I liked the cinematography, various scenes were REALLY well done and oozed atmosphere. Storywise this was a great wrapup of the last seasons threats.
Klaus was actually less explosive than usual and dare I say it? Likable. Well made turn of events indeed. His transition from a**hat you'd like to murder yourself to a likable idiot has been done well. Elijah was his classic self, condescending to his enemies and usually smarter than everyone else. Hayley was actually acceptable, I even liked her crying scene with Elijah. In a few other scenes she was back to her 'meh' face but that scene was well acted on Phoebes part. Props to her! Liked the Marcel/Klaus alliance but I'm not sure wether I can bear another 'I want to be king' storyline As for the recurring characters: Francesca got dealt with pretty quickly, kind of sad to see her go. She was a acceptable villain until this episode. She got dumbed down to be killed off.
No surprise on the Finn/Kol reveal, not a fan of the actress playing Cassie. And for f***s sake Daniel Sharman is terrible, I knew he was going to be Kol but hell please don't have him channel an actor he can't live up to. TERRIBLE
Vincent was okay, I do miss Caspar Zafer though I want all three of them to return to their actual bodies sooner than later. Nathanie Buzolic is eager to return and Alice Evans sure wouldn't mind I suppose. Caspar Zafer just came back from this giant world sailing competition so he should be available too.
Mikael was pure gold listening to his viking chants
I also like the way Klaus aknowledged Hayley as family, I liked that scene and it was well done. Although I hate that I'm going to hate this scene once Klayley shippers start using this scene as justification for their ship.
Overall a ship-free episode with quite some blood and enough Elijah scenes to keep me satisfied.
They are actually continuing their upwards trend from season 1. Each episode is better than the last
Loved the opening with Rebeckah. Elijah is a BAMF as always and I got a kick out of Klaus going all psycho painting in his enemies blood.
I really wish the show would focus more on the family aspects of The Originals over their love lives since o think the drama between the siblings is more interesting.
I also think they still have a bit too many enemies in the show. I'd prefer if they focused on Elijah/Hayley/Klaus vs Kol/Ester/Finn with Davina/Marcel/Cami being the wild cards.
It was awesome. I'm glad the rings that were weakening Klaus are gone. The killing of Francesca was way too short and mostly seemed off camera. That was disappointing.
I love Davina, too bad it looks like she was be hurt in the end by Kol.
I still love Cami, but I kind of want her to end up a vampire.
Still don't understand why Oliver is still allowed to live?
It was a strong premiere. And I can't wait to see more.
I agree with you there, but I still have hope that this opens a door for Nate's return. I guess it makes sense for Esther to put him in a human body to stop him running around eating people, but I also think it makes sense for Kol to want his own body back. Hope they don't mess this up!
I voted great. I felt it was good, but at times too slow, with a lot of talking, which I usually don't mind, but at was so paced. But I know it's b/c it's the premiere. I did love the action scenes though! Hayley and Elijah kicked some ass! Hayley having action scenes seriously lacked last season (imo) so I was very happy with seeing that tonight.
Camille held her own tonight. I love her. And ssooooooo glad she dropped that shit with Marcel, when I saw them in bed I though ugh, they're still screwing, somebody shoot me. Then she said it was NSA and I said YES! Marcel really made me cringe with his whole, "Can I see you later?" Eww. I still hate him. And his talk with Josh didn't make me hate him any less. Josh Josh Josh, how I have missed him! He's still awesome as ever. Can't wait for more of him. Please don't die.
Davina,I like Davina, but I feel she's getting really cocky. (Which is not too surprising at this point) She reminded me of Bonnie in season. 1 Finale and s2 premiere, and that's when I really started hating Bonnie (and it stuck) so I hope that won't be the case with Davina. I usually don't like to compare characters with these two shows, but it was so in my face I couldn't ignore it.
