It was cute, light, fluffy entertainment that I'll watch a couple of more episodes to see where this is going. If Andrew and Zelda's relationship doesn't work out, at least I'll find out in eight months, three weeks and whatever. That's better than investing nine years only to be crushingly disappointed in the end. Sorry, I couldn't resist. :)
The show just hints that we'll find out if Andrew and Zelda's relationship will or won't work out in a little over eight months. It's more a matter if these two stay together or not right now and not so much about them getting married or not.
There was nothing new, but there were a couple of cuts. They removed the part about Zelda's match being a woman/the matching algorithm being messed up, and they didn't show her looking at her silver dress in the closet. There may have been one or two other very, very minor things. It still worked really well overall, IMO.
I was pretty bummed to see them cut the part with the dress. It's a really sweet moment and leads into the final scene with Andrew and Zelda so well. The other thing wasn't as big a loss, but I thought the original version was better because her reason for being there wasn't as much of a mystery. Plus it was just a cute scene.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteWas the pilot any different than the screener?

ReplyDeleteWell, the pilot was 25 minute long, so I figured they'd cut a scene or two.
ReplyDeleteIt still ended up being about 24 minutes. They only had two fairly brief commercial breaks.
ReplyDeleteWhen are they going to release a promo for 1x02?
