I voted OK because to me it was boring only thing I like was the Charmings being cute and over protective parents to Emma I mean is Rumple ever going change and so hope Belle is really on to him because he don't deserve Belle and if she is hope she make him work for it
There was so much going on in this episode I dont know where to start. Lets just say I didnt care for the date part of the episode one bit. Even with the lady and the tramp moment by that random couple. Operation Mongoose is on the way. Henry is playing Rumple for Regina I love everything involving Fantasia. From The Apprentice being turn into a mouse, to the broom coming to life and finding the Apprentice, seeing the hat again, and the music playing from Fantasia playing in the background as Henry swipe (the not so dirty) floor. Will poor will he missing Ana. Poor guy i feel sorry for him. I'm glad Anna and Krisoff reunited and Anna played Rumple. Sven needs to stop stealing the scenes lol. Rip Van Winkle on the radio trying to stay a wake.
What made the episode so for me is when Rumple called Hook a puppy dog. I feel like the creators finally heard me when i was calling Hook a love sick puppy dog for the last 2 season. THANK YOU.
The CaptainSwan date was everything I imagined and more! There was a few minor hiccups, but all in all, it was very satisfying! Emma looked absolutely gorgeous in her dress and Killian looked very handsome in his new clothes too. Also, loved the Lady and the Tramp reference at the beginning of the date.
Seeing one of the magic brooms from Fantasia was so cool! What a nice surprise. Also, hearing the music from Fantasia was awesome.
Wonder what Will was doing with the Alice in Wonderland book. Is he trying to go back to Wonderland and Anastasia? or maybe trying to bring everyone from Wonderland to Storybrooke?(doubt it but I would be so damn happy if they do come).
Henry going undercover and being Rumple's apprentice is going to be so great to watch. The first mission of Operation Mongoose is in full effect!
Kristoff and Anna reuniting was so sweet. And Sven making laughing noises when they kissed was hilarious. I love that reindeer so much.
The Snow Queen only had one scene but it was understandable considering this episode was jam packed with the big CaptainSwan date and Anna meeting Rumple in the flashbacks. Looks like next week she will be back in full force again! Can't wait.
I thought the episode was okay, not that great, to be honest. I did enjoy the scenes between Emma and Killian. But I wish the date would have been longer, and they would have actually let us see something. AND of course the Lady and The Tramp moment was not gonna be between CS but with two strangers that nobody gives a damn about. LOL!
The kiss was cute and Killian being able to hold Emma with both his hand was one of my favorite moments. And I was forgetting to comment on this but I loved how many times thwy entwined fingers, and Emma calling him Killian makes me so happy!
Snow and David waiting for Emma to tell them everything, though! Hahah, it was funny and kinda cute, too. Also YES EMMA NEEDS HER OWN PLACE!
Poor Killian suffering with the "cursed" hand. Rumple is such a jerk and I can't wait until Belle finds out how he has been behaving and gives him hell. Seeing Killian sleeping at the docks made sad, by the way. Hope he will find some place to live in. Just let the dude have some happiness. At least let him have some place to sleep in, where he doesn't get cold, geez.
The part I liked the most in the flashbacks was Anna making Rumple do what she wanted. I didn't really care much about the rest of the rest of those scenes. Talking about the flashbacks, Sven is always a pleasure to see and steals the scene.
Regina only having two scenes, sucks! But I do like seeing her interacting with Henry. Now talking about Henry, I like how he is going undercover to work for Rumple to investigate more about the storybook.
I think there I covered my thoughts on everything on the episode.
NEXT WEEK'S EPISODE IS THE ONE I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO! You know when Emma and Regina have lots of scenes together in one episode, it's gonna be a really great one. Plus the promo looks amazing! Can't wait to watch it. HURRY UP NEXT SUNDAY!
It's a reference to how the enemy of a Cobra (re: Operation Cobra) is the Mongoose (re: Operation Mongoose). It's basically to show the difference between Henry going on a mission with Regina to how he did with Emma.
Also think even though I'm not Emma and Hook shipper and never will be I thought Hook was stupid to make a deal with Rumple knowing who he is and I like what Rumple said even though Hook is trying to be a good man to me he will always be a pirate and seriously only two scenes of Regina also did I miss the part where Henry and Snow was trying give Regina hope
right, but isn't that the same with Gold? if we calling things as they are then why do people root for him and and Belle why is supposedly trying to change, sounds like hypocrisy from him and fans.