My Haylijah....my god,I'm not even worried, I enjoyed their scenes together and I thought the angry tension was HOT! They'll get back on track eventually, didn't even sweat it. And Elijah, damn how I've missed him, could he be any sexier!! I lovedddd that door scene! When he explained his actions and stepped in the door (I flashed back to Katherine) iI screamed YES! Kill this bitch! Kill heR!!!! Well I'm glad he saved her for Hayley b/c that's how it should've been. I couldn't take her face any longer!! So glad she's gone.
My Klamille....That one scene where she went to the house, and he was lurking but keeping a distance, and she still felt his presence. Omg that was true vampire fashion and I loved it Sooo Much!! I thought it was incredibly sexy, especially with the music in the background. It made me think of Buffy and Angel, you know when Angel was around but never right in front of her face, but she always sensed him w/o physically seeing him, then looked around and searched for him. That was always my favorite thing between those two and the fact that I had the pleasure of seeing that with Klaus and Camille just left me swooning. I also liked his scene with Hayley, though I saw nor felt anything romantic in that seen. Just friendship, or rather a blooming friendship. Well it was more likE two parents who hate each other and got divorced, but work better together, separated, and have to come together once more for their child. LOL Yeah, that all made sense. Moving on..
Esther, Finn, and Kol.....Family reunion. F*CK YEAH!!! Did you guys see that promo??? Omggg Sooo ready for that shit!
Haven't gotten to see it yet... but they effing recast Kol?! Who's playing him now? I just did a Google search and looked on the wiki, but I only see Nathaniel so far. Hmmm. Not happy about this news.
I actually liked Marcel this episode and the should out he gave to Thierry was kinda sad, I like the guy
As for the Klaus/Hayley scene. Didn't get any romantic vibes there as well but I also don't want any. I can barely stomach Hayley and Elijah but if there's another chick banging both brothers I might just lose my sh*t
certainly two different shows at this point. TVD is a classic mix of Gilmore Girls/OneTreeHill with vampires thrown in there but basically being obsolet while TO is a solid mix of Interview with the Vampire and Angel
His tribute to Thierry was all I liked. (B/c I liked Theirry) I don't like when characters get killed off then next episode it's like they never died, so it's good they still reference him.
As far as that happening, I don't see that happening at all, nor do iI think it, nor have iI thunk it. Ever, not even in season 1. It's pretty clear (at least to me) that the Originals (the show) is more mature and will not be going down that path. If it were it'd probably happen in season 5 (if the show lasted that long). But I'm not even worried about that. It's not in my thoughts at all.
I really enjoyed this episode. That is a great season opener. Really enjoyed Hayley this episode, and dare I say Klaus and Hayley might actually get along and work together. Glad to see Francesca go, was never a big fan of her or the actress. Kinda hoping Marcel and Klaus work together too. I like them better as friends. Overall I was really impressed with this episode. Looking forward to the rest of the season, hoping the timeslot doesn't kill it.
I don't go on there. I hate everyone on there. I like to read the comments at nightat, but for Arrow and TO, I don't bother. Sorry you made that mistake.
Now that was a premiere boys and girls..............take notes "Jules", even better take a "self help" workshop, because it can't hurt! The episode was "choppy" in some parts, but this was to be expected with the sudden departure of Claire Holt (the season 1 finale suffered the same "choppiness") and the change in storyline direction (No Spoilers). Speaking of Claire Holt...........WE HAD A BEX SIGHTING.......CONFIRM......WE HAD A BEX SIGHTING, PEOPLE! If you wanted to drop the Hayley storyline and pick - up with the Esther storyline then this episodes conclusion was necessary, but............did Hayley really do it? Awesome start to this great series return. 4 THE ORIGINALS, THE COPIES, AND ALL THE REPEATS, I am Nobody!!!
I agree the sudden departure of Claire Holt did effect things. The show is good, but Rebekah just balanced things out between Elijah and Klaus. I hope Claire Holt returns to the show one day as a regular again, even if she isn't in all 22 episodes, she can still be in at least half and still remain a regular.
