  1. The Fitz & Ward scene! Althought he shouldn't have kept him alive... I guess even in his anger, he realized Ward was needed as an HYDRA source. Plus he's not a killer, like he said... But, still, Ward would've deserved it!

  2. My vote goes to Fitz and Ward as well. Fitz condition is still (s/m)addening to watch. Everytime he stumbles over his words, my heart breaks a little.

  3. Fitz and ward he gave that jerk what it felt like although it wasn't enough
Iain is just killing it this season with his portrayal of fitz even though it was a Simmons centric episode he just stole the show

  4. Agreed ward is just the worst he's still evil we can clearly see it only this time he wants skye

  5. I go for Trip being funny as hell and his commentary about that he wanted to shoot Hunter first. When Trip first appeared i never thought he would be one of my favorite characters but he just adds this fresh breeze of air and a comic relief that's not goofy. But Fitz with Ward is a close second!

  6. The Fitz/Ward scene was truly breathtaking (sorry for the unfortunate choice of words). I just about lost it at Fitz's reaction to seeing Ward for the first time since Ward nearly killed him and Simmons. Iain is magnificent this season and makes it heartbreaking to watch Fitz deal with his condition. This is why I'm so glad the show isn't taking the easy route of a "magical" fix for Fitz's problems. He's struggling, but gradually getting better and it makes for great TV. When Fitz gave Ward his just desserts, it was both immensely satisfying and kind of scary - that's probably the darkest thing we've seen Fitz do on the show yet, even though he's already tried to kill someone (Garrett) once. He's clearly never going to be the same again.

My other choices are the lovely Simmons/Coulson scene and Other - the sequence that was in the sneak peek, with Simmons getting ready for her day while that great song plays. Also liked May shooting Hunter, with the bonus of Trip joking that he wanted to be the one to get to do it, Coulson telling Fitz that Simmons is gone (Iain still breaking my heart over here)... and almost everything, really. Great episode.

  7. I want Simmons to come back to the team.

  8. Totally agree. I love that they're committed to showing the damage, but I do want Fitz back..

  9. Do you feel like the writers are kind of blowing off the fact that he killed someone last season? May gave Skye that speech about taking someone out, but no one talked to Fitz about it... He def shot a Hydra agents to save her, so it's not like Ward would be the first person he's taken out.

  10. I want the old Fitz back too but I'd rather wait longer for a plausible solution than for them to rush it and give us something that requires a lot of suspension of disbelief.

  11. I think the fact that there isn't a quick fix but a real, lengthy struggle for Fitz to recover is important because it allows both for Iain to sink his teeth into some awesome material, and for the character of Fitz to have real growth. He came face to face with the man who caused his condition and got some payback - yet he stopped himself from getting full-on revenge so he could obtain crucial information and relay it to the team. That's no small feat.

  12. Oh right, I forgot about the HYDRA agent Fitz killed to save May. I do think killing in battle to save yourself or someone else is not the same as murder, which is technically what Fitz killing Ward would've been - Ward was helpless and of no threat to him.

But yeah, it's odd that they made a big deal about Skye's first kill after Fitz's wasn't even addressed.

  13. Fitz/Ward. Fitz actually hurts my heart. That's outstanding acting. I'm so glad I came back to this show. I wish I hadn't given up on it last year.

  14. I totally agree that it's different. Just kind of expected it to be addressed I guess? Maybe at some point May will at least acknowledge that he saved her life.

  15. Definitely is. I love that they're committed to this storyline, but I am excited to see them resolve it at the same time. It's nice that Fitz and Simmons have such a critical storyline. They really are the emotional heart of the show.

  16. I'm guessing his "plan" was to damage Ward's brain the way his own bran had been damaged, rather than killing him.

  17. I don't think Fitz will ever be the same though. Not only because of the experience he's been through, which might have changed him as a person forever, but also because it'd be cool for him to rewire his neural pathways to be an intelligent asset, just not like the one he was before. I don't know if that made any sense...

  18. Was it just me, or did that last scene between Skye and Ward give major Buffy-Angel/us vibes?

  19. Yeah, that's another reason why I don't them to rush it. I can't wait to see what else they have in store for Fitz this season.

  20. That Fitz and Ward confrontation scene was the best of the episode, if not of the show so far. Great acting from both, esp. the actor playing Fitz. I don't think anyone's reaction to Ward's betrayal was more true and satisfying to me as a viewer, in terms of emotion and circumstance.

  21. Fitz confronting Ward was definitely my favourite scene of the season so far, and I also loved the lightness in the scene were Coulson cooks for Simmons, you can't helo but love a man who can cook, lol!