I'm really disappointed in Once upon a time this season. The writing is bad. The only characters that are still awesome are Emma, Regina and Will (yeah, they could't ruin him if they tried!). Hook just lost me - when did he become so stupid? The frozen characters are cool but the Snow Queen is such a wasted opportunity to make Disney clash with the original story (I really thought that's what they were heading towards). Most of the time, every one else either annoy me or leave me indifferent. Especially Belle and Rumple and that's saying a lot because Beauty and the Beast is my favorite fairy tale. I guess I'm out...
You do not do freaking deals with the Dark One. DAMN. Like they never learn their lesson. hOOK YOU ARE SCREWED BUDDY! What happened to Ana?. Will's face was not a good when he saw her picture. ANA WHERE ARE YOU?
my opinion: best episode since begin. Come on, People! Rumple/Mr.Gold-"scream": wouldn't be interesting and credible if he only be good and nice. He is my favorite caracter and I most love so much to watch him/Carlyle. Yes I want a happy ending for him and of corse for Belle, but not today or tomorrow.
the only thing that would be good/refreshing is if the characters learned and grew from their mistakes instead of making the same ones over and over for the sake of an uninteresting plot line and to provide tension to a romance.
(also that is the definition of insanity so either the writers are loony or all the characters are)
lets try having Hook not make the same mistake as he did last season with Zelena and be honest, what a shocking idea.
was a meh episode that was just used a setup to the further cockup that is to come.
because lying, deception and trickery is a great way to start a marriage. that is not a secret that is 100% lying about everything. and how many times can you forgive someone who keeps doing the same shit over and over, when do we call that an abusive relationship?
Really liking all the Frozen characters. Sven is too cute and funny. XD
Anna's trusting nature has gotten her into deep trouble though. I am anxious to see where she is and who did it - I have a few theories.
David and Snow acting like parents seeing their 16 year old daughter going to prom was too funny. lol
I wonder if the couple at the restaurant eating spaghetti together was Lady and Tramp in human form. :P
Hate that Hook made a deal and ruined everything for himself over a hand he lost centuries ago. Making deals with Rumple is never a good idea Hook! When are people going to realize this? Deal-making Rumple never plays nice and is always 2 steps ahead. Hook was right about the hand, but doubted himself and now he's without a hand again and Rumple got him to taste the darkside. *sigh* No doubt there will be major fallout in the future.
Rumple's destroyed all his progress (so much for his promise to Neal - he sure forgot that quick!) and Belle is so blind. And Henry's blind to Regina's plans for the writer and re-writing the book.
And why are Regina & Henry assuming it's the writer's fault? I hope when they find the writer he/she proves that they're not in control, they just see the past/future. That way Regina has no one to blame her problems on but life. Life sucks sometimes Regina - for "bad" people especially, even after they've changed. Take it from some reformed ex-cons. I really don't believe it's the writer's fault.
Henry's so going to find himself in trouble playing spy and I don't know what Rumple's capable of at this point.
If she doesn't leave him at least for a while after learning his secrets she is really going to annoy me. I'm on my last nerve with her character for being so forgiving. He was supposed to have changed. Until he keeps that promise he made to her and Neal, Rumple doesn't deserve her love.
Rumple's never been "the Beast" for me. The Beast was never intended to be evil or do evil things, but rather a shallow guy who became bitter after he was turned into a beast. Beauty and the Beast being my favorite too. It's sad my favorite fairytale was also the one most turned upside down on this show - besides Peter Pan, which I never watched anyway.
This Rumple/Belle story has been an on/off liking. Sometimes I like them, sometimes I don't. I want to, but I guess I can't until Rumple gets his act cleaned up.
I love you Hook, and i know you are a good man is there (you are better, love is your inspiration) but seriously you are in deep crap and its aint gonna be better and Rumple played you so much... onto the hand, your fears and your love and how Emma sees you... she doesnt care if you have a hook or hand... but trust is valuable to her. I just hope he rises above and tells us and knowing Hook he knows this and he also knows how it feels to carry guilt. I loved seeing Emma all open and embracing on the date, without walls and armour - this is the Emma underneath that we dont see thats there, hiding away.
