  1. Absolutely incredible! One of the best episodes of television I have seen in a very long time.

  2. "The Moon's an egg !"
I am always so impressed by DW writers' ideas and this is one of the most brilliant they've ever had ! I loved the episode (except maybe the bug part, I hate bugs ><). I knew Clara would finally get sick of the Doctor's attitude but I hope he'll make it up to her !

  3. The spiders were really hard to watch but not as hard as Clara and the Doctor falling out that was so angsty my heart can't cope even if the Doctor kind of deserves it. I do like 12 and how different he is from some of the recent Doctors but he is way harsh at times and Clara was definitely right to be pissed at him. Though I hope they reunite soon (well I'm pretty sure she is in next week's episode so something must happen)

  4. Excellent episode. I hated the spiderbug though, I hate spiders....

  5. Another brilliant episode!! This season has been one of the best of the show since it's return. I also think the relationship between Capaldi's Doctor and Clara is my favourite so far on the show.

  6. Really didn't expect such a heavy conclusion. I was a bit underwhelmed at the actual hatching, though.

  7. It looks weird. The Doctor didn't know why Clara is so furious. Or is it only my impression?

  8. Went with OK, I've preferred most of the other episodes over this one if I'm honest.

  9. It was an OK episode the Ending was interesting though i was wondering when Clara would finally confront the doctor about his attitude

  10. I think I remember that last fuzzy time event the Doctor could not see also involved the moon.

  11. Setting aside the ridiculous plot that the moon is an egg (and that's a lot to set aside), I found this episode very frustrating to watch and that's because of the character Courtney. She isn't the spirited girl working her way through the growing pains of adolescence. This episode showed Courtney to be a petulant, disrespectful, and disobedient child. I thought maybe, just maybe this character would experience some personal growth and maturity after this adventure. I had a glimmer of hope by Courtney's frightened reaction after seeing the astronaut killed by the spider-like creature. However, she goes back into the Tardis and starts to complain that she is bored. Nevermind the adults are trying to find a way to save the Earth. Really? If Courtney is destined to do great things as an adult then that's fine. Until then, can we not revisit this character. That may sound harsh, but that's how much this character irritated me.

The only saving grace in this episode was the confrontation between Clara and the Doctor as well as the talk Clara had with Danny. There is a line the Doctor wasn't aware existed until he crossed it and Clara made sure he knew that he had finally gone too far. I don't even think Clara would've realized the full personal impact of the Doctor's negligence if it hadn't been for Danny advice. That advice being trust is an admirable quality when earned. The Doctor lost a bit of Clara's trust by abondoning her when she needed him the most. That's something Clara hasn't done to the Doctor in all of his incarnations, even when it meant risking her own life.

  13. Yea because in his eyes he did nothing wrong

  14. That was Fantastic. I really really love these "fixed moment in time" episodes. Even the last one which was on Mars which happens 10 Years later in the timeline was as cool.

But this ep I loved it, even tho I knew this moment with Clara was coming, since the first episode of this season. There have been moments the way see looks are the Doctor after something he does and say, but each time at these moment she didn't say anything, but today out of fear of bad decision she finally said something and seems like she will be leaving the Doctor (based on next episode's press release).

The Moon = Egg! sweat reveal. So I guess this is how those space creatures(Star Whale from 2nd episode for Amy) get born.

Oh and next episode, Space Train. Yes more future and space stuff, plus isolated location a train, this is gonna be good.

  15. I voted for OK. It wasn't a bad episode but while I think Capaldi is an amazing actor and I can appreciate the way 12 handeles things compared to the previous Doctors, I guess the main problem I have is that 12 is too unlikeable for me. Personally, I wouldn't want to travel with him and I'm just not sure how I feel about that.

The episode looked amazing though, and the plot was pretty creative. :)

  16. Can you please tell me why is it ridiculous? Maybe your high mind cannot step so lowly? OR maybe you are just a bickering idiot...

That plot (or similar) was used in one of the best comic-books of the 90s, Earth-X, and it was not "something to set aside".