I thought it was awesome, from Klaus' newfound guilt over his actions towards Elijah, to his comforting Hayley, alliance with Marcel, and continuing growth. Elijah was as always badass, decently funny, empathic and resourceful. But I especially loved Marcel's explanation of why he fights, why it's important they fight, and why they must win, as I felt it grounded his actions more and humanized him. I even liked Hayley. All in all great episode.
Yeah the way TVD left it with Finn being on side with Ester make sense but having Kol also back with her is a bit of a curve, they didn't leave on the best of terms.
Loved the episode, but I don't get why Kol would work with Ester, he teamed up with Klaus and Elijah against her!!! This season looks great, can't wait!!!!
Probably because Klaus/Elijah/Rebekah did nothing to avenge his death. Their failure to kill Elena & Jeremy (and to hang out with them instead) probably really pissed him off.
Hayley hating being a vampire is just repetitive of Elena's storyline. Tyler and none of the other werewolves Klaus turned hated being hybrids, in fact Tyler is having a hard time dealing with losing his vampire powers. The Hayley/Elijah scenes were awful IMO - they didn't work for me at all and i think the episode would have been stronger without them.
Hayley had no problem getting 12 hybrids killed but now killing 8/9 werewolves is an issue for her? It just doesn't make sense to me - the hybrids she got killed were her own kind as well.
I think Kaleb being Kol was really predictable - I saw tons of people guess that over the break. I do think they need to get Nate back to play the role instead though - I don't like having the body-swapping last very long. Klaus was only in Alaric & Tyler for an episode or two - it wasn't drawn out.
You can argue the hypocrisy of it, but judging from her comments on being a hybrid, as well as those of every werewolf seen on the show, vampirism and in particular hybrids are viewed with pretty open disdain and almost regarded as traitors by werewolves. Again you could argue hypocrisy and make a good case for it, but honestly the fact that her acting was decent in the scene, combined with the fact that character wise she's always been about finding her family and place and losing any hope partially because she had to kill werewolves crushes her does make sense. Well that and she literally fought for their rights as a species in New Orleans so she came to respect her fellow werewolves far more (as she herself mentions). That and unlike Tyler, and the other successful hybrids she didn't willing agree to become one it was thrust upon her forcibly. And not everyone reacts the same to being an undead blood thirsty monster. Honestly despite the fact that her character is annoying most of the time, and Phoebe Tonkin isn't great in the part, I still find it hard not to sympathize with Hayley and cut her some slack.
I'm glad Franscesca is dead. I really hope the original (lol) actors of Esther are back soon. I really don't like these two. I was really happy to hear Daniel Sharman coming to the show. Now I know that he is Kol, I'm not so happy anymore. Kol has to be vampire Kol and played by Nate. I wish they had given Daniel a different role. Ohw and his accent was really baaad!!
But it would have been Ester who brought back Finn, which he is all already established with her that he will help bring down the rest of the family, but if she is still looking to destroy the rest of her family why bring back Kol, he was always against her from what we know. I guess the power of the pens will come up with a back story to it.
Wow! This episode was incredible, I can't find the right word too describe it, a lot of things happened and all this shockers. I give this episode a 10/10.
Once again Originals proved why it is a much better show that it's parent TVD. THIS is how a season premiere should be. Action packed, plots moving forward and a twist that has you slopping wine over the edge of your glass (I did not see the Caleb/Kol thing at all) As a lover of Klaus since season 3 on TVD I am so happy to see his character developing and gaining humanity. Having and losing a child changes you, Klaus being effected by the loss of his daughter is true to life, just as his need and want for vengeance to bring her home true to character. Elijah was awesome as always. Loved the opening with Rebekah and Hope, it was a great way to tie them in. Marcel actually wasn't annoying. I liked him and Klaus working together, if we could get more of that I'd be happy. (Can't they be co-Kings?) Glad to see Francesca go to make room for the real big bad...the Original parents. This is one family reunion I am uber excited for, my only hope is that the original actors end up coming back. these stand in's just aren't doing it for me.