Being a pirate doesnt mean he cant be a good man. His pirate ways do come in handy for Team Charmings when it needed to. And no i dont look down on his pirate label. He can be a pirate and be a good man too.
Mr. Gold-postscript: as long as you don't hassle him, he leaves you in "peace", he's kind (in his way). Are you beginning to get angry at him, he shows you what he makes of it and you've to deal with it. That why I love him so much.
Me too! Saved me a lot of typing! ;) But seriously, the date did not live up to my expectations and considering that Rumple truly became the biggest a$$ in my book, the least he could have done after tricking Hook/Killian about the hand was let him keep it! I mean, if the thing's not cursed, then let him have his hand. He'd probably be more help or "handy" (forgive the pun I couldn't resist) if he had both hands...or maybe not since he's lived with the hook for so long, but the point remains.
I have never been much of a fan of Rumple and his sneaky ways. I am although a fan of Robert Carlyle and it's impossible to not admit he does an incredible job on the show. But Rumple is the worst. People (just his fans) always try to make him look like he is not much of a villain or not AS MUCH as Regina is but the dude is so dark and only cares for power. Who knows what he wants Killian to do. Nothing good, of course. Like I said in my previous post. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL BELLE KNOWS ABOUT ALL OF THIS AND GIVES HIM HELL.
Eh . . . this is just a fantasy show so I'm not looking at it too deep.
Of course, deception is a horrible way to start a marriage and is a surefire way to doom it, but I love Rumple/Gold. He's a bad guy, and I happen to like him that way. I'm sure Belle will do what most of you seem to want and leave Rumple.
That's probably for the best anyway. She drags him down w/her goodness. Haha!
Interesting. I've always been a fan of the villains. Not all the time mind you, but I like a good villain.
On this show, I like Gold, but hate Hook. I hated that woman from last year- Regina's sister I believe - and Peter Pan. I hated them and wanted them dead.
I have a love/hate thing w/Regina. I like her more when she's being good than when she's bitter and evil blaming small children for her man problems.
It really all depends for me. RC is so brilliant at being Rumple/Gold that I just love the character. I love him when he's being good. I love him when he's being bad. I just love him. He's my favorite character on this show.
that is a wonderfully horrible way to look at it. i like it better when he is being devious/mischievous but this season he seems off from that , more somber and intractable/angry. honestly don't give two shakes what Belle does, don't care for her character that much if at all.
the ep wasn't that bad after all because of Rumple/the Dark One. He's still a big manipulative jerk but at least the show stay true to that and we know things are going to fall apart with Belle. And it doesn't bothers me because it should fall apart and I like "drama" and I like that they're staying in character with Rumple. He changed in some ways but he's not a good guy/hero yet (or ever?) because even if he want redemption and if he want to change for Bea/Belle/Henry, it doesn't happens in a few days and without many bumps along the way unlike with some people..... -> Hook......
Rumple was really spot on with this quote :" This hand is nothing but a lump of flesh. The only thing it did was give you permission— permission to be the man you really are: not some puppy dog chasing after the object of his affection, but a ruthless pirate who will stop at nothing to get what he wants." Finally someone sees how much of a joke Hook's redemption was and how much Emma ignores about him. I hope the writers will follow on that...(but I won't hold my breath since Hook is their "golden boy"/"Hero") so some of the many issues I have with CS can go away....
That date wasn't that aweful because it was so not a big deal considering all the promotion we had for it. But Emma seriously needs to wake up.... and since when Snow, the most good/judgmental (not necessarily in a bad way) person on the show is totally ok with her daughter dating Captain 'freaking' Hook without a single concern about it (not even one line about that even after she witnessed how Hook was in S2 and S3).....
The flashbacks were amazing and not at all boring like they all were since a few ep. Anna really is awesome (the actress and the character are just perfect) and I will forever love Rumple as the DO in the EF.
AND SERIOUSLY, WHERE THE FUCK IS REGINA!?!,! I DON'T JUST PUT ONE OF YOUR BEST CHARACTERS ON THE SIDE LINE LIKE THAT (to put your worst on the front...) IN THE FIRST 4 EPISODES OF YOUR SEASON!
