To be honest, the only reason why I'm holding onto this show for a bit longer is the characters themselves. I can't grasp my mind around nerds solving super complex criminally unrealistic scenarios. Not to mention a "normal" person on the team that is supposed to serve as a moral compass. Don't get me wrong, I like Paige, but I feel she could do without the "being on the team" part.
Paige is a much needed character, in my opinion. She understands people a lot better. And they need someone on their team that has social skills that are needed for daily life. For example, in the recent episode, when Sly was afraid to touch the door handle, she found a way to calm him and help him escape. Plus, I love how Katharine is portraying Paige.
I'm also loving the growing closeness between Paige and Walter. The actors have natural chemistry. I can't wait to see that relationship develop. As well as Paige connecting with her son. That's another lovely relationship.
Without Paige, I feel like the show would just be filled with "geniuses." And too procedure like. It's the characters and their connections that make this show unique, in my opinion.
I'm not into "science/technology" lingo...so for me, I need characters like Paige.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
The characters are what's doing it for me in this series because the procedural parts of the series are a wee bit far-fetched.
