I am shipping Jane with the detective so hard. He might have a bad past but I still really like him better than Rafael. Although I have this feeling that his past is going to screw up the relationship and I am dreading the day when it comes...
This was a great episode! It's such a cute watch and omg the face Jane's father made when her grandma caught him in bed and went "el presidente" ... too funny! This show is light hearted and funny and definitely a fresh welcome from the heavy and dark TV shows that I'm usually into.
I am falling in love with this show. I love the quirky approach...the Latin Soap nods, the cards...and then we get moments like Jane's falling apart. And yay on her Mom for stepping up and being there for her daughter. That scene blew me away. They're setting Jane's fiance up to be the villain of the piece and I have to say the actor really looks the part. I am so curious about the make up they use on her father. It's makes me smile. Had to stop so I could get to work...but there's a murder at the end? Cool. This show is more than the title implied.
The most hysterical thing I experienced watching this episode was noting that the closed-captioning name for the guy doing the voice over is "Latin Lover Narrator"! bwahahaha
I did not think the show would do well but I watched the first two episodes and enjoyed them a lot! I think they have that drama that telenovelas have without being ridiculously over the top. Enjoyed the first two episodes! Looking forward to more but I don't think I can wait a week in between. I think I'll wait till winter hiatus and then catch up!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Quick question...i missed the ending...who was Killed at the very end?...TY...☺...
ReplyDeleteRoman 'Zaz' Zazo, Rafael's best friend who was sleeping with his wife (Petra).
ReplyDeleteAhhh, that's very interesting...this is getting good, lol....Ty Chris...☺...
ReplyDeleteLoved it! It's unfolding quite nicely. Wonder what mystery will unravel next!
ReplyDeleteThis episode was more amusing than the pilot, which I thought was just okay.
ReplyDelete- The voiceover guy was funny this week and the "frickin' doctor" bit was especially good.
- I just about died when they revealed Bridget Regan's character to be the doctor's step-mother.
- I'm glad Zaz is dead.
- I didn't really like Jane's mom in the pilot but she's growing on me.
- The more I get to know Jane's fiancé the more I dislike him.
- I hope Jane's bio dad isn't as much of a lunkhead as he seems to be.
Really hate the narrator....Its f*** cheesy..