I like everything you said ;) And yeah how great was that Fantasia storyline! :) The Will/Anna thing was amazing (but sad) and THAT Rumple's line! Thank whoever the one who wrote that! Now I need a follow up :)
I knew this wasn't going to work. It's obviously that Hook is not perfect. He has defects, like everyone, and one of them is his temperament. This will explode sooner or later. Belle will get angry with Rumple and Emma will get angry with Hook. However,I think Emma will forgive him because he did what he did with good intentions. What Rumple did shows that he won't never change. But that's fine, all villains can't be redeemable Flashbacks were great. It was an interesting twist. Anna came back to Arendelle,so what happened with her?And I'm glad we got some answers about the Sorcerer's hat.
Why did The Socerer's hat swallow his apprentice? Had fun with the episode. Loved the psychological games Gold played with Hook. Did not expect Emma to wear *that* dress. It was pretty but a little tooo um...princessy? to seem a natural fit for her. My one question is..why was she following the Snow Queen without backup in a situation that just screamed ambush. I left the room for a minute...is Henry working under cover at Gold's store. And thank you for including the image fo the broom walking. I am enjoying the season so far.
Just eh. No. It wasn't good, at all. I mean... And EVIL HAND. That's what they're going with??? They have a show where they could (depending on if they had the rights) do many fairytale characters/legends. Like Hurcules, or the Arthurian legends, but instead they do an episode based on the man pain of Rumple and Hook - where the audience are shown once again how neither have changed. It was a waste of an episode. Snow and Charming were given scenes that were pretty pointless, with no plot. And there's been a serious lack of Regina.
The only thing that will make things better is seeing Elizabeth and Lana on screen together.
That was pretty bad. On the plus side: Robert Carlyle's acting, some fun moments with the Dark One/Sorcerer's Apprentice story and Rumple and Anna in flashbacks, Henry being excited about Operation Mongoose and going undercover. Everything else was forgetable. The "evil hand" story made me roll my eyes until it hurt and I don't even recognize Emma anymore these days. It's like her character got a makeover on more than one level. It also annoys me that you can tell they once again cut a lot of scenes. Even scenes that were teased in the press release for example.
Lots of good stuff! - The flashbacks scenes were amazing and Anna is just precious. It was fun seeing a fundamentally good person having to interact with the Dark One and I think she handled it pretty great in the end.I didn't expect her to make it back to Arandelle so soon or at all.Curious to see how she was seperated from Elsa again.
- As always,I'm always a fan of how the flashbacks parallel the present,in this case with the "love is a weapon" theme.Shady Gold is my favorite and he was just toying with Hook and his insecurities.I do however believe that when everything is revealed (sooner rather than later) he will be the one to pay the biggest price and with good reason. For someone who has so much experience with the "magic always comes with a price" concept,he just doesn't seem to be able to help himself most of the time.I am expecting and hoping for some serious consequences here.
- The whole thing with Hook was painful to watch because you just knew that it was gonna blow up with his face.He was just the definition of insecurity and thus allowed Gold to play him.The whole thing with the hand was a little weird, but I think it was perhaps meant to be.I mean,a cursed hand that can undo the progress he made? How did he not see that coming!?It just shows how many issues he has.But while I dop expect Emma and the others to be somewhat pissed,I think it'll bring some things forward, that have to be addressed for everything to work out.
- Apart from all the drama, the preparations for the date and the date itself were lovely to watch. Finally, for the modern(ish) clothes,it was about time! The Charmings' (and Elsa's) reactions were pretty great throughout the whole thing.
"magic always comes with a price" : I think, he is the only one which really knows what it means. Perhaps (wish would/could be true) he will now collect magic in the hat, to have the most magic/or enough magic to command the dagger, so he will be free, perhaps can destroy the dagger. Don't forget: the one which has the dagger, is the dark-one, but you can only be really free if someone kills you and becomes the new dark-one. In the meantime you've always feared, that someone tries to kill you to be the new dark-one, or tries to steal the dagger to can command over you.
There's an idea I noticed though....all the characters keep thinking they can't change, because they are "bound" by magic (and magic is also fate). Rumple thinks it's the sword, Hook thought it was his hand, Regina wants to change the ending to the book, Emma is still learning her own powers, and then we have Snow Queen and Elsa also wrestling with these demons....I think the writers are misleading us...I think when it gets down to it, Rumple will redeem himself again...
