ReplyDeleteI was so happy to finally see one of my favorite characters on this return! The lovely (and sometimes odd) Elsbeth Tascioni! So great to see Carrie Preston again. And can we please have that Elsbeth spinoff now? I can't get enough of her.
Diane going back to Lockhart/Gardner and facing David Lee again after leaving was great. I have been waiting for this moment since Diane left so when she started to butt heads with him and then finally be in control in the end was badass. That woman is a legend.
Peter was a real asshole (like always) in this episode. Can't believe he wasn't going to endorse Alicia at first because Finn was going to. What a jerk. Also, that montage at the end was nice. It's really great to see Alicia once standing beside Peter in his campaign, now seeing her with all the spotlight with Peter beside her. Ohhh, how times have changed.
This episode was made of win. Elsebeth Tascioni! Penguins! Kalinda outwitting a Russian thief by using fear of the political police in Russia! Diane/David Lee showdown, and Diane's return to LG after her departure! Will remembered in that little glance to his office! The mild flirtation beween Finn and Alicia! Peter being a jerk but being outwitted/powerplayed by Alicia! The final montage - did you notice Peter has the same basic tie and the only thing that's changed is his hair (white) whereas Alicia is almost no longer the same person?
