    Very very good episode, all of the commenters on here each week, have me looking for the little details a lot more and there was a lot to work with this week. I do wonder if that is Red's daughter, or Liz just assumes that, because to be honest, she never asked him. I also thought the theme of jealousy throughout this episode is interesting to note...Who could the man she met in the basement be guarding behind the door? and why is that necessary? and how did Liz find someone that she could work with to outwit her tail? lol who takes a job like that...

    Great episode I still think that Red is Liz father either that or her uncle but I rather he be her father I also think Liz has Tom in the basement

    Overall this was a great episode that had a solid COTW and gave us some nice things to look forward to!

    Liz needs to find a new script I think!
    I thought she learned last season that you cannot judge Red's actions or desires before knowing all the details. ... Guess not. Combine that with her inconsistent ability to make good operational decisions and she should simply not be in the field. She needs psychological help...

    I'm going to grow bored of this "new" Liz quickly. Which is to say I'm already tired of her! I wish the writers of The Blacklist were as subtle with her character as they were with the show's mythology and secrets.

    Plagues seem to be all the rage on TV screens these days!
    I think this is the third or fourth epidemic threat I've seen this season. No wonder so many people are overreacting to Ebola! Silly sheeple! XD

    Zoe D'Antonio?
    IS she truly Red's daughter Jennifer or some other woman he is looking for? Certainly seems like she is his daughter since his looking in on her was inter cut with old family movies. Excited to see where this sub-plot goes!

    Another slow-burning episode that was still enjoyable, but not the adrenaline rush The Blacklsit can be when at its best . The highlights of the episode for me were the interactions between Red and Dolly? (Clark Middleton's character), Red and Aram, Aram and Navabi, Navabi and Liz. The lowlight was definitely Liz and more of her bi-polar behavior.

    Emma Watson had a pretty great speech at the UN about gender equality and how feminism is supposed to be about an equal playing field, not man hating.

    The real feminists loved her speech, the "feminuaghts" as you called them trashed her for not being a real feminist.

    I read excerpts of her speech and liked what I read.

    I agree completely with you.
    Being a feminist should not be about man hating. It seems so hypicritical (as well as farcial and counterpoductive) to fight against mysoginy by becoming a misandrist

    I actually had my own personal experience with one of the bad kind of feminists. I took one out on a date, and I'm kind of old fashioned so I open the door for her, help her with her chair stuff like that.

    I think the date went south when she made it pretty clear she thought I was part of the patriarchy because I assumed she couldn't do those things herself.

    I was pretty stunned.

    Woah, that was an awesome episode!


    I loved that Liz was messing with her bodyguard by getting a body double so she can sneak out to the hideout with the door. That was really clever, Liz! XD


    Liz and Samar having a heart to heart talk after Samar was infected was sweet. I was really worried that she was going to die but I'm glad to see that she didn't. She's a really intriguing character. And was anyone else sensing chemistry between her and Aram in the hospital room holding hands? I wouldn't mind seeing them get together.


    Watching Reddington track down the woman Naomi said to keep secret was really fun! And was that really Jennifer, the daughter he has been searching for this whole time, at the end of the episode? Guess we will have to wait till next week to find out!


    Wonder what the significance of that key that Reddington got from one of Maddox's bottles is. Something to do with Liz?


    Can't wait for next week! Really hope the promo isn't misleading us and we will actually find out what's behind that door!

    Yeah people like that (who jump to wrong conclusions based on their personal feelings) amuse me and infuriate me in equal parts! XD


    I am equally annoyed by a woman who waits at the door for me or someone to open for them though. I just think whoever arrives at the door first should open it and hold it for whoever follows. Simple courtesy nothing to do with gender to me.


    Oh well, we should probably not turn this into some post about social issues and keep on topic - The Blacklist! XD

    I'm actually trying to think of why "Red's daughter" (as we shall call her right now) would be key in the war against Berlin, as Red said, as for Liz's character, I think we are drifting further and further from where she started, what consequence that might have? I don't know yet, but I think her persistence in searching for answers and her behaviour may get her in trouble sooner rather then later

    I wonder where Liz's rabbit hole leads as well..
    Sometimes I think there may be something to those theories some people have about Liz not really being Liz, but brainwashed to believe she is Liz Keen. I usually dismiss them, but the way she is devolving makes me wonder if at some point she will crack...

    I've never really ruled that out since it fits with many of the unanswered questions... and it would be easy to send anyone's bones to a man in prison and have him think it was his daughter.


    That said, I'm still leaning towards believing that Liz is so jaded this year because she has Tom prisoner. If she has been listening to him (even if torturing him to get answers) it would be easier to understand why she would be so anti-Red and so annoyed all the time.

    pretty good ep with a timely and popular cotw theme with a plague/pandemic threat that made me think of the recent san Brown book "Inferno" complete with the clues hidden in historical artwork... of course the ep required some disbelief suspension as you would've thought Liz/Ressler would've definitely had some kind of perimeter or some kind of backup (or at least a hazmat team from he CDC) at the church if they thought that there might be the source for a dangerous plague located there... liked that Aram is getting used more as well

    They seem to be fleshing out the supporting cast a bit more this year. We saw Cooper's home, Ressler's issues, Navabi's fitting in with the task force, and we are getting more Aram as you noted.