As far as CS goes, it was a step forward and as usual two steps back. Emma totally letting her walls down for Hook and Hook trying to do the right thing but messing it up. In the end, I think it will work itself out as the creators have really made it hard for CS to not happen. Many non- CS shippers but way more CS shippers. The date was sweet but way too short. It seems like CS are in this limbo state; they keep having these moments but they don't go anywhere. Clearly they are both in love so can we not just move them forward and deal with whatever Hook has got himself into for his love for Emma. As Rumole says Love is a powerful weapon but most people don't know how to wield it. But Emma does so she will save Killian. I disagree with those who think Hook does not deserve happiness. Yes he was a pirate and is not perfect but no one is in Stprybrooke and the story is about the good and bad in all the characters. Hook has redeemed himself. Yes he still does stuff- so do all of them but doesn't mean he can't be in love and have someone fall in love with him. What I love about Emma and Hook is that they keep each other good and make each other be accountable but they recognize in each other that neither one is perfect and have flaws. I really hope, this is not a season long dragged out love story. I am okay with the test and the drama but not having this drag out for, another season where we see Hook's bad boy ways getting I the way and we have to wait till the end of season 4 for them to be truly together. It's been long enough and they can be together and fight the villains in each arc. It's time. I have loved Once so,far but some stories if they are not told right really have the potential to ruin that success.
The episode was awesome, but the Gold/Hook scenes were a bit boring. And the date was really short. It was supposed to be the BIG THING of the episode. I need more Regina! And the Snow Queen!
And Hook becoming evil(?). I was okay with Regina at the end of season 3, but I don't like Hook's dark side.
Great episode! I had a thought, I wonder if that old apprentice's name was Mickey. Since in Fantasia Mickey Mouse was the apprentice and when the old guy is turned into a mouse he'd essentially be Mickey the Mouse.
When Anna said "Then I command you send me and this box home to Arendelle. Wait. And, also, you can never hurt me. Or my sister. And you have to turn the mouse back into a man." she forgot about Kristoff... Poor girl.
When Anna said "Then I command you send me and this box home to Arendelle. Wait. And, also, you can never hurt me. Or my sister. And you have to turn the mouse back into a man." she forgot about Kristoff...
Hook being an idiot was a huge downer for the episode but everything else was amazing and made up for it. Emma being suddenly so open and willing to stay on the date instead of catching Will was strange, poor writing imo, that change happened to quickly.
- Rumple/Gold was brilliant as usual! I can't wait to see his story unfold this season, both with the hat and the Snow Queen (or maybe they're connected). - I loved the flashbacks with Anna & Rumple as well, although he didn't say "do it" the same cool way he did in the promo :/ - Snow & Charming were brilliant lol, especially Charming going all protective dad mode lol. - I'm still waiting to see how Will is going to fit into everything.
Overall it was the worst episode of the season so far but not bad by any means.
Also does anyone else feel they are trying to fit in way too much? I really like that approach but not if they keep deleting scenes, every episode has had at least one and this one feels like they skipped a lot.
It was good, hate Rumple, always have, always will, but the actor´s acting is amazing, and they really need to figure out what to do with Regina, she´s been like a recurring actors this past episodes. Rumple´s character always makes the same mistakes and it´s already boring and repetitive, he just wants more power. Right now the most interesting storyline for me is the Snow Queen, can´t wait to know her story.
i thought it was a good episode. I got a kick out of the sorcerer's apprentice cartoon references (the broom, the music while the broom was walking, and turning the apprentice into a mouse!). Emma and Hook on their date was cute too (except for hook's jerk hand taking over lol) and Snow and Charming as the awkward overbearing parents was perfection.
I am so frustrated with this episode. Frustrated that Gold is just as devious and deceitful as ever. Frustrated that Hook was foolish enough to fall for Gold's trickery when he should've known better. Frustrated that Emma may get her heart broken once again. How many hits can Emma take before she breaks? However, I did enjoy the Charming's reaction to seeing for the first time their daughter go on a date. I laughed when Emma came home to see her parents sitting on the couch waiting for her.
I think Henry as Rumple's apprentice will backfire resulting in Henry becoming Season 5's (or 6) Big Bad in which Emma and Regina will have to team up in Operation SithMoms in order to reign in their wayward son.
I think out of most of us the one who is frustrated is Hook and it showed. Dude is in deep and yes he needs to tell her but Rumple totally played on his self doubts and his love for Emma.