I totally agree with you on this. I think it's not really about Kol teaming up with Esther but more about being pissed at Klaus and Elijah and more importantly not wanting to be dead anymore. His mama had a way for him to come back so he took it. it's definitely true to his character.
Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! I just watched it b/c stupid weather alerts last night prevented me from watching it. Holy s**t!!!! The premiere was badass. Elijah especailly was badass. It's all in the details!
I agree with everything you said, specially related to Kol, Finn, Esther and Mikael. It's great to have them back but at the same times it's... not the same. I hope they get their bodies back soon.
Also, I really hope we get more information about their relationship and personalities that what we already know. "Psychotic unfaithful mother", "Boring obedient brother" "Bastard hitting father" and "reckless selfish little brother" seems quite one-dimensional by this point of the story. I hope they are not reduced to being the "new villains" of the season, only an obstacle for Klaus' plans.
Agreed on Marcel, I wasn't a big fan of his in season 1 but that explaination actually made me root for him. Especially his Thierry reference (god I miss that guy :( )
He has good reason to be mad at them, Klaus BANGED a member of the group that killed him and even worse the chick that treated Kols corpse like dirt. Rebekah just slept around in this circle of people and Elijah treated Elena like the messiah
I thought it was awesome, lived up to my high expectation after two strong season finale episodes, I didn't mind much the body change after all, both Esther and Finn were good, Kol a litte awkward delivery from the actor though, but still promising, if they get to their original from which i think they will, i would like to see the other two characters stick around.
Klaus turned all the hybrids including Tyler without their consent, I'm pretty sure the werewolves Klaus & Stefan met didn't like vampires and one girl said she'd rather die then become a vampire but Klaus turned them anyway.
I don't think Caroline was in on Kol's death - that was Elena's idea and she told Stefan but I don't think they told Caroline. Caroline was however in on the plots to kill all of the Originals in Season 3 and was part of the plot that got Finn killed.
It's nothing to do with shippers. I mean that's a big part of it. But they go to the extreme off topic, and they're a bunch of assholes, I just don't have time for it. Never had an account there, and never will. Just reading their comments alone w/o commenting can be exhausting. Don't have time for that. I stick to this site (I can put up with people's bullshit on this site) and a few others I go on, and I'm good. = )
Not to mention, he is a terrible actor in the show. Not sure what was going on with him, but his chemistry with the other characters is just totally off!
I also think that she came to New Orleans to find "her" family or origins and in a way forged a new family and origin for herself. A new origin that she did not choose and has not fully accepted as of yet. It will be interesting to see how this aspect of her character plays out.
In now way is this character like TVD one's, other then the fact that she was once on TVD. The constant comparisons between TO and TVD, of the characters and motivations and how alike and unalike is kinda tedious, given that the show deserves to be viewed and critically examined on its own merits. (**she eye rolls**)
sigh, clearly the klayley shippers weigh in and decide to get my stuff wrong. No, it was a figure of speech. Another trianlge is something I don't want
I am not a shipper of any couple....I think they all lack something at this point.
My point however is that technically she has only slept with Klaus. Further, if she were to sleep with him again, at this point, given that no sexual relations have occurred with the other brother....she would still only have been with the one brother. If she were to engage in sexual relations with Elijah then she would have slept with both.
I think this is a simple deduction....not sure where the ship comment comes in.
