I liked the double-episode premiere. It did a good job at rebooting the story and offered a few good action sequencing, more importantly Sandy's lynching on the street. What I didn't like was the motherhood storyline. We all know that Carrie is an unfit mother, we didn't need to be drilled in with that notion by exposing the baby to being driven in the front seat, nearly left locked up in a stationed car or, more controversially, accidentally (or intentionally?) drowned in a bathtub. I think the writers are underestimating the audience there. In any case, that poor baby girl would be better off being given up for adoption.
It was pretty good, but not as compelling as before. I agree about the baby thing. It was not nice. We have KNOWN she shouldn't have the baby, and she wanted to give the baby up right from the start. Her sister and dad were the ones who didn't want her to do that. And then her sister was putting it all on Carrie, so it was kind of a mean thing to show in such detail, unless they are trying to show extra stress for Carrie building up to something.
Finally I watched the premiere. It was a good (not perfect) setup for the new Brody-less storyline. Just one quick thought: - What was the point of having one of the hottest stud on the market (yes, it's mr. Stoll) and not involving him in any kind of steamy sequence?!? Besides: you ShowTime killed him so quickly! At least you should let Corey have some 'fun' in the first episodes - because clearly he had some secret affair with someone.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Loved the 2 premiere episodes, I think we are going to be in for a treat this season!

I agree. The showrunner has said that the bathtub scene will play a part in the future. We'll see.
