Stephen Collins' scandal has led to another lost job: Scandal. Collins was to appear in season four of the hit ABC drama from Shonda Rhimes, but his scenes have been cut, E! News has confirmed.
"We can confirm that we will not be airing any footage with Stephen Collins," a rep for ABC told E! News in a statement.
Collins allegedly admitted to molesting young girls in an audiotape leaked to the press. The actor, best known for his roles a Reverend Eric Camden on 7th Heaven, previously appeared in a 2012 episode of Scandal as Reed Wallace.

Fairly predictable. Assuming his role was the same as it was last time (breaking news anchor by himself) it should be pretty easy to replace him.
ReplyDeleteOh, the guy from Revolution... o_o
ReplyDeleteI never thought he'd do something like that.
Well I assume he'll be cut from every project he's involved in. Ted 2 cut him as well
ReplyDeleteActually 7th heaven.
ReplyDeleteGood. Disgusting vile man.
ReplyDeleteRevolution as well.
ReplyDeleteBut he more well known for 7th Heaven.
ReplyDeleteOh? Didn't know.
ReplyDeleteIt was really shocking when I hear about this.
ReplyDeleteAny sex offender is a disgusting being but I'll say it like this: until the authenticity of the tape isn't proven I don't dare to make any accusatons.
ReplyDeleteThe tape was recorded in 2012 and was released now as his ex wife and him got into an alimony fight. Not saying that the tape isn't real but the possibility of being a fake is still there. Especially since it wouldn't be the craziest thing people faked to get more money out of something
IF it's real though I'm shocked by his ex-wives decision not to release it earlier!
If he's indeed a threat to society this tape SHOULD have been released in 2012 not just now
I heard he was a regular in season 2
ReplyDeleteI think he was recurring. Not sure.
ReplyDeletedidn't watch the show but I was planning to.
ReplyDeleteHe was in 22 episodes from the second season of Revolution so I assume he was a regular.
ReplyDeleteSeems to be the case, just checked myself.
ReplyDeleteSeen a rerung of 7th Heaven a few days ago, this all feels so incredibly creepy now. Even if he's innocent I can't looks at this guy anymore without being creeped out
7th heaven reruns are also pulled from the schedule.
ReplyDeleteJust remember he was also on devious maids...
ReplyDeletedon't watch that show and kinda don't want to now. His face is just creeping me out now (guilty or not, I'm afraid the term "child molester" will stick in my head attatched to his face even if it turns out the he may be framed)
ReplyDeleteThe show is gone for good? :/
ReplyDeleteExactly. And to think that i was actually thinking of giving 7th heaven a chance. (Hated it growing up)
ReplyDeleteyeah, not sure i could ever watch that show again. Watched it as a kid but now? Certainly not
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, especially since TMZ released the news, which is probably the website I trust the least
ReplyDeleteit's less about the website for me and more about the fact that we should question whatever we're served with. He could very well have fallen victim to an angered souse with enough money on the hands to hire a sound-alike to fake a tape. OR he is indeed a child molester that should be put behind bars.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I know for sure is that if this is real I'm incredibly angry at his ex-wive for withholding such important information from the public. There's a reason former sex-offenders NEED to make their presence known to every neighbour. To warn them
Most likely if another network was going to pick it up they probably would have by now.
ReplyDeleteServes him right! I'm not interested in seeing him in anything.
ReplyDeleteIf Revolution was still going it would be so weird for the cast... And he would have probably speak up already cause NBC would have made him.
ReplyDeleteAddie's father from PP. He always looked shady to me, if I'd have to be superficial.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember him. Who was he playing?
ReplyDeleteI can think of many reasons why a person would hesitate before releasing information to the public about something that their spouse did (no matter how bad it is), especially since it was revealed during a confidential therapy session, so, I'm not going to condemn the wife for not sharing the information with the public right away. She also may have convinced herself that he was trying to get better. I'm just glad that she released it.
