Don't feel Sharman as Kol, got to get that out first. Loved the episode but I conclude: Elijah is a complete idiot. I love him but he's a moron.
I don't have much on the episode given that the story is flowing from episode to episode but overall it's becoming really interesting. I still can't stomach Hayley and Klaus on screen together but at least that's a non-romantic thing.
Loved Nate coming back, FINALLY I get why Elijah didn't give a sh*t about undaggering Kol for all those years. And why he probably hasn't griefed (we don't know) when he died.
Episode was good. Could've been better, guess my expectations were too high for this episode specifically. Enjoyed the flashbacks with Kol, I laughed so hard with the "Theater scene". Umm I was very curious about the past relationship with Elijah and Marcel, so I was glad to see a little of that. Buttt I was either zoning out or completely missed something, b/c the scenes with them didn't explain a damn thing. I missed Camille, and I wish Hayley would get rid of Oliver, he's surpassed his eye candy looks for me and I just want him dead now. Lmfao....Enjoyed Mikael as always, liked the scenes with Klaus and Esther and relieved that Kol/Kaleb didn't tell Esther about Mikael. Oh and Finn is as boring now as he was in TVD, too bad Sage isn't around to make him a TAD bit interesting. Idk what else to say, thinks that's it. Gotta watch Sleepy Hollow now, I'm out.
I wasn't prepared for the Elijah and Marcel feels!! Baby Marcel is the cutest <3 And I know it's completely naive and probably never going to happen but I just want the Mikaelsons and Marcel to be a family again ; (
Really enjoyed that episode. The hour went by so fast, that's when you know your watching something good. Hayley is really coming out on her own. Now as for the rest of the Mikaleson family I like that they are back, but I don't understand Esthers reasoning to why she wants to kill her boys. Klaus had a point during their tea. I really enjoyed that whole interaction. And I've heard so many people say Klaus is the terrible awful one but his siblings as we've seen in the flashbacks are just as bad sometimes even dare I say worse. Anyways, the episode was great I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.
Klaus daggered Rebekah because she dared to love 2 men who were not Klaus, he took her 100 years. Kol was a douche, I get it. What did Elijah do to deserve a dagger in the first episode?
Klaus is still the most selfish douchebag out there. Hell he only let Kol free because he wanted Marcel for himself. #1 Dad smh
I'm interested in hearing Mikael's backstory, as he's been somewhat two-dimensional throughout the whole thing. Hopefully, it's not just his father treated im the same way as klaus, and he was also considered a bastard.
agreed, he's plain evil at this point. And while I'd value a twisted love angle (like him thinking that the vamp curse killed his beloved Klaus and inserted a monster) I doubt the writers will go down this route
Really like the season so far I'm hoping it's marcel who finds Davina just give her a chance make her learn from his mistake since he has personal experience of using mikael to kill klaus and how badly that can turn out and I don't know about everybody else but I hope this new vampire apprentice works out for Elijah and Gia not as couple but to have someone be around him because seriously he needs some friends or sombody to talk too instead of being klaus and Hayley 24/7
*ALERT ALERT* "Original Kol" sighting (notice the wordplay)! *ALERT ALERT* "Original Kol sighting! There is the mother Esther (The First Witch) on one side, on the other side is the father Mikael (Original Vampire/Killer of vampires), and in the middle are the Original Vampires with everyone else (humans/witches/werewolves/vampires) making the best formula for a "Awesome Season"! I enjoyed this episode and I'm looking forward to watching this season unfold. Klaus and Elijah ganging up on Kol in the first "daggering" scene was.............dirty (the two older brothers jumping the younger brother was not fair). Possible Developments: - Davina will have to return to her coven, because she is in over her head. Problem.......Esther and.......Mikael! - Kol has always been a slippery and unpredictable. "Bex" is the only sibling who has been able to control him, and even she could only do so much. Kol is the first big mistake in Esther's new plan(s). - Mikael is the ultimate "wildcard" for this season, but will end up working with Elijah.......for a brief time. - Elijah and the new vampire girl, Gia. Should be a good storyline development. It should steer Elijah away from the Hayley/Elijah storyline..........hopefully. QUOTE OF THE EPISODE: Elijah to his daggered brother, Kol. QUOTE: "Unfortunately Kol.......your wretched behavior will only serve to distraction him from this auspicious path." 4 THE ORIGINALS, THE COPIES, AND ALL THE REPEATS, I am still Nobody!!!
