Great episode! I like Arizona and Callie so much better when they are apart. They have been almost toxic together over the last few years. At least the realization finally hit them that their problems were never fixed, they never worked them out last year.Maybe now they can start anew whether together or separate time will tell.
I loved Alex in this episode.I'm glad he held his ground and told Arizona were to go,lol!
It was so good seeing Meridith and Callie in the bar getting drunk doing shot after shot,it brought me back to the early years of Grey's...
Well an ok episode and thank god this relationship is over, Callie is not good for Arizona, Arizona is not good for Callie, let this character grow better apart.
I love Callie, as a doctor and with this new bond with Grey, but she is crappy with Arizona. Now it is time for Arizona to step up her game and prove that she deserve to be where she is. I love Calzona when they are happy, but with this huge amount of unresolved issues between them, they were just bad to each other and it was never gonna work. I just hope they don't make them both miserable and jealous for too long, because that's gonna get old pretty soon. Just let them be accept the break up and be healthy and okay about it. I do hope they will get back together though, once they resolve their problems.
The episode was actually good and they finally put the Calzona storyline to rest for awhile. I knew Callie would be the one to want to call it quits from the start of the episode. The whole "take a break" thing was kind of weird seeing as how they took a break for months last season but I guess this time the rules made it different. I think the Calzona flashbacks throughout the entire episode where unnecessary. I thought it was going to be some kind of reveals through flashacks or something. The best part for me was when Alex went off on Arizona. I also liked seeing Arizona and April hanging out until Callie came and made it all awkward. I did feel bad for Arizona when she wasn't prepared for the surgery but had she stuck to the rules she would have continued studying and been prepared. I am really liking the teaching aspect with Dr. Herman, Grant, and Arizona. I saw more learning in this episode from Grant and Arizona than I have from Stephanie and Jo since they've been on the show (BTW why are they still here???). It was all around good but definitely not as good as episodes 2-4.
Agreed. They're just taking up screen time with all 5 of the lines they get. I do think they could have been more likable if the writers actually get into their backstories. We literally know nothing abt Stephanie and only a little bit at Jo. It'll be even harder now for the writers to get into their stories with the adding of 2 new regulars. I think either one or both will be out by the end of the season
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Now I'm sad. Calzona were finally back to normal last season and there was no reason to screw them up again. Shonda better be fix this, damn it!

to me it was just okay. I thought Callie rocked it and I loved the Callie Mer scenes but for some reason Arizona just seemed flat.
ReplyDeleteKnowing Shonda, they'll be back together in know time. Calzona are the new Crowen, people.
ReplyDeleteWOW! I dont kmow what to say....
ReplyDeleteI think healthy and stable relationships are Shonda's achilles heel.
ReplyDeleteI quite like these episodes that are character-centric but almost all the episodes so far this season have been like that- just not right
ReplyDeleteWTH just happened D:. Shonda really likes to screw up the couples. Kepner/Jackson watch out!
ReplyDeleteCallie and Arizona were terrible together, not that they didn't have their moments but quite frankly they tended to be pretty dysfunctional.

ReplyDeleteHealthy and stable relationships, don't make a good drama show.
ReplyDeleteTime to remove Stephanie and Jo. There are plenty of other single attendings to pair up with Alex now :)
