elijah, he made them who they are. Esther made them vampires but the way Mikael raised them made them into monsters.
Klaus giving his life to destroy Mikael would be a briliant end to TO
(kinda thinking the same about Arrow, the show needs to end with Merlyn biting it)
They have plenty possibilities there, but I want that the move to keep him around is logical not forces. But lets see where his current story will go and than we can look further.
I'm not a fan of the trio either but new Finn is quite solid, much more likeable than the Original one. I'm really interested to see where the show will go with all these resurrected people.
The actor currently playing Finn (Yusuf Gatewood) has done a really good job. I like his portrayal of the character better than the original guy. My problem is that the same traits, views, and personality are inherent in the character no matter who is playing him. So, not being a fan of the character, I still want him gone in spite of Gatewood's performance. I do hope that this role will lead to other good TV roles for Gatewood though because he seems like a talented guy.
Yusuf proofed himself to be good! I hope his character will have a good exit. I assume he'll be gone by mid-season, cause TheOriginals usually aren't stalling!
Doubtful his sole reason to exist is to kill Klaus. Unless they somehow mellow his temperament a little bit, you can't have a character that intense or direct and focused in a goal like that stay long.
well no sh*t Graydon :P Cared for Oliver, Diggle and Felicity but they lost me the second they forced that romance on me and Diggle was degraded to "bystander #3"
Now the only main characters I'm left liking are Merlyn, Lance and Thea. And Merlyn is the only one of these guys using a bow so.....
Yes that romance that right now is completely dead. I guess that means Oliver and Felicity completely suck ass in any other scene. Seriously Mac, even for you that's extreme. Oliver was great last night.
the romantic angle that was shoved on me during the hiatus through promotional material. One can only accept so much until he has to puke up the crap he is fed. I can't help it, whenever I see Felicity and Oliver these days I can't help but see the aspect that destroyed my excitement for season 3. It's unreasonable, yes. But what should I do about it? Force myself to care for Oliver and Felicity again? All I'm left doing is enjoy the little snarky Felicity moments. Oliver has lost me completely though
I don't dislike Diggle btw. only dislike the minimalistic presence he's given. Roy and him are always there but are given little focus and that makes me pretty damn furious.
What should I do? Make myself like these characters again?
Merlyn, Lance and Thea are enough to hold me on Arrow and I'm objective enough to write my thoughts down in a mild mannered way (not in the comments but my episode summaries after each episode) I'm also not too hot on Barry and Cisco on The Flash, meanwhile Caitlin, Joe, Eddie and Wells are keeping me interested.
If there's something Arrow/Flash is doing right it's the villains. Wells, Merlyn, Nyssa, Captain Cold, Vertigo and Slade are villains that simply keep me more engaged than the heroes. I'm ususally rooting for the good guys on TV (Ichabod, Elijah, Stefan, Coulson, Henry/Jo, Buffy, Angel, Jack etc.) but in this universe the villains are more intriguing than the heroes.
TO just managed to bring in a villain that I actually like as he's completely iredeemable and not whiny (like Klaus). So I enjoy him while he lasts and he has a good shot to last longer than expected.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
does that mean his a regular?
ReplyDeleteWhy are they releasing this one so long after all the others?
ReplyDeleteIs that an ouroborous? I wonder what the daisies mean?
ReplyDeleteWould love for Mikael to stick around but don't think it will happen, don't see how. Only if he gets linked to one of his children.
ReplyDeleteno, they released Rebekah/Elijah/Meredith stills for TVDs fourth season as well and neither of them was a regular at that time.

I'm okay with Mikael sticking around but only if he kills Esther and Finn. Kol can live but he has to go away and never come back.
ReplyDeletewhy not? If anyone can stick around and deliver a fantastic fight against the brothers it's him. He may not win but he's perfect as a danger element.
ReplyDeleteAlso they could take the cosmic joke element and enslave Mikael to Klaus the way they did it for Davina.
I could see season 3 kicking off with Mikael locked up in the attic under Klaus' control...this would be hillarious and brilliant

I can see what you're saying with Mikael but Merlyn just isn't that important or interesting.

ReplyDeleteNot sunflowers?
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of the trio either but new Finn is quite solid, much more likeable than the Original one. I'm really interested to see where the show will go with all these resurrected people.
ReplyDeleteThe poster is good but sunflowers?Really?Someone can explain to me the meaning of that ?I think it's just ridiculous.

ReplyDeletelove Yussuf but Sharman needs to get lost

ReplyDeletethere's always a spell to bind Mikael to Klaus
ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised. Given all your comments on Arrow characters.
ReplyDeleteThat'd be cool. But no way Klaus would willing not kill him next time they meet.
ReplyDeletewell no sh*t Graydon :P

I agree, that said he's the nemisis
bind his life to Mikael and Mikaels to Klaus. One couldn't live without the other...oh, what suffering I could put Klaus through
ReplyDeleteYes that romance that right now is completely dead. I guess that means Oliver and Felicity completely suck ass in any other scene. Seriously Mac, even for you that's extreme. Oliver was great last night.
ReplyDeleteThat would get really goddamn old really fast though.
ReplyDeleteThat's no reason to dislike Diggle though. That's on the writers' use of him, not the characterization.
ReplyDeleteThat's one of my biggest problems with TVD and TO, they can't slowly build plots or unwind them at all.
ReplyDeletethe romantic angle that was shoved on me during the hiatus through promotional material. One can only accept so much until he has to puke up the crap he is fed.

think about it logistically: why would they pay Roché for the photoshoot if he wouldn't recur heavily on the show?
I can't disagree more about Arrows' heroes not being able to cheer for them. I love those characters. Even Roy I like this season.
ReplyDeleteKinda killed the badassery with sunflowers. Wtf? = /
ReplyDeleteThey already did that on TVD - they killed off Mikael and Klaus didn't improve at all he still had all the same issues. No need to repeat it again.
ReplyDeleteEven with ad blocker disabled I can't open these images. I hate the stupid coding on this website.
