Well, they need to make Oliver better at something... Yes, Barry can dodge his arrows, but the moment he comes near him, it's Oliver who has the upper hand.
The producers said on the crossover there will be a phisycal confrontation(and for the spoilers pics of Oliver chocking Barry, it seems The Arrow wins the first round.) and if he could fight there is nothing Oliver can do to stop him.
Oliver could tell him about all the times he doubted himself, wanted to give up or just plain ran away for several months. But in this case, I think he needs Joe's approval. And Oliver has to be Barry's equal somehow, so him being a trained fighter gives him the edge.
Okay. But being trained a few times by Oliver wouldn't make him better anyway. He'd still lack Oliver's experience, mindset and archery abilities and overall prowess.
Oliver's great and all but when Barry learns the full extent of his powers there is no way he could ever hope to equal him. Unless he just Batman's it and uses better tactics and technology, electricity, etc.
Once Barry taps into the Speed Force, it should be game over. But I'm sure like with Batman, they'll find a way for Oliver to still be his match, maybe like you said, using tactics and technology like Batman.
One thing i noticed on the season 3 premiere was the inclusion of gadgets, aka Green Arrow's expanding bow and a lot of new arrows.
Well, Flash is going to be downpowered on the show... When people talk about a batman show i always say the same: "we have a Batman, it's Arrow" and Flash is going to be the TV version of Superman, what he stands for.
Oliver's speech to Barry on the premiere was incredible similar to an iconic speech Batman gives to Superman(He will always be a vigilante in the shadows, but Clark can be a symbol of hope).
So we are going to see a lot of tech advancement on Arrow... Tech and strategy(remember that Batman is the greatest detective and gadget maker alone) by Felicity and Diggle: the two of them complete Oliver and makes him a match for Bruce Wayne.
So to answear your question: yep, it's going to be super speed vs tech(made by Felicity), strategy(thought by Diggle) and skills(Oliver's strenghts).
Barry doesn't need to be trained by Oliver, though. What he needs to do is hone in on his own abilities because he punches could become deadly with the Speed Force(called the "infinite mass punch").
But Zoom will have those abilities though, and he will most likely rely on his abilities in fighting Barry. Once Barry tests his limits, any rematch with Zoom should be on equal grounding.
i don't get why wells needs to hide that not paralyzed it's not that big of a deal that he wasn't hurt, i still think that's he's barry from the future
Very good sneak peek. Now the question here is will we see maybe some kind of early Justice League crew or maybe just helping crew with a few meta-humans in his team to help him out in the future?
Oh, no! I wasn't implying that! I meant that the producers wanted to make him the most Bruce Wayne-esque that they could without changing his character too much: that's why Felicity and Diggle are there, one handles the tech and the other the tactics.
In concept Oliver only has skills, so he needs Felicity and Diggle to complete that concept.
I wasn't talking about a match against Batman VS Green Arrow... Batman would beat the crap out of him Jajajaja
But i see why you thought that... English isn't my first language, so sometimes i express myself in the worng way.
Most of the tech used against The Flash is normally in disorientation area or are traps he runs into like ice, so he looses balance, Electricity doesn't effect him at high speeds, so It would have to used when he is at normal speed, the most effect take down with Flash at speed was Black Canary's subsonic cry, it made The Flash crash as he wasn't able to avoid the pulse waves and the noise waves disorientated him. Batman thinks of all the possible out comes of a fight. DC once described the difference between Batman and GA as Batman is chess and the Green Arrow is checkers.
Very apt description of the two. Unfortunately I don't think Laurel will get the cry any time soon. Oliver can probably just get something from Palmer, or Argus.
I don't think they will use the IMP just yet and if they do it will be a watered down version as the IMP is pretty much described as the Ultimate DC finisher.
Then they could mind freak everyone have Tom Welling show as Superman and have the Infinite Crisis as a reboot storyline for the Different CW green arrows.
The IMP is hard to measure, at any strength its one bad ass move, A move that can take down Supes in one punch or send sometime in time just by the force of impact is pretty sweet.
Also bringing in Vibe would be a good options with his sonic waves.
Indeed the IMP would be hard to measure, but I could see it being "weakened" to the point that it could be use on the series without being so deadly, or without being such a deadly force that could kill on impact. I'd always imagine Zoom knowing full well what his abilities are and him really hurting Barry if he ever used such a punch.
And Vibe, I think he could be pretty interesting once he starts showing his powers. I really hope we get to see Vibe as both an ally and an enemy because he could be interesting on either side of the fence.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
If only he could get training from Oliver.

It makes sense... They leveled the field.
Oliver could tell him about all the times he doubted himself, wanted to give up or just plain ran away for several months. But in this case, I think he needs Joe's approval. And Oliver has to be Barry's equal somehow, so him being a trained fighter gives him the edge.

ReplyDeletesound like Barry is having identity crisis as he want to be a hero but he can't do it? very similar to Oliver in season 2
ReplyDeleteOnce Barry taps into the Speed Force, it should be game over. But I'm sure like with Batman, they'll find a way for Oliver to still be his match, maybe like you said, using tactics and technology like Batman.

That's what i think... xD

ReplyDeleteHe could Tower of Babel it and take advantage of his speed and use modified bullet to make him experience very fast seizures.
ReplyDeleteI'm well aware of the ability's power. Doesn't hurt though if he could fight, say for example when Zoom arrives.
ReplyDeleteIt's only because Joe is making him doubt himself.
ReplyDeletetechnically zoom already arrived
ReplyDeleteBut Zoom will have those abilities though, and he will most likely rely on his abilities in fighting Barry. Once Barry tests his limits, any rematch with Zoom should be on equal grounding.
ReplyDeleteLol no I'm sorry but he's no match for Bruce Wayne. Not only is he a much, much better fighter, he's smarter, better tactically, has better tech.
ReplyDeleteTrue but training would give him the extra push needed.
ReplyDeletei don't get why wells needs to hide that not paralyzed it's not that big of a deal that he wasn't hurt, i still think that's he's barry from the future
ReplyDeleteI had to look up your reference. Ouch. I hope he doesn't.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I definitely get a Bruce-Clark vibe from them and it definitely sounds plausible that Oliver will be using gadgets to get the edge on Barry.

No worries man. Yeah I get what you mean, and agree.
ReplyDeleteYeah that'd be messed up. More likely he'll just use trick arrows. Maybe electricity.
ReplyDeleteGood point. I wonder if they'll ever have him kill Zoom like in the comics.

ReplyDeleteIt would be good for that to lead into the Black Flash for the following season.

ReplyDeleteYeah, trick arrows/electricity works.
