It's similar to how True Detective told its story with the characters being interrogated and talking about the past. I like the dual perspectives and that they have minuscule but crucial differences.
I think it was interesting - the dual perspective does allow for a more interesting execution of the narrative. The womans perspective however comes off as slightly unreliable in comparisons to the guy. Probably for a plethora of reasons and deliberate on the writers part - she is shown as an unstable character thus an unstable reality is likely and her version of events comes second when viewers have already built sympathies with the main guy. It will be interesting to see how the season pans out and what they appear to be in questioning for. Possible murder of Cole as a theory. All in all i quire enjoyed it though the theme is very depressing.
I turned it off after the first 5 minutes when i saw it was "EDITED"....WTF...i will wait till Sun and watch it on SHO....they Blurred all the body parts and even Bleeped out the "Shits"...WTF...u cant watch it like that...
I loved it! The he said/she said parallel storylines were really interesting. Always loved Dominic and Maura and they were superb. I loved how they weaved in the interrogations into the storyline. His family seems functional in a dysfunctional way which I loved. Flawed characters are so much more interesting to watch. Cheating is never ok in my book though so it will be interesting for me to see if I'll still side with Noah as things escalate. And I wonder if we'll ever learn the unbiased truth!?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I would be glad if someone posts how it is... I'm still not sure if i'm going to watch it or not
