William Hurt (“A History of Violence,” “Damages”), Katherine Parkinson (“The IT Crowd,” “The Honourable Woman”), Tom Goodman-Hill (“The Devil’s Whore,” “Mr Selfridge”), Colin Morgan (“Merlin,” “The Fall”), Rebecca Front (“The Thick Of It,” “Just William”), Neil Maskell (“The Mimic”) and Gemma Chan (“Fresh Meat”) will be featured in upcoming eight-part drama “Humans.” Based on Swedish sci-fi drama “Real Humans,” “Humans” is set in a parallel present where the latest must-have gadget for any busy family is a ‘Synth’ — a highly-developed robotic servant eerily similar to its live counterpart. In the hope of transforming the way they live, one strained suburban family purchases a refurbished synth only to discover that sharing life with a machine has far-reaching and chilling consequences.
“Humans” is a co-production from Channel 4, AMC and Kudos, and it is scheduled to debut on Channel 4 and AMC in 2015.

No kudos fot that.
ReplyDeleteInteresting cast, will be checking it out. Sad that Channel 4 cancelled Utopia though
ReplyDeleteDon't wait for remake, check the original.
ReplyDeleteI will have to see if I can find it online with subtitles, because it hasn't been shown in the UK yet unlike other Swedish/Nordic shows.
ReplyDeleteYou should be able to find it with English subtitles or find separate subs for it.
ReplyDeleteI watched it with fan made subs and while the subtitles were not perfect, they were adequate.
Solid cast, solid network, and solid source material makes me think this could be good.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely go searching for it
