ReplyDeleteSimmons protecting Skye from Ward is everything i’ve ever wanted
ReplyDeleteI must have missed that. I thought Simmon just told Ward she hoped he died.
ReplyDeleteShe said that and also i guess you missed the part when she steps in front of Skye in the same time he said: "Skye" and then Simmons said: "If i ever see you again, i will kill you". I really couldn't be more proud of Simmons.
ReplyDeleteMy two favorite scenes were when Coulson said everything i wanted in Ward’s face. claps and claps! What a amazing moment! And the other scene was seeing Simmons protecting Skye from Ward! That was epic! and omg..i want more May, Bobbi and Hunter in missions together!! It was so badass!!
ReplyDeleteWard is on the loose! Hail Hydra (or not)! StandWithWard!!!
ReplyDeleteI really hope Ward will slap Simmons in the face.
ReplyDeleteSimmons saying she will kill ward
ReplyDeleteFitzmack may be one of the best friendships on the show right now
Simmons maybe a little jealous of how mack gets through fitz but she cant
Coulson calling out wards bullshit
Hunter Bobbi
Way too many scenes
Trope Approved!
ReplyDeleteSo killing for Revenge is ok? (for good guys)
ReplyDeleteJokes aside I did like that part.
Coulson planned that escape with...Grant. You can see Coulson looking at Ward's evaluation file and probably wondering if he made the right choice. Bonus: It also mentions him being right handed(where the cuffs were loose).
ReplyDeleteThey suspect Christian is Hydra and Ward knows too much for them to hand him over but they needed to make it look like they were cooperating.
The FitzSimmons scenes (my heart!), the fight scene between May and the guy with the knife on the rope, Skye and Simmons scenes, May and Bobbi scenes... Way too many! Haha.
ReplyDeleteRevenge is not okay but i totally understand Simmons reaction. Ward ejected Fitz and Simmons from a damn plane and they almost died. And he doesn’t even try to apologize to Simmons when he does come in contact with her after throwing her off the plane. . I’m very proud of Skye, Simmons and Coulson! He betrayed the team in the worst way and tried to kill several of them. I’m not sure why any of them should be feeling sorry for him right now.
ReplyDeleteNice Theory!
ReplyDeleteThe dynamic of Bobbi and Hunter is just hilarious. As was May's "You know I don't like you." Lol.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering, too. I really like how the show leaves the audience guessing concerning Ward (and now I get the casting for the brother, after all the years he played Peter Burke, you just want to trust this actor), but I think Ward's fear was genuine. He was nearly crawling up the wall in panic when Skye mentioned his brother. And Ward is not the kind of guy who scares easily.
ReplyDeleteHah I loved that as well, Simmons went undercover she has a lot more confidence now. She hates Ward for hurting Fitz and you can tell she doesn't want Skye to get hurt by him as well. Simmons is the best.
ReplyDeleteI love May so much, stuck as a marriage counselor in the middle of a mission but not taking any of that nonsense.
ReplyDeleteShowdown at the safe house was pretty great, the show is getting so good with fight scenes now and acting between Bobbi (and Lance) kicking ass and May was terrific.
ReplyDeleteThe Coulson/Senator Ward discussion paralleled with Skye and Ward's talk. Loved how those two scenes flowed with each other, and how they made you believe that they were happening at the same time.
ReplyDeleteSpecial mention to the showdown a the safe house. That weapon made of knife+chain was awesome.
I also loved:
ReplyDelete- Simmons says that she will kill Ward if she ever sees him again
- sequence when Ward sr. talks to Coulson / Ward jr. talks to Skye
- May vs. Whiplash
Showdown at the safehouse: amazing fight choreography, that was a work of art.
ReplyDeleteBobbi and Hunter bickering, all of it. Shooting that guy at the same time.
May telling Hunter she doesn't like him, God, I love how deadpan she is.
Coulson calling Ward on his BS once and for all. I wanted to bump fists with him... even if I admit that his seemingly handing Ward back to his abuser is disturbing.
Simmons stepping protectively in front of Skye (yay Skimmons!) and warning Ward not to ever fuck with her again. You go, girl.
It's possible that Coulson arranged for Ward's escape (loose cuffs) but Ward didn't know that, hence his initial fear.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, she should've sent him flowers instead, after he was so nice to Fitz and her last season.
ReplyDeleteI love that May is so damn straightforward. Woman ain't got time for niceties.
ReplyDeleteThere were a huge amount of awesome scenes this ep, but Fitz confronting Simmons about why she left, and Simmons telling Mack it was because she made Fitz worse broke my heart.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't an actual scene but I totally cheered when Simmons told Ward she'd kill him if he touched Skye.
ReplyDeleteOhh so sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteHe is still sexy though. More so now with the beard IMO!
ReplyDeleteLoved May, Bobbi and Hunter scenes. They are an awesome trio! I only hope that Hunter stays the course with the team.
ReplyDeleteStanding with the character is not the first thing that comes to mind when I see him. He is smex!
ReplyDeleteBobbi Star War t-shirt for the win
ReplyDeleteYes! The Skimmons feels. :)
ReplyDeleteHands down Simmons telling Ward she'd kill him if she saw him again. Damn straight Simmons! He betrayed everyone, made you go through the worst moments of your life, gave Fitz brain damage and effectively destroyed a TEN YEAR relationship! Not to mention he's a threat to Skye.
ReplyDeleteSimmons' telling Ward, near the end of the episode, "If I ever see you again, I will kill you."
ReplyDeleteAlthough the majority of people are loving how she is "Protecting Skye," not that I am not a Skimmons fan, I prefer to see it as a presentation of her protecting Fitz. In Simmons' previous scene with Mack she shows how much she cares for Fitz, which she claims is her reason for leaving, so it is clear to me that her words and actions towards Ward were her way of saying "If you ever go near Fitz again, I will kill you."
liked the bickering. nice mement of fun
ReplyDeleteAgreed it was both actually I love the subtleties in Elizabeth's performance she and Ian have together taken the job of breaking our hearts every week. Her talk with mack it was both of gratitude and pain of how he has currently replaced her in Fitz's life and the shock jealously you see for a few nanoseconds that he's bantering bickering with Mac along with finding solution which was only a Fitzsimmons thing.I am excited to see where this goes.
ReplyDeleteWhen Hunter walks in to the safe house and says "woah woah woah, hail hydra guys, hail hydra" the way he says it just made me piss myself 😂 almost as if no one even cares about hydra anymore hahaha
ReplyDeleteCoulson calls Ward "deluded son of a bitch"
ReplyDeleteThe safe house fight scenes were my favorite of the episode, because everything looked really good on screen. Coulson and Ward's confrontation was also a great scene, because it was emotionally, and storyline-wise, gratifying.