Elijah really needs a new love interest though - anyone but Hayley so I'll accept him getting with Gia (someone who has no history with Klaus or any other Original).
I wanted Oliver dead as soon as he and the other wolves attacked Rebekah and I bet Finn's character description is just labeled boring someone just needs to kill him I know he has a mission with Cami but since she wasn't in this episode why is he?
Wow, you wanted him dead for a long time. As for Cami and Finn, idk what you're talking about. If it's a spoiler, then I haven't read it nor will I. Since the season has started I've cracked down, wayyy down, (back into my no major spoilers zone) on getting a lot of info while the show is in play. But maybe their interaction will help. I love Cami, and if she has to interact with Finn and Klaus finds out, WHEN he finds out that's Finn, there's no doubt that that WOS will be lundged in Finn's chest once again. Should be exciting, we'll see, I won't hold my breath. Again, I have to watch those scenes once more, I missed w/e went on there.
Yeah, but that's because I never really liked him not sure why many people would. You remember last week? Finn was talking to Cami and Esther was wondering how it went so yeah they have a plan for her and I heard it's going to be surprising when we find out what it's.
Ohhhhhh righttttttt. Okayyyy, yeaaaa I forgot about that. LOL. Thanks. Actually I didn't mind Oliver at all. It wasn't until the ending of season 1 that I started to really dislike him.
I'm so glad they didn't drag out the Mikael and Esther mystery for half a season or so...second episode and bam the big reveal, one to each brother.
I suspect Kol is going to play a key figure in helping Elijah and Klaus. I don't think he likes mommy too much, especially after she did her little mind whammy on him. I think she would easily sacrifice Kol and Finn (even though they're now human) in her desire to destroy her other children.
Indeed. I see Kol turning on Esther eventually. I don't think he'll fully join up with Klaus and Elijah but I could Davina bringing out a different side of him. What Marcel was to Klaus, Davina could be to Kol. Although if that happens, hopefully Nate will reclaim the role.
great episode, surprised kol didn't tell esther about mikael but he's probably planning his escape from dear old mom so don't be counting him as an ally, was hoping to see cami so we could see cami and klaus talk after months of not seeing each other, actually liked the elijah and marcel flashbacks and will kol ever stop being such a douchebag it still makes me throw up that he's romancing a 16-year old witch when the body of the witch he's in is probably 21-22 years old, surprised that he not only saw his old man but also his brother, i want that blonde wolf alpha wannabe dead right now, hayley and elijah don't seem to be getting any better and now it seems like going to begin to align himself with the vampires, it looks like marcel still hates that elijah left him when it seems he saw him as more of a father than klaus, also liked that klaus and hayley talked about how much they miss their daughter
i know. i think she is way too thin now but she has to be because she is part time model right now. i just loved her look better on TVD and TSC because she looked so much healthier than now
I actually think DS is quite endearing normally, but I can see how someone might accidentally veer into douchebro vibes when trying to play a character like Kol. Nate is masterful about that cheeky mischievous vibe that’s so essential to Kol’s character, but anyone who isn’t masterful at it can definitely come off as just an arrogant asshole. This whole idea was just dumb as shit from the start and they really need to bring back Nate as Kol. I really want DS to stay on the show, but after watching that scene I think he’s totally wrong for Kol.
Yeah, Kol doesn't have a strong bond of loving relationship with Klaus/Elijah...maybe he did once upon a time before they tried to blend in and hide from Mikael. However, I don't see him following Esther for very long as she's not exactly a loving mother.
It would be interesting if he and Davina ended up being the Wildcards in this fight and I would love it if we could get Nate back.
