I'm willing to bet that despite their insistence that the killer will be different, it will end up being the same individual. Just my gut feeling. I loved the original and this episode was pretty great as well, so I'll be watching it all the way through either way.
I hope not, unless it's her kid. I didn't look for spoilers online when I was watching, so I didn't think it could be that guy until the episode when she asked the other woman how could she not know. So for me it was a great surprise, and I hope this one follows the same tradition, that we really are left mouth hanging open when we realize who did it.
really enjoyed the intro to the case and the character intro. both Anna Gunn and David Tennant were excellent.. good to see Nick Nolte again onscreen as well. intrigued and looking forward to following where this story goes
I hope it turns out differently as well, but most of all I hope they can make the ending just as devastating as the original. It really gutted me. So far they've done a good job of nailing the tone of the original, especially that whole scene from when Beth leaves her car until she reaches Ellie on the beach. So, so heartbreaking.
Arguably the best pilot of the season... Yes, it is not the most original necessarily, but the overall quality is top notch on every level. The original was absolutely stellar.... This held close to the original script so it's no surprise I guess.
I am intrigued to see how the final few episodes differ from the original since they stated there would be a different ending. In theory they could basically do a scene for scene re-shoot for 7 or 8 episodes and just change a few scenes in the final couple episodes to change the killer.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
It basically did its job in it left me wanting to know who did it. I liked the original as well but I felt it was way too hyped up.
ReplyDeleteFor those who watched the original, does it look like the murderer will be the same one?
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen it yet but they confirmed several months ago the murderer will not be the same.
ReplyDeleteOk, then I can watch. I wasn't going to waste my time almost rewatching the original. Thanks!!!

ReplyDeleteWhatever Carver is right now.
ReplyDeleteI really liked the show so far. Looking forward to the final three episodes.
ReplyDeleteI guessing the promotion is the lead/senior detective of Gracepoint PD

From what i read the last 4 episodes were changed, so its not the same person as it was in Broadchurch.
ReplyDeletegracepoint & Broadchurch both complete rip offs
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info! Looks like I can watch the complete Broadchurch series without being spoiled for Gracepoint.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! I hope you enjoy Broadchruch,it was good!
