  1. one of my favorite scenes was Oliver(not the Arrow) and Diggle's speech at the end,"I don't wanna die down here".

  2. It's weird, Diggle and Felicity kept pushing Oliver to feel something, even though he was clearly holding back tears throughout the entire episode, and yet he's the only one who made me cry with that one line. Mad props to Stephen Amell.

  3. Mine top5 are:
-"I dont wanna die down here" between Oliver and Diggle
    -Felicity and Ray Palmer scene
-Thea and Malcom Merlyn "DAD" (wtf?)
-Laurel beating up the guy in the hospital.
-Oliver and Felicity "maybe if you did too"(had feelings)

  4. Thea and Malcom Merlyn DAD moment!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Stephen doing a great job and growing up as an actor week by week and this makes me excited as a fan.

  6. I had to vote other here. I had two favorite scenes both had Stephen Amell in it.
    - Oliver to Diggle "John, I don't wanna die down here" "Then don't"
    - Next was the whole rooftop scene of Oliver putting himself in killer's shoes and his talk with Diggle. He almost cried there. And the music was so haunting. SA killed it in that scene.

    Honorary mention:
    - Laurel hugging the stuffed toy.. the jacket was a bit on the nose but its alright
    - Felicity calls Oliver out for not feeling and then saying I won't wait with you for you to die down here. You go girl!!!
    - Daddy Merlyn and Thea made good impression.

This was a solid episode. Lot of great character work. Its hard to put one scene over the other.

  7. I have to agree. That one sentence was so devastating and at the same time it gave me hope.

  8. Oh! Jeez! the rooftop scene. Oliver and Diggle. wish i had a friend like Diggle.

  9. aaaaand it always comes back to Felicity. Before she gave him that speech in the foundry, he was still thinking he was doomed. She can get through to him that quickly. I'm really loving the angst right now because it means that it can only move forward from here. Give me all the character development.

  10. Absolutely. That sigh and a few seconds of silence before answering when Diggle asks him where Felicity went (after Felicity confronts Oliver) is so subtle, yet so effective. I can't wait to see where this is going.

  11. and why is there so little Laurel stuff listed? She had fantastic moments in the episode!
Meanwhile literally every Felicity sequence got a mention

  12. There is only so much I can cover with 9 actual options. That is why there is an "Other-Leave Comment' option. I usually base my picks off Facebook fan groups, Twitter and Tumblr reaction. I'd also like to note that a lot of you pick "moments" or lines versus actual scenes. I'm actually a huge Laurel and Katie Cassidy fan and as much as I'd love to load this poll with her scenes I like to think I pick the ones where KC is killing it the hardest.

  15. My fav surely Laurel and Oliver talking in Verdant whwn she tells him about the stuffed animal so Many emotions.

  16. My favorite scene was when someone, anyone told Quentin about what happened to his dau... oh, wait. Nevermind.

    ReplyDelete
  17. My favorite was Laurel at the hospital beating a confession from "her witness"..
Immediately after Komodo's arrow went through the window she decided to go to the hole in the window and look out!

I just laughed at how stupid it was and how we are supposed to accept her as a hero any time soon with judgement like that. I actually rewound to laugh at her a second time.

  18. Blame the script on that one. I thought that was ridiculous as well. Who the hell does that? "Hey, let's go look at the hole where those deadly projectiles are coming through!"

    ReplyDelete
  19. Ya I don;t blame Laurel or KC for that... Pure terrible writing!
In fairness Laurel had some good scenes the last two weeks. That was not one of them however...

  20. My favorite scene was when Felicity threw some dirts on the coffin and explained it. It prompted Oliver to do the same.

  21. Quotes are easier to remember than whole scenes, my brain isn't that smart. :-) "I don't wanna die down here" was the line of the night, but it wasn't a scene. Tricksy

  22. That was stupid but you can also say that she had no sense of self preservation and was in a destructive mood in her grief. She wanted to see the killer badly she didn't care for her life. What this episode proved was Laurel is reckless and she needs discipline if she has to become BC. I hope the show takes it up once she starts training.

More WTF moment for me was how the hell she moved Sara's body down to foundry and on to the med bay table? Does she have super secret friends who helps her move bodies at night?

  23. I found that puzzling too! XD

  24. I chose other. (Ikr, I didn't choose my ship) I liked when Oliver and Roy were both fighting against Komodo at the same time. That was awesomw. Next fav scene would be Felicity calling out Oliver on his feelings (or lack thereof). Third would be, the words that Felicity said, hitting him, and Oliver telling Diggle, he didn't want to die down there, to which Diggle responds, "Then don't Oliver."

  25. I think this was a great episode for Laurel but I'm biased when it comes to the Merlyn family so I have to choose:
    - Malcolm/Thea scene at the end
    - Tommy getting captured by Oliver and saying "Do you know who my father is?". I miss Tommy so much.

Trivia from Katie Cassidy: Originally there was a scene shot of Laurel carrying Sara to the Foundry.

  27. I'm also wondering why a poll has to be based on social media that are clearly dominated by a certain fanbase. If you had looked at the large "Arrow" discussion forums (which are mostly dominated by non-shippers), you would have seen that the Felicity scenes are not very prominent (or even very appreciated!) in the discussions.

I think it would have been better if you hade tried to distribute the scenes among the characters och then picked out the scenes to be included in the poll. The Felicity and Olicity scenes would probably have gotten the most votes anyway, but it would have made the poll a little less skewed. Of course, it doesn't really matter which scenes we pick (when it comes to the direction of the writing, I mean), so this is really more of a fun fan activity. Please don't take this as a criticism, as I think your poll was pretty well balanced (apart from the lack of Laurel scenes in an ep which actually showcased Laurel and KC's acting) more than most season two eps.

  28. I've been part of fandoms that act like they are at war and frankly it's no fun. Can't we just use the other button and express an opinion of a missing scene and start the discussion that way without attacking people or acting like there are "sides" and hidden agendas?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Probably just me judging by the votes but Felicity's line regarding Oliver's 'cold demeanour' was one of the worst pieces of dialogue I've witnessed on this show. Her writing was terrible this episode.

I loved the burial scene, Oliver and Roy taking on Komodo and basically all the flashbacks. In general the episode was very solid though. My favourite in a while.

  33. Lost Girl was a vicious bloodbath. But SPN's fandom war actually managed to make me watch the show differently. These fandom fights spill onto the show: screen time, writers' perceived attitudes, character vs character. And once you become entrenched you can't get back to the neutral zone.