Well this groundwork was laid in the beanstalk episode. And no couple has had it easy esp the ones that matter in this show. And Hook and Emma need to fight for this ... more so. They have literally written Hook and Emma to fit each other, because thats how it should be esp the own character which is Emma Swan, you want her romance to be that... to fit her and benefit her and it does... coz Hook has played a big part in her embracing herself along with home, family and magic
Lol Rumple played him to get him where he wanted. Hook has changed... but Rumple played on his self doubts which was the whole point. This show is about character development and this is what is happening with Hook... cant say much on Rumple because he is stuck.
No, Hook has not changed at all. He just switched his vengeance obsession for a new one : Emma. She is good so he has to be good if he wants to be with her. That's all. We all saw his actions during the missing year when he thought Emma was out of the picture.... When you can show me more than one good action that Hook did (coming back in the last ep of S2 was the only one and even then, without Emma and Regina it would have been to late) that was completely selfless and good (meaning not to "get" Emma) we'll talk about character development..... Hook's "redemption" is a joke and it's the first time someone finally said it. So thank you Rumple because, yeah he may be stuck but at least he's not blindsided by Hook's crappy hero act....
I loved the brilliant references to "The Sorcerer's Apprentice". All the things were there; the broomsticks, the hat, even a reference to Mickey Mouse! These, plus magnificently written Rumple's story (he is one manipulative bastard!) were definietely the episode's highlights!
Oh, and the Knave's story really intrigued me. I'm wondering what happened to his beloved Ana!
I totally agree with all you are saying and know that they have to fight for this relationship. I just don't want it dragging on all season. I think we have waited and you are right they wrote the them to fit each other and that is so the right thing to do. We saw the evolution of Hook from bad boy villain-though I never thought of him if a big bad villain like Rumple to the Evil Queen-in two seasons. I just dint want to go backwards with his character development and we have to wait a whole season for that to happen.
The thing I see with Rumple is he's set a lot of things in motion. Even though he wants to change, there are some very dire things he must deal with before he can be free of his past. That's kind of how I'm seeing this anyway. We still don't quite know why Anna is missing in the present, but we're getting closer to finding out.
I feel like there's a Rumple/Elsa/Snow Queen kerfuffle in the near future.... of the flashbacks..... like it already happened...but the narrative hasn't..... you know what I mean!
Meh, an episode about Rumple wanting more power is just a recycled formula to me. Hook being stupid doesn't help, although his date with Emma and the protective parents were cute and really saved the episode. I'm really not a fan of Rumple right now. What an epitome of a character regression.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Awesome as usual!
ReplyDeleteAna and Kristoff reunion :)
The dancing broom lol, kinda cool.
Emma looked so beautiful in her dress :)
Eh..it was alright…the more things change, the more they remain the same….
ReplyDeleteEmma in a dress makes me question my atheism.
ReplyDeleteI voted OK because to me it was boring only thing I like was the Charmings being cute and over protective parents to Emma I mean is Rumple ever going change and so hope Belle is really on to him because he don't deserve Belle and if she is hope she make him work for it

THANK YOU.
Is operation mongoose a jungle book reference??
ReplyDeleteGreat episode!

ReplyDeleteAlso think even though I'm not Emma and Hook shipper and never will be I thought Hook was stupid to make a deal with Rumple knowing who he is and I like what Rumple said even though Hook is trying to be a good man to me he will always be a pirate and seriously only two scenes of Regina also did I miss the part where Henry and Snow was trying give Regina hope
ReplyDeleteDon't get me wrong, I LOVE Captain Swan. But it was disappointing
ReplyDeleteTook the words out of my mouth
ReplyDeleteright, but isn't that the same with Gold? if we calling things as they are then why do people root for him and and Belle why is supposedly trying to change, sounds like hypocrisy from him and fans.
ReplyDeletecalled the curse hand from the promo last week, yawn.
ReplyDeleteIt was probably the state of mind i was in but i thought it was okay,no great shakes...
ReplyDeleteAnd really, why doesn't Emma have her own place?
I feel like they are wasting MM and David with these throw away scenes and some pretty idiotic dialog...As i said,it might be just me tonight?
ReplyDeleteGlad I did, haha :P
ReplyDeleteThe lack of Regina these last few episodes is disappointing
ReplyDeleteIKR? But we're gonna have lots of her in the next episode and IT WAS ABOUT DAMN TIME!