LOVED THE EPISODE except for cami and marcel damn it, what made me not lose hope is when marcel asked camille about klaus you could see that she missed him and talking to him and when she went to the compound and felt him geez if that's not love i don't know what it is and the way he looked at her and when she left elijah said liked her spirit and klaus agreed wow they are in no way over, poor hayley it must be horrible not being able to hold and talk to her baby, the same for klaus that scene with them showed how much of a family they are and also loved the scene with klaus being worried about elijah, i'm loving klau's returning humanity and growth and damn it the second kaleb spoke in a british accent i knew it was kol, now we have two good brothers and two evil brothers fighting against each other
Werewolves hate vampires, and lots of them didn't like being killed and turned into blood suckers. Werewolves can lead normal lives, vampires are dead and have to feed on people. Hayley lost her life and her pack. Tyler hated being a hybrid, but he also hated being sired, and everything else, he was a miserable character. Most of the hybrids you met on TVD were sire bound and therefore happy if Klaus was happy (and they died in the first five minutes of meeting them anyway so discussing their motivations is kinda moot).
Hayley in TO found a family and her heritage (what she was willing to risk random hybrids to Klaus's wrath on TVD to find) in the wolf pack. Losing those family members plus the sense of responsibility she felt as a former leader of the pack make it a very different scenario. She's grown as a person with her experiences in New Orleans. I don't think it was inconsistent at all.
Okay. Still doesn't change the fact that reality and everything we experience as people is subjective and different. People react differently. Their opinions can change over time. Even then if you're going to argue that, the main reason they liked it is because it might they never had to turn, yet Hayley didn't fear such a thing since it was planned she would get a moonlight ring. Yet again not everyone is similar. Some werewolves like Tyler loved the idea of being hybrids, others like Jackson and Hayley deprise it. Not everyone is the same in their thinking. Hell in the a week or so Hayley could come to love it, that's the nature of perception it constantly changes itself.
Elijah's scene at Francesca mansion was awesome beyond any words. Just as great as his pebbles scene at the gilbert's lake house. Suave bamf.
The faces Klaus made when the rings were deactivate gave me all sorts of dirty thoughts.
I realised Sharman was Kol the moment he started speaking even though i had no idea they were going that way. He did a good job copying Nate.
I still hope that all three originals will get their own bodies. The way Esther keeps talking about family reunion and that she made it very clear she hates being stuck in a teenager. Also Finn is uncomfortable with being human. They completely dropped his self-hatred and self-loathing. one would think he would be glad to be human again but nope... Finally someone (Mikael) addressed Klaus calling himself Mikaelson. Long time coming.... I didn't hate Hayley this episode even for a moment...interesting. So as long as Haylijah keep their hands off each other i am fine with her. I liked that she was back to being kickass, though the way she keeps clinging to mongrels pack and to try to reconnect with them is dragging the entire show down. The only thing weres are good for, is to be the random extras for the body count.
Camcel almost made me throw up. Camille has been established as not the kind of girl that would fuck some rageholic vampire all the while stumbling through Klaus' house looking for him with so much hope. Remember how much he disliked Marcel losing control of himself with Thierry? What happened to her decision to keep out of all the dangerous stuff?
Agree. i feel like they wasted a really good villain too quickly. I was expecting a long power struggle between Francesca and Mikalesons. instead her plan was to hide inside a house and wait until Klaus decides not to kill the woman that "killed" his child. What if they would just set her house on fire? The entire ending to Francesca's story line is stupid and anticlimactic.
Just one thing that made me wanna fast forward (scenes with Cami) and that is a rare thing for me these days. The Vampire Diaries premiere, case in point.
Loved Klaus. Considering I almost always love him, that was not surprising, but still. Wow. The angst, the anger, the love for his daughter...
Elijah. What can I say? That guy is amazing. The scenes at Francesca's mansion... Perfection.
Hayley. Loved her journey. And the last scene with her and Klaus? Not only did it make my shipper heart happy, but the emotions...
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteDaniel Sharman from Teen Wolf, Kol (like Esther and Finn) went into a new body.
ReplyDeleteAnd this guy doing Kols accent is painful, the actor is truly bad
Good god.....what can I say.... that was fantastic ....breathtaking ...I was more intrigue than I was with the TVD premiere

They would be fools not to get back Nate/Caspar/Alice. They MADE their characters.