(That was me BTW, didn't realize i wasn't logged in)
This season of TO is going to blow TVD S2 out of the water, last night's episode was really good, Nate brought it to life I must admit , he just nailed the Kol we were used to , Elijah was the ever so selfless that he is, he denied himself for everything just so Klaus can continue his bumpy road to redemption, Klaus just confirmed that he's just as needy as ever, bringing Kol then daggering him just cause he felt Marcel's affections can go to his brother showed that Klaus will always have that "am not good enough to be loved" stigma. Hayley trusting Oliver showed just how dumb she still is, the man was going to kill you few days back, and now he'll play the good little spy for you...I don't think so!
Mikael was just badass, want him to stick around for the long haul Esther was a master manipulator, she doesn't even care abt the well being of her good children, she has a plot in mind, and she's going for it .
Great episode. I loved the twists and turns. Kol betrayed his mother. I hope that doesn't come to bite him in the ass. I am glad it didn't take long for Klaus and Elijah to discover their parents were back on the scene.
and it's not just Kol but Esther and Finn also. I preferred the original actors Alice Evans and Casper Zafer. I know Casper retired from acting but Alice didn't so why don't they bring her back as well along with Nate?
I love Leah Pipes. She does her best as Cami. IMO she is a better actress than Phoebe Tonkin. But Cami is so inconsequential to the story unless she is with Klaus and we explore his feelings for her. But then Klaus is a psychopath with feelings all over the place. I hope she has some significant role this season other than token human and Klaus's crush.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
what a amazing ep!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't feel Sharman as Kol, got to get that out first.

Put Kol back into Nates body...
Please bring back nathaniel as kol
ReplyDeleteword!

ReplyDeleteI love Mikael. He's just so purely evil. And I like Davina teaming up with him, even though he did turn on her.
ReplyDeleteThe rest of the ep was kind of too formula to me. And I don't know why they keep Oliver around other than he's nice eye candy once in awhile.
I've never liked Esther. And her motives just seem unrealistic. I'm not really sure where this is going.
Getting tired of Elijah always making his "sacrifices" for whatever.
I second tha.t
ReplyDeleteLOVED IT !!!
I wasn't prepared for the Elijah and Marcel feels!! Baby Marcel is the cutest <3
ReplyDeleteAnd I know it's completely naive and probably never going to happen but I just want the Mikaelsons and Marcel to be a family again ; (
I'm getting tired of Klaus always being the reason he makes those sacrifices only to be repaid in daggers
ReplyDeletenot as long as attentionwh**e Klaus keeps acting out once he feels not love enough
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed that episode. The hour went by so fast, that's when you know your watching something good. Hayley is really coming out on her own. Agreed. The show was ok for me, I felt that it could have been better. I feel like they are leading up to something. Hopefully!

ReplyDeleteElijah betrayed Klaus and had a secret life as some doctor, that's why he daggered him LOL
ReplyDeleteI would second this. Marcel and Mikaelson family reunion would be wayyyyyyyyyyyyy better then Marcel trying to take over NOLA.
ReplyDeleteOk, just re-watched the show....and is it me....or has Phoebe lost some serious weight...
ReplyDeleteFlove her portrayal of Hayley...but seriously....she is very thin at the moment.
Really like the season so far

ReplyDeleteGuilt. I think Esther feels guilty and responsible for creating vampires and views it as being a mistake she made so it's on her to correct it.
ReplyDeleteI wanted Oliver dead as soon as he and the other wolves attacked Rebekah and I bet Finn's character description is just labeled boring someone just needs to kill him I know he has a mission with Cami but since she wasn't in this episode why is he?
ReplyDeleteActually, it's that he's a werewolf and he can't stand them is why he hates Klaus so much but I wonder why he hated him before he found out?
ReplyDeleteShe doesn't have to wear that baby bump anymore so perhaps that's it? She looks fine to me.
ReplyDeleteDaniel already said that Gia is only going to be someone he's mentoring it's not going to be romantic at all.
ReplyDeleteWow, you wanted him dead for a long time. As for Cami and Finn, idk what you're talking about. If it's a spoiler, then I haven't read it nor will I. ReplyDeleteLoved all 4 minutes and 26 seconds ( stop watched it ) of Nate as Kol !
ReplyDeleteI need NATE on the show like i need air. he made this episode 75% more bearable
