Leo made a good point about Emma that made me start to dislike her a little. He is right, she doesn't have to be there. Compared to the other characters, her health issues are minor and worst of all, she doesn't even try to get better. The show needs to take some of its storylines more seriously. It's too lighthearted at the moment.
I actually completely disagree, in some ways anorexia is more insideous than cancer, cystic fibrous, or an enlarged heart because it's more than just medical, but a psychological issue as well. Strictly medical causes can be treated by surgery, physical therapy or medicine, where Emma needs both medical & psychological assistance, because her mental perceptions about her body, control & food all need be brought back to a healthy norm.
Additionally, we saw her eating & marking that down in her journal prior to the dance, it was afterward meeting those girls who idolize her figure ( reinforcing her unhealthy body image) & her discussion with Leo that she refused to eat anything at all.
If you want to talk about someone who is actively not helping herself or making their condition worse, then what about Kara? Smoking, sex & trying to get both illegal & legal ( but prescribed to a child) drugs?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
It was nice