ReplyDeleteFinn was basically a blank page, Caspar Zafer made him awesome
I wouldn't have thought of it if shippers on imdb wouldn't have rubbed it in my face, ever since I'm wary and scared of that ever becoming a thing
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a great way to start the season! I forgot how much things were so screwed up in the season finale.
ReplyDeletePS. I love Davina.☺
I really enjoyed this episode. That is a great season opener. Really enjoyed Hayley this episode, and dare I say Klaus and Hayley might actually get along and work together. ReplyDeleteCaspar was incredible... I hope he can return.
ReplyDeleteI thought the storyline was choppy and needed better editing. It was definitely jam packed full of stuff. Nice that they closed off some storylines.
ReplyDeleteI don't go on there. I hate everyone on there. I like to read the comments at nightat, but for Arrow and TO, I don't bother. Sorry you made that mistake.

ReplyDeleteMeh I always thought Finn was boring all the time. Nate would be great though.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't call Klaus an idiot. But I agree with you for the most part.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was awesome, from Klaus' newfound guilt over his actions towards Elijah, to his comforting Hayley, alliance with Marcel, and continuing growth. Elijah was as always badass, decently funny, empathic and resourceful. But I especially loved Marcel's explanation of why he fights, why it's important they fight, and why they must win, as I felt it grounded his actions more and humanized him. I even liked Hayley. All in all great episode.
ReplyDeleteYeah the way TVD left it with Finn being on side with Ester make sense but having Kol also back with her is a bit of a curve, they didn't leave on the best of terms.
ReplyDeleteYou have been imprinted with his American ascent from Teen Wolf.
ReplyDeleteYeah just wait for the Tatia episode.
ReplyDeleteLoved the episode, but I don't get why Kol would work with Ester, he teamed up with Klaus and Elijah against her!!! This season looks great, can't wait!!!!
ReplyDeleteProbably because Klaus/Elijah/Rebekah did nothing to avenge his death. Their failure to kill Elena & Jeremy (and to hang out with them instead) probably really pissed him off.
ReplyDeleteHayley hating being a vampire is just repetitive of Elena's storyline. Tyler and none of the other werewolves Klaus turned hated being hybrids, in fact Tyler is having a hard time dealing with losing his vampire powers. The Hayley/Elijah scenes were awful IMO - they didn't work for me at all and i think the episode would have been stronger without them.
ReplyDeleteHayley had no problem getting 12 hybrids killed but now killing 8/9 werewolves is an issue for her?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Franscesca is dead.
ReplyDeleteI think Kol had defenitlly his own agenda! I think he had to made a deal with Esther for coming back. Now he is back and can do his own thing again.
ReplyDeleteBut it would have been Ester who brought back Finn, which he is all already established with her that he will help bring down the rest of the family, but if she is still looking to destroy the rest of her family why bring back Kol, he was always against her from what we know. I guess the power of the pens will come up with a back story to it.
ReplyDeleteI know he's British but I didn't think he sounded like a cocky on steroids.
ReplyDeleteNice episode.Although it would be much better if nate comes back & we don't have deal with the body-switch drama for much longer!
ReplyDeleteWow! This episode was incredible, I can't find the right word too describe it, a lot of things happened and all this shockers. I give this episode a 10/10.
ReplyDeleteI like how they killed these vampires. Too bad that the good time wont roll for very long.
ReplyDeleteOnce again Originals proved why it is a much better show that it's parent TVD. THIS is how a season premiere should be. Action packed, plots moving forward and a twist that has you slopping wine over the edge of your glass (I did not see the Caleb/Kol thing at all)
ReplyDeleteAs a lover of Klaus since season 3 on TVD I am so happy to see his character developing and gaining humanity.
