    wouldn't that make the whole hunt a waste of time, Dean could go kill all the baddies and Sam could just stay at the bunker? It would make for a very quick episode

    This is Carver's SPN, Sam is always going to be in 'the backseat', lets be thankful if he makes it through the episode without being knocked out just so Dean can have some alone time with guest star of the moment

    Not practical If we had Dean has a 'demon' then we should of kept Sam with abilites or Souless Sam neither lasted past plot device and fandom objection and moaning. Dean being a demon is not a ongoing sl but the MOC is.

    Is this the episode with Claire Novak? If so, the title Paper Moon would make sense because that was the name of the movie with Ryan and Tatum O'Neal.

    I thought that was episode 9? Theres a Castiel centric episode around mid season I think, a Charlie episode and one with Jody and the doughnut eating female cop from The Purge or something all happening around mid season

    also it means Castiel could easily have gone on Sam and Dean's hunts (with full angel ability) in fact they could have just sent him to take care of the problem and stayed back at the bunker safe and sound each week

    You could be right. I've lost track of what spoilers go with what episode. I saw a blonde haired girl that looks to be dressed grunge, so I wondered if this episode is when Claire shows up.

    I didn't like it either, but context is important. The 'girl' is hurt and she's a werewolf. I don't think it would be a good idea to have her alone in the backseat where she could attack them or, in the case it's because she's hurt maybe her injures would get worse if placed there.

    Yeah, I really hope Glass breaks that annoying pattern, otherwise from the photos the episode looks pretty even between the brothers... Sam gets strangled and Dean is on the floor.

    I agree with you and sharonally. Precisely why full powered Cas is used sparingly to help the boys as you said, and why DB!Sam's powers only worked on demons (also why 'Sam's Abilities ' were never treated going by dialog from the show as a "Good Thing".)

    The show has to set breaks on how full powered Cas, DB Sam and Demon Dean are used. I think the writers' intention was always to make 'Dean's S10 storyline' how he deals with the MoC and not about his remaining a near un-kill-able Knight of Hell for half season or more.

    I know the S10 promo "Year of the Deanmon" raised hopes that DemonDean would last for at least half a season - indeed I was even somewhat expecting DemonDean (cure or failed cure) to last through the Fall Cliffee at least. But if Crowley and DD were hanging that long what Sam would be doing besides hunting for Crowley and his brother.

    Even if Sam worked with Cas or even Jody or other hunters maybe, it would be odd if Sam + ? said "Gee, the trail for Crowley and Dean has grown cold so we're going to take 6 -7 random MOTW cases with possible new 'mytharc' clues while we're waiting for the next actionable lead." For Demon Dean and Crowley, sure, there were lots of possible directions the show could go, but for Sam very little.

    Lol, Sammy hasn't been strangled in seasons - at least Sam doesn't appear to knocked out/tied up - yet - which is Sam's current 'thing'. I am surprised by Dean on the floor - perhaps it's only because he's fighting the MoC's influence which is urging him to rip their hearts out with his enhanced strength.

Jk, yeah, Deanmon is cool don't get me wrong, but I thought they dragged out Souless Sam and I didn't want them to do the same with Deanmon so I'm glad he's not around for very long mostly because it's weird not having Sam and Dean together and you know that they can't work together if Dean's a demon...

    Yes, I am looking for both brothers to a lot more proactive, less 'damsel' and a lot less easily led by the nose by other characters this year, Strongly prefer them fighting the baddies, not with each other, dealing with their issues and neither put in un-winnable moral situations this season.