    I loved this episode so much. We found out "the girl" Red was looking for - her name is Zoe. I also absolutely loved when Elizabeth Keen admitted she was jealous - It makes her so endearing.

    Not the best episode, but hopefully it laid groundwork for future episodes.


    First the Good: Aram and Navabi getting closer--if an Arab and a Jew can bond there's hope for the world. Also, Red finding his (probably) daughter. I love Scottie Thompson, so it's good to see her. Plus, the Liz body-double doing a striptease for her "protector" was devilishly clever. Finally, Liz making the choice to stay with Navabi--and risk death to save a comrade; and, Liz realizing that she's jealous of Red's possible daughter.


    Now the bad: the writers are really insulting the audience with the "who's behind the door" tease--over and over and over again. Since Ryan Eggold is still in the opening credits, it's obvious that Tom is not dead--so, there's a high probability that it's him recovering & secretly working with Liz. So, we just need to get on with it. Also, The Blacklist, during the first season, routinely used each episode to convey a "moral true" (think "The Judge"), this year, we get interesting stories, but not a morality statement or truth. In short, the quality of the writing has declined. Speaking of which, the final problem I have with this latest episode, is that I'm beginning to think the show's creators and writers don't know where they're going. The usual excuse for slow-moving series is that they have 22 episodes, so can't reveal all their secrets too soon. I'm not buying it--I think they have "2d Act" problems that need to be resolved, soon. Or, the Blacklist will be the new "Revenge"--a show that was fun and intriguing in the beginning, but couldn't sustain it over the long haul.

    "Doppelganger" Elizabeth Keen..........YES! The scene with Liz and her "double" reminded me of Kabuki (David Mack) and her replacement Kageko "Shadow Girl". I would like to see more of "Not Liz" (lol). The "Israeli Commando" isn't Agent Meera Malik, but she starting to grow on me. Tom has to be behind "the door of no reveals", it's the only thing that makes sense at this point. Why is Liz jealous of Red's pursuit of Zoe? Excellent episode...........can't wait until next week.
    Possibilities:
    - Could Zoe D'Antonio and Elizabeth Keen be related (sisters)?
    - Could Liz be Zoe's "double" (to protect Zoe without Liz realizing)?
    - Who is Zoe/Liz to Red and Berlin?
    4 RED'S TOP TEN LIST, I am still Nobody!!!

    I thought this was another excellent episode. The writing and directing was fantastic. I have always loved how they tie in certain music to scenes in this show. I think that goes far too unnoticed by a lot of people (like my wife, then I have to explain it to her :-) ). Anyway, I love James Spader on here, his facial expressions tell so much in each scene. He could probably do half the show without speaking and we could know what was going on just by watching his face!

    I am looking forward to finding out what is behind that door that Lizzie keeps looking at! And what the key is that Red has. I do not think "the girl" they were looking for in this episode was Jennifer, Red's daughter. But I am not sure who it is yet (other than she was on NCIS and was DeNizzo's girlfriend for over a season).

    The show has come back and forwards in the way of showing and keeping the mystery of Red being the father or not and that's why i like it so much. They keep us on the edge and guessing what is real and what is made up from anything that Red says.
    Liz is doing what everyone should think is correct. Facing Red and asking about the girl (Zoe) I like how red tried to deflect the subject like so many times but Liz is having none of it.
    I was wondering how she managed to scape the guard Red put her and they answer it. Nice move Liz tho i believe she knew about teh time for a long time and just recentle she decided to share with Red.
    It was an interesting case i was on the edge all the time wondering how in hell they were gonna stop that disease if goes worldwide but hey they did it. Tho i did not undrerstand what was the woman hidding, the cure? or what? wasnt the cure what Dembe had in his hands? can anyone tell me?
    Nice ending. Liz still loves Tom and she still wants a family is sad she didnt get it when she wanted it.

    LOL i saw the key but i though it meant she hide the real cure and she wanted to screw the guy over and she had a lover or something whom she was going to share the real cure. But the cure was the one in Dembe's hand right?. lol Red and his ulterior motives for doing things. And we are never gonan know what she hide then? at least not untill Red shows it.

    Oops! Just watched this episode again, and want to make one more comment: the baby in the hospital at the end. Neither of it's parents are alive. Liz, from episode #1, has been flirting with the idea of adopting a child; and children are a central theme of The Blacklist (Red/Liz, Dembe, Red/Zoe). So, it would be fitting if Liz adopted this child. It would complicate her being part of Team Red--but it would also "ground" her, and get her to stop living in hotels. Having Liz as a Mother, is similar to Carrie on "Homeland" also being a mother. It adds an element of complexity to the Warrior Female character; and may also help with the Redemption of Tom--he could participate with Liz as a parent to the child. It will be interesting to see if The Blacklist goes down this road.
