It’s with a heavy heart that I have decided that I can’t relocate. I have two babies under 4. Being a mother and wife comes first and I just can not uproot my children and separate the family by moving away.

that's understandable, but also kind of irresponsible to the show too, I mean she's the lead, but I absolutely respect her choice and the reason behind the choice - family is very important. Wonder how the show's gonna function now?
ReplyDeleteThis season the lead has been Jes Macallan and I'm sure she can do it all over again. Joss is the strongest characther of the show and we all know that. They should add a new actress to keep things a little more interesting but I truly think the show can going on without Alyssa.
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping that besides the reason given there is more to the 'story' like say a "Charmed: The Next Generation" spin-off staring Alyssa ( Holly Marie and Rose if the are game ) as Phoebe Halliwell helping her three daughters ( Maia Mitchell, Adair Tishler, and Bailee Madison ) become the new Charmed Ones coming back to the CW in 2015.
ReplyDeleteOhhh S02 took a hit on Savi, but I don't her to leave. I get Alyssa's reasons but probably won't be watching the show if they don't recast the role.
ReplyDeleteThat is great wishful thinking. But Alyssa was all about "It's to soon" when they announced the Charmed reboot. Great casting choices. But it would be odd if not all girls and all children were part of the show.

If I had my way ( following their birthdates ) Wyatt Matthew and Chris Perry would be 22 and 21, Melinda ( Mel ) Charlotte, Johanna ( Hannah ) Christine, Cassandra ( Casssie ) Helena, and Prudence ( Prue ) Astrid would be 17, Patricia ( Patty ) Laura and Henry Samuel would be 15, and Penelope ( Penny ) Grace would be 11.

Well that sucks. As much as I agree with everyone that it wasn't the strong season for Savi, I love Alyssa and the conflict for her and Joss was looming in the background, obviously...And now we won't get to see any fighting (which was always acting beautifully by her and Jess) or jealousy...or any reasoning?! I mean, seriously the whole thing will have to be scrapped...I DO hope that Alyssa will change her mind and find a way around it to appear in some capacity...like half a season at least. If not, I probably won't be returning...But I guess we'll have to wait and see how things turn around. Still, I'm very upset because of this news.

As Paige is my favorite I would love a story about her and Henry and their kids.
Well, that just sucks. I guess now Joss has a clear path to shack up forever and ever with her ex brother in law. I'm not a fan of Joss after her choice in the finale and a whole season ab her and Harry's undying love for each other sounds awful for me. I'll watch to see how season 3 shapes up but I can t say I'm looking forward or care that much at this point. Mistresses just went on my "whenever I don t have anything better to see" list.

ReplyDeleteDamn, damn Alyssa was the reason I became a fan of this show, I know she has to do what's best for herself and her family, but this news does not hurt any less, I'm not going to say I'm not going to watch because of her departure, she had a strong supporting cast, this just messes up the dynamics of the show, I was really looking forward to the showdown of she and Joss, oh well this just sucks!!!:(

ReplyDeleteSame. The thing I was looking forward to most was seeing how Savi dealt with Joss and Harry. Now, not gonna happen. It's a pretty crap situation but I can't blame Alyssa for leaving. Family first, always, just wish this didn't have to happen :(
ReplyDeleteI know, right can we dare dream that she'll tie up the loose ends, and maybe they'll write her off and say she left the country or something like that, cause it would be a travesty if they recast Savi, I'm really still in shock seriously, I'm not trying to be dramatic, but I was really hyped for the war of the sisters:) and with her having had her baby I knew she was gonna bring it like she did in season one, Gavin you already know I love this show, I can't wait to see what's in store for us:)!!!!

ReplyDeleteI disagree. If Savi was so hurt that she packed things and move out from L.A. this casts a big dark cloud over the others. Joss will be dying with guilt, April won’t have her best friend to help her with her daughter, so she’ll probably blame Joss, and our former psychologist will be doing double duty trying to mend the friendship of who stayed while dealing with whatever she has, which will probably be hidden from the other two and will be the ultimate cause of them rekindling, since it’ll be discovered that Karen has some serious problem that will require a transplant.In the meantime Joss will find solace in some new friend, who’ll, by the season 3 end, be the fourth mistress.

ReplyDeleteSavi's story was boring last season so I am not upset she's gone. Without the Joss/Harry storyline Savi has no storyline so they should just write her out and give the character proper closure and introduce a sexy new face!
ReplyDeleteAnna Torv was the original lesbian on the original Mistresses. She could revise her character and seduce joss from harry.