Klaus painting with the blood was awesome!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you on this. I think it's not really about Kol teaming up with Esther but more about being pissed at Klaus and Elijah and more importantly not wanting to be dead anymore. His mama had a way for him to come back so he took it. it's definitely true to his character.
ReplyDeleteThe only reason I am watch is for Elijah and Daniel did not let me down. He was so smooth and HOT. ;) This series is much better than TVD for me.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! I just watched it b/c stupid weather alerts last night prevented me from watching it. Holy s**t!!!! The premiere was badass. Elijah especailly was badass. It's all in the details!
ReplyDeleteI agree with everything you said, specially related to Kol, Finn, Esther and Mikael. It's great to have them back but at the same times it's... not the same. I hope they get their bodies back soon.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I really hope we get more information about their relationship and personalities that what we already know. "Psychotic unfaithful mother", "Boring obedient brother" "Bastard hitting father" and "reckless selfish little brother" seems quite one-dimensional by this point of the story. I hope they are not reduced to being the "new villains" of the season, only an obstacle for Klaus' plans.
he channeled Nathaniels australian/british accent though
ReplyDeleteNate brought in a mix of british/australian Sharman channelled that
ReplyDeleteAs a ship hater imdb is great for me to talk about Arrow but The Originals page has been turned into a fanatic haven for shippers, sadly.
ReplyDeleteAgreed on Marcel, I wasn't a big fan of his in season 1 but that explaination actually made me root for him. Especially his Thierry reference (god I miss that guy :( )
ReplyDeleteHe has good reason to be mad at them, Klaus BANGED a member of the group that killed him and even worse the chick that treated Kols corpse like dirt.
ReplyDeleteRebekah just slept around in this circle of people
and Elijah treated Elena like the messiah
I thought it was awesome, lived up to my high expectation after two strong season finale episodes, I didn't mind much the body change after all, both Esther and Finn were good, Kol a litte awkward delivery from the actor though, but still promising, if they get to their original from which i think they will, i would like to see the other two characters stick around.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I like Daniel Sharman, I have to say that his accent sounded really weird.
ReplyDeleteKlaus turned all the hybrids including Tyler without their consent, I'm pretty sure the werewolves Klaus & Stefan met didn't like vampires and one girl said she'd rather die then become a vampire but Klaus turned them anyway.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Caroline was in on Kol's death - that was Elena's idea and she told Stefan but I don't think they told Caroline. Caroline was however in on the plots to kill all of the Originals in Season 3 and was part of the plot that got Finn killed.
ReplyDeleteI think they should put it back in its original timeslot
ReplyDeleteit was an okay episode but i will never accept hayley as part of the mikaelsons because her charatcer is still joke.
ReplyDeleteIt's nothing to do with shippers. = )
ReplyDeleteI think you replied to the wrong person hehe
ReplyDeleteNot to mention, he is a terrible actor in the show. Not sure what was going on with him, but his chemistry with the other characters is just totally off!
ReplyDeleteI also think that she came to New Orleans to find "her" family or origins and in a way forged a new family and origin for herself. A new origin that she did not choose and has not fully accepted as of yet. It will be interesting to see how this aspect of her character plays out.
ReplyDeleteIn now way is this character like TVD one's, other then the fact that she was once on TVD. The constant comparisons between TO and TVD, of the characters and motivations and how alike and unalike is kinda tedious, given that the show deserves to be viewed and critically examined on its own merits. (**she eye rolls**)
I wish Marcel would learn a new song....getting my city back....ugh....boring and unachievable!
ReplyDeleteI get it, she offered him an opportunity to get out.
ReplyDeleteI also don't think Esther's motivations are all that clear at the moment....
Agreed and cosigned!
ReplyDeleteI think it was or is hilarious how Julie tried to make a mystery about this. We all knew that Finn would be coming back with her.
ReplyDeleteThey are shooting a new webseries with Kol and Nate will be the lead. Apparently it will be happening episode 9.....
ReplyDeleteI love Hayley fighting scenes. She is one badazz chica!