You don't want crazy plots, like the moon is an egg? Go read Jane Austen. But that's sci-fi for you, stupid plots and crazy dialogues about non-existen things.

  17. I'm sick of Clara. The Doctor was right, that was a humankind decision, not a Time Lord decision...

  18. Whilst the return to the classic Doctor's "I can't do it all for you, you have to help yourselves" attitude is welcome and overdue, this was still too much of a generic new-series episode. We probably won't see Capaldi shine in the role until scripts are written specifically for him, i.e. next season.

  19. I wanted to get a better look at the baby. All that strum und drang for nothing...zero consequences. The world must have changed an awful lot for the entire planet to come to a consensus. I have a difficult time believing there weren't any lights anywhere on the planet.

I've been struggling to decide how I feel about this Doctor. Frequently his off-handed rudeness and insensitivity isn't charming to me. But I felt for him when Clara started in on him. He seemed so completely shocked. My first thought was of a father who just got his first dose of a PMSing daughter. (Now that I think of it...it was the look my father had on his face when he found be standing in front of the refrigerator crying. He asked what was wrong and I told him 'nothing.' The look my Dad had on his face as he was trying to process this...is the look the Doctor had as Clara was talking.)

  20. We didn't get a good look at the baby. After all the build up that was disappointing.

  21. Went with OK for 2 things :
    - Clara is boring enough, do we really have to bring up a teenage on board just to, once again, confront the doctor about his attitude ? Quit it, for the show's sake, it's getting unbearable to see Clara judge the Doctor every week
    - Am I watching Doctor Who, or is it a new spin off called Clara Oswald and I missed the title ? Enough with Clara having more than half of the episode each week, I want to see the Doctor !
The plot was good enough though, so OK.

  22. You enjoyed the plot and that's great. I did not and voiced my opinion about it. I am not an idiot nor a person who likes to complain. I certainly am not a person who would call people names like a "bickering idiot".

Now if you would like to know specifically why I didn't like the plot then I will tell you. I feel any genre of entertainment must have a touchstone of reality that allows people to connect and be interested in the story. I think that's especially true with sci-fi/fantasy. "Kill The Moon" did not have that element for me. However, I state my appreciation for the performances of the actors and that it was the high point this episode for me.

  23. How can Clara NOT judge the Doctor? He keeps living her alone in dangerous situations. Granted the companions are almost always in danger but not because the Doctor abandoned them. This is the second time the Doctor left Clara in a situation where one wrong move could mean death. Are you telling me that you wouldn't have said anything about it or be even remotely angry about what he did? I get that the Doctor's actions show that he deeply trusts Clara to make the correct choice but c'mon ,anyone would've been angry. Plus we're getting more scenes of Clara in order for us to see her grow as a character especially since they were barely any scenes when she first started out. If they weren't scenes showing the companion's life or problems then every season would be like the last half of series 7, which wasnt a great season IMO.

  24. I was really hoping it was a Star Whale inside the egg!!!

  25. I liked the scene when Clara showed resentment of the doctor but for my own reason. i really don't like the New Clara with this Doctor. She is condescending and arrogant in every episode. The Doctor attempts humor to address it but she doesn't get it. Two of my least favorite scenes in this series have been when the Doctor asked if he was a good man and the second when he asked her why she thought he kept her around. She answered the first, after needing much time to decide, that at least he tried (definitely not a yes) and the second question with the remark that without her her would need to develop his own conscience. In this episode she got a taste of the decisions that he is forced to make all the time and how lonely and difficult that is. Still as she accused him of risking her world because he didn't respect humans so soon after learning of the decision he made in The Day of the Doctor it wwas apparent that she was too self involved to get it. At some time each of the companions have been asked to state why they stay with the Doctor. The answer is usually to keep him sane or because he is lonely or because he does so much for humanity. Clara's answer is that it's exciting and fun. I just wished she would leave. .I loved Donna and Amy/Rory became my favorite. They grounded the Doctor in ways that were funny and sometimes touching but Clara is just mean.