ReplyDeleteWill R. kill Henry or will he be impressed? You know, when he learns the truth and sooner or later he will know the truth.
ReplyDeleteYou do not do freaking deals with the Dark One. DAMN. Like they never learn their lesson. hOOK YOU ARE SCREWED BUDDY!
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to Ana?.
ReplyDeleteI loved this episode!!!
ReplyDeleteRumple is the best. I love him most when he is being bad so I was happy to see a return to that state. He can't be good forever.
I'm loving the Henry/Regina scenes, and the IQ is interesting. Can't wait for next week's episode!
I love Rumple just as he is, and I would hope Belle wouldn't leave him once she learns his secrets.
ReplyDeletethe only thing that would be good/refreshing is if the characters learned and grew from their mistakes instead of making the same ones over and over for the sake of an uninteresting plot line and to provide tension to a romance.
ReplyDelete(also that is the definition of insanity so either the writers are loony or all the characters are)
lets try having Hook not make the same mistake as he did last season with Zelena and be honest, what a shocking idea.
was a meh episode that was just used a setup to the further cockup that is to come.
because lying, deception and trickery is a great way to start a marriage. that is not a secret that is 100% lying about everything. and how many times can you forgive someone who keeps doing the same shit over and over, when do we call that an abusive relationship?
ReplyDeleteReally liking all the Frozen characters. Sven is too cute and funny. XD
ReplyDeleteAnna's trusting nature has gotten her into deep trouble though.
ReplyDeleteYeah this season Snow and David really don't have a lot to do. Disappointing really for their characters.
ReplyDeleteI thought the scenes tonight were funny though. Just wish for them to have more than that.
ReplyDeleteThis Rumple/Belle story has been an on/off liking.
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing Emma all open and embracing on the date, without walls and armour - this is the Emma underneath that we dont see thats there, hiding away.
Being a pirate doesnt mean he cant be a good man. His pirate ways do come in handy for Team Charmings when it needed to. And no i dont look down on his pirate label. He can be a pirate and be a good man too.
ReplyDeleteRumple played him. He totally played into Hook's fear and now this.
ReplyDeleteHook was a fool in this episode.
ReplyDeleteMr. Gold-postscript: as long as you don't hassle him, he leaves you in "peace", he's kind (in his way). Are you beginning to get angry at him, he shows you what he makes of it and you've to deal with it. That why I love him so much.
ReplyDeleteMe too!
ReplyDeleteI have never been much of a fan of Rumple and his sneaky ways.
ReplyDeleteI have no doubt she will leave him, which will annoy me but it is bound to happen!
ReplyDeleteEh . . . this is just a fantasy show so I'm not looking at it too deep.
ReplyDeleteOf course, deception is a horrible way to start a marriage and is a surefire way to doom it, but I love Rumple/Gold. He's a bad guy, and I happen to like him that way. I'm sure Belle will do what most of you seem to want and leave Rumple.
That's probably for the best anyway. She drags him down w/her goodness. Haha!
He sure was! Haha!
ReplyDeleteExactly! If Hook hadn't threatened Gold, Gold wouldn't have played him so hard. Hook got what he deserved. I cannot stand him.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. I've always been a fan of the villains. Not all the time mind you, but I like a good villain.
ReplyDeleteOn this show, I like Gold, but hate Hook.
Rumple owes Hook nothing!
ReplyDeletethat is a wonderfully horrible way to look at it. i like it better when he is being devious/mischievous but this season he seems off from that , more somber and intractable/angry. honestly don't give two shakes what Belle does, don't care for her character that much if at all.
ReplyDeletethe ep wasn't that bad after all because of Rumple/the Dark One.
ReplyDeleteRumple was really spot on with this quote :" This hand is nothing but a lump of flesh.
They seriously need to fix that
OMG yes were was that scene??? another deleted one?? seriously what the f*** are they doing in the editing room???
ReplyDeleteI like everything you said ;) And yeah how great was that Fantasia storyline! :) The Will/Anna thing was amazing (but sad) and THAT Rumple's line! Thank whoever the one who wrote that! Now I need a follow up :)
ReplyDeleteI agree. Regina's the best card they have.
ReplyDeleteI knew this wasn't going to work. But that's fine, all villains can't be redeemable
ReplyDeleteFlashbacks were great.