ReplyDeleteTechnically, Hayley has only slept with Klaus aka baby.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for that, but I also hope he can return in the Originals as well. Web series' are usually quite short so :(
ReplyDeletesigh, clearly the klayley shippers weigh in and decide to get my stuff wrong. No, it was a figure of speech. Another trianlge is something I don't want
ReplyDeleteI am not a shipper of any couple....I think they all lack something at this point.
ReplyDeleteMy point however is that technically she has only slept with Klaus. Further, if she were to sleep with him again, at this point, given that no sexual relations have occurred with the other brother....she would still only have been with the one brother. If she were to engage in sexual relations with Elijah then she would have slept with both.
I think this is a simple deduction....not sure where the ship comment comes in.
LOVED THE EPISODE except for cami and marcel damn it, what made me not lose hope is when marcel asked camille about klaus you could see that she missed him and talking to him and when she went to the compound and felt him geez if that's not love i don't know what it is and the way he looked at her and when she left elijah said liked her spirit and klaus agreed wow they are in no way over, poor hayley it must be horrible not being able to hold and talk to her baby, the same for klaus that scene with them showed how much of a family they are and also loved the scene with klaus being worried about elijah, i'm loving klau's returning humanity and growth and damn it the second kaleb spoke in a british accent i knew it was kol, now we have two good brothers and two evil brothers fighting against each other
ReplyDeleteklaus'/ also loved what the difference between a fighter and a warrior is
ReplyDeleteWerewolves hate vampires, and lots of them didn't like being killed and turned into blood suckers.
ReplyDeleteHayley in TO found a family and her heritage (what she was willing to risk random hybrids to Klaus's wrath on TVD to find) in the wolf pack. Losing those family members plus the sense of responsibility she felt as a former leader of the pack make it a very different scenario. She's grown as a person with her experiences in New Orleans. I don't think it was inconsistent at all.
I do hope we get more. I think we will.
ReplyDeleteOkay.
ReplyDeleteThe comparisons are becoming gratuitous and annoying.
ReplyDeleteI didnt see Kol coming tbh. I liked that. The episode was awesome once again TO>>>>>>> TVD
ReplyDeletei know, right? I thought it was only me.. i just thought "is that supposed to be british?"
ReplyDeleteElijah's scene at Francesca mansion was awesome beyond any words. Just as great as his pebbles scene at the gilbert's lake house. Suave bamf.
ReplyDeleteThe faces Klaus made when the rings were deactivate gave me all sorts of dirty thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI was expecting a long power struggle between Francesca and Mikalesons. instead her plan was to hide inside a house and wait until Klaus decides not to kill the woman that "killed" his child. What if they would just set her house on fire?
The entire ending to Francesca's story line is stupid and anticlimactic.
It is. He is a British actor. He also sounds nothing like Nathanial....who by the way was putting on a fake Brit accent IMO.
ReplyDeleteAgreed lady!
ReplyDeleteAgreed and cosigned. Its a twisted reality that some folks live!
ReplyDeleteTotally agreed! She has roots now, family allegiances.....nothing like TVD, where she was a bit character, solely used for driving plot.
ReplyDeleteThey totally need their original bodies back.
ReplyDeleteTrue, but weirdly enough he is Australian.
ReplyDeleteThis is how you do a season premiere! Wow.
ReplyDeleteJust one thing that made me wanna fast forward (scenes with Cami) and that is a rare thing for me these days.
Not to worry Narducci as well as Daniel and Joseph have all said it isn't going to happen. This show won't turn into the farce that is TVD.
ReplyDeleteMore than "Awesome"
ReplyDeleteAn Aussie accent is by no means the same as a Brit one. Just saying.....
ReplyDeleteI'm well aware. I just find it interesting.
ReplyDeleteThe premiere was just perfect. The only thing I'll say is: bring back the real Kol, Esther and Finn!
ReplyDelete