ReplyDeleteJust eh.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that will make things better is seeing Elizabeth and Lana on screen together.
now, all this show needs is this!
ReplyDeletehttp://imamovienerd.files.wordpress.com/2010/07/addams-family-thing-1.jpg
Oh, totally (I'm crying xD)
ReplyDeleteAgree.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.reactiongifs.com/r/bml.gif
loved it so cool Rumple & Anna
ReplyDeleteThat was pretty bad.
ReplyDeleteLots of good stuff!
ReplyDelete- The flashbacks scenes were amazing and Anna is just precious.
ReplyDeleteOMG! This show is SO cute and fun this year!! XD
ReplyDeleteThere's an idea I noticed though....all the characters keep thinking they can't change, because they are "bound" by magic (and magic is also fate).
ReplyDeleteAs far as CS goes, it was a step forward and as usual two steps back.
ReplyDeleteWhy does Gold need the hat in Storybrooke?
ReplyDeleteThe episode was awesome, but the Gold/Hook scenes were a bit boring.
ReplyDeleteWhen Anna said "Then I command you send me and this box home to Arendelle. Wait. And, also, you can never hurt me. Or my sister. And you have to turn the mouse back into a man." she forgot about Kristoff... Poor girl.
ReplyDeleteWhen Anna said "Then I command you send me and this box home to
ReplyDeleteArendelle. Wait. And, also, you can never hurt me. Or my sister. And you
have to turn the mouse back into a man." she forgot about Kristoff...
Hook being an idiot was a huge downer for the episode but everything else was amazing and made up for it. Emma being suddenly so open and willing to stay on the date instead of catching Will was strange, poor writing imo, that change happened to quickly.
ReplyDelete- Rumple/Gold was brilliant as usual! I can't wait to see his story unfold this season, both with the hat and the Snow Queen (or maybe they're connected).
- I loved the flashbacks with Anna & Rumple as well, although he didn't say "do it" the same cool way he did in the promo :/
- Snow & Charming were brilliant lol, especially Charming going all protective dad mode lol.
ReplyDeletei thought it was a good episode.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that, too.
ReplyDeleteI am so frustrated with this episode.
ReplyDeleteI think Henry as Rumple's apprentice will backfire resulting in Henry becoming Season 5's (or 6) Big Bad in which Emma and Regina will have to team up in Operation SithMoms in order to reign in their wayward son.
ReplyDeleteI think out of most of us the one who is frustrated is Hook and it showed. Dude is in deep and yes he needs to tell her but Rumple totally played on his self doubts and his love for Emma.
ReplyDeleteWell this groundwork was laid in the beanstalk episode.
ReplyDeleteLol Rumple played him to get him where he wanted. Hook has changed... but Rumple played on his self doubts which was the whole point. This show is about character development and this is what is happening with Hook... cant say much on Rumple because he is stuck.
ReplyDeleteNo, Hook has not changed at all. He just switched his vengeance obsession for a new one : Emma. She is good so he has to be good if he wants to be with her. That's all. We all saw his actions during the missing year when he thought Emma was out of the picture....
ReplyDeleteWhen you can show me more than one good action that Hook did (coming back in the last ep of S2 was the only one and even then, without Emma and Regina it would have been to late) that was completely selfless and good (meaning not to "get" Emma) we'll talk about character development.....
ReplyDeleteOh, and the Knave's story really intrigued me.
ReplyDeleteIts a jab at Emma
ReplyDeleteThe thing I see with Rumple is he's set a lot of things in motion. Even though he wants to change, there are some very dire things he must deal with before he can be free of his past. That's kind of how I'm seeing this anyway. We still don't quite know why Anna is missing in the present, but we're getting closer to finding out.
ReplyDeleteI feel like there's a Rumple/Elsa/Snow Queen kerfuffle in the near future.... of the flashbacks..... like it already happened...but the narrative hasn't..... you know what I mean!
Meh, an episode about Rumple wanting more power is just a recycled formula to me. Hook being stupid doesn't help, although his date with Emma and the protective parents were cute and really saved the episode. I'm really not a fan of Rumple right now. What an epitome of a character regression.
ReplyDeleteExcept it wasn't really cursed...
ReplyDeleteWhere the hell did the scene with Rumple using his weird voice end up?!
ReplyDeleteright, more meant that there would be something wrong with it or that is was a setup. etc....
ReplyDelete
